She dusted the shaving off herself before noticing Richard’s arrival. Her humming stopped. Then, a brief smile flashed at the young man in greeting.

“’Cuy” She greeted him, in a casual way. “Bored of exploring uncharted worlds already?”

It was easy to return the offered smile with a short grin of his own. Richard straightens himself to lean towards her.

“As surprising as it is, it does get a tad repetitive. Not boring, just the same shit different time and place, kind of repetitive.” He said with a shrug. “How have you been? Been a pocket of change since I bothered you.”

The knife in her hand was deft and quick, carving away at the small item in her other hand. She sat absorbed in work, occasionally stopping to admire her work in the light. All the while she hummed a tune, occasionally slipping into her mother tongue to sing the words before humming again. So much was she absorbed in her work, she hadn’t noticed the visitor…

Usually when Richard visited Kar she was already greeting him before he could move fully through the door. So, when she didn’t he found it only a bit odd until caught her working on something small. Enthralled and engaged fully with her project. The humming and occasional singing in a foreign tongue, not even SAM could translate, was pleasant. It relaxed him to the point watching her work that he sat down in the nearest chair, as quietly as possible. Best not to interrupt her.

Richard can help but keep smiling widely in amusement barely keeping the soft chuckles at bay the more Vetra went on. It felt good to laugh, even at something like this. Easy. Hadn’t been for awhile since he’s been thrust into the forefront.

He rubs a hand vigorously against his head. “Twenty percent is very generous, even if it’s chocolate. Just keep it aside for my sister, alright? I’m not that big into chocolate, she is though.”

Esther mirrors the sigh, nay deeper with a soft note of amused affection. “Is it truly a good time when you don’t remember it the next morning and you wake up in pain? Does not sound pleasant at all, especially with a stranger.”

She anchors her weight allowing Finley to depend on her for help, only shifting her grip so their arms are fully intertwined and the possibility of falling was nil. Another noise of amusement. “I don’t speak German, Finley. Only Hebrew, Common Market, and some High Thessian.”
