This is a good question!

To start, I see Mom Lalonde being born into a wealthy family

I also combined Roxy and Mom Lalonde stylistically, and thought that would be fun

As a child, she would be dressed in a historical New York-style coat for children (since she's from NY)

In her teens, I dressed her in a sailor uniform since that was a really popular style in the 1920's ESPECIALLY for children and young teens. Easter Egg: It's a branded tennis dress by Betty Crocker!

as a young adult, a casual outfit a girl her age would wear commonly

As an old woman, I actually saw a Christian Dior dress that really suited her because it reminded me of her original lab coat fit, i also made her look a little jaded, cranky, and VERY chic for no real reason, probs unrealistic shes pretty spunky and positive ( but it is the 50s, not much to smile about, very extreme gender and societal expectations) * you could make whatever assupmtions into what might of made her like this
