Pajama Party! : Ways to Wear the Pajama Trend
Everyone wishes they could crawl out of bed and just head to work in their pajamas, the ultimate outfit for comfort. I mean, who’s favorite day during school wasn’t pajama day? Though school may be over for most of us, pajama day may not be out of our reach! Thanks to the new silky trend, wearing pajamas outside the confines of home has never been more fashionable! Here’s some ways to wear it and rock it!
DIY Céline T-shirt
Ever since those Céline white graphic T-shirts began exploding all over the internet and street style photos, I have been in love and craving one! With my measly college, $405 for shirt was a little out of my budget. My alternative was to paint my own! All together, the shirt probably cost me around $6. O, the thrill of creating and saving! I didn’t want to make an exact copy of the actual shirt, so I went off of some of the others that play on the words! I crossed out the “CÉ” leaving “LINE” and changed “PARIS” to ” ‘EM UP”. It took me a total of an hour to do this so it’s quite simple! Here’s how to make your own:
What you’ll need:
- a white shirt (I found mine at Walmart for $5)
- fabric paint (You can find this at Michael’s or any other craft store)
- a paintbrush
- a pencil
- a ruler
- thick paper or cardboard to prevent the paint from getting onto the back side
Step One
Lay out you shirt flat with your paper in between the front and back. Draw out some guidelines with a ruler for the lettering to make sure they are straight and centered. Draw out the letters and make sure to not leave clean edges on the ends like the original.
Step Two
Fill in your letters with the fabric paint leaving small holes and imperfect lines.
Step Three
The fabric paint will typically take a few hours to dry, but requires 72 hours before the first wash. Washing will take out the pencil marks.
Now just enjoy your new T!
An Apology For My Prolonged Absence
I know, I know. It’s been a while since I have been posting. I cannot to begin to explain how my college classes have sucked up every ounce of my free time these passed two quarters! Majoring in science and attaining above a 3.0 GPA is by no means an easy feat. However, I am happy to announce that I’m back! My summer course schedule is light: two online GE courses and a 5 week organic chemistry course. I also hope to be securing a summer internship soon, which I will keep you posted on! The good news does not stop there! I will be studying abroad in the fall in London! I am beyond elated to have such an opportunity and to explore one of the world’s fashion capitals! All in all, I will happily be posting many new DIYs that I have been working on as well as some inspiration! Thank you all for being so patient!
Much love!
