“Oh, but it is!” Bevan motioned for Harper to try it herself, “It tastes like someone put vodka into a smoothie. In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what happened. I ordered cranberry juice and I’m feeling a little betrayed.”

Harper stared at the drink before trying it herself. “ It tastes delicious” She replied tilting her head to look at him. “ We can get you a new one and I’ll drink this”

Choking as he takes a sip of what he thinks is his drink, he pulls the glass away, “Oh, oh…my god, what even is this? Dieses Getränk ist schmutzig.” Bevan grimaces as he swallows the offending beverage, placing the glass down as far away from him as he can. “It has the texture of swallowing rocks. What-what are these? There is seeds in this.”

Harper looked at Bevan as he started to drink. She smiled until he started speaking German and knew he wasn’t enjoying the situation very much.  “It can’t be that bad can it?”

The Talaugon/Tamaki’s

Mark Talaugon (Sam Milby)- Architect ( died at 30) (Father) Bianca Talaugon (nee’ Cagayat) (Vanessa Lachey)- Dancer (died at 31) (Mother) Harper Talaugon (Shay Mitchell)- Stripper/Fake Psychic (27) Saffron Tamaki( Anna Akana) -Stripper (26) (Cousin. Raised like sisters)

For what short time the Talaugon’ s had as a family , it was still a life filled with love. Mark had met Bianca on the first day of college when he walked into the wrong building for a class and wound up interrupting a dance class. He froze when he got questioned and  wound up staying an participating in the class despite not having been enrolled. This would be his only dance class as he was to embarrassed to go back to the building. He did however meet Bianca after the class had ended. She had to go check on him to make sure he had his pride intact still and the two hit it off finding out they had a lot in common despite their different career paths. 

Eventually the two began to date and by graduation, Mark proposed to her. Bianca’s dance career was put on hold however when she became pregnant not long after finding work with a dance company. As soon as she was able to, Bianca went back to work, and Harper spent her childhood watching her mother dance or messing with her father’s blueprints. All of her memories Harper can still hold onto of them are filled with laughter. She honestly can’t even remember a single bad day they had. She thinks perhaps that was why they were taken from her. So much good can only happen for  so long and the pair were killed in a boating accident on vacation. 

Harper was then sent to live with her fathers half sister and her family. They treated her like one of their own and let slide Harper’s interests in the occult and the paranormal since they figured it had to have been triggered by the young girls loss. Her grief had to come out in some way.  As an adult that fascination has only grown and it is clear her parents death is at least in part responsible for it. She still loves them as if she still sees them every day and in many ways she does. 

She see’s Saffron as a sister despite being cousins, because of how closely they were raised and their ages. She would do anything for her and has considering the fact she ran away from LA with her to Norbury after committing a hit and run on her cousins former attacker.

He quickly grasped the lighter and lit his cigarette. The smoke hitting his lungs was a great relief, but he could feel the woman staring at him. Blowing the smoke to the side, he handed it back. He didn’t like the way she was looking at him. “I got something on my face or what?”

Harper took the lighter as she started to get a color off of him that started to make sense in her head. “ Yes......Skin” Harper replied with a half smile. She was being a tease, but was also one hundred percent serious

Clicking his lighter a few times, it still refused to catch. Nick cursed under his breath as he shook it. Empty. Looking around, he caught the eye of someone close. “Got a light?” It was more conversation than he wanted to have, but he was the grieving nephew and communication was part of that.

Harper was walking by heading to work a little early when someone stopped her. She tilted her head looking at the guy trying to figure him out from just a few glances. “Yeah of course I do” She replied pulling out her lighter and held it out for him to use. The gears in her head were turning as the slightly psychic young woman was trying to pick up on aura’s

“First day of fall is one of my favorite days of the year, you know? It’s still warm out and no one is thinking about winter yet, but no one rolls their eyes when I start decorating the theater for Halloween. It’s the sweet spot.” He nodded from the ladder her was standing on outside Theater 9. “Anyways, will you give me a hand?” He laughed, “yeah, like literally. I need that plastic severed hand. I’m going to have it hanging off the display! Pretty spooky, right?”

Harper looked over at the man decorating the theater. “ I like all weather, but I like fall colors. They make me feel warm inside. Yeah I’ll help. It’d be fun to make thing’s look spooky. “ She smiled before looking at the display. “ Maybe more body parts? But then maybe the scary is about what you don’t see?” Harper smiled again thinking about what people found spooky of her and perhaps her love of the occult and believing she was psychic made people uncomfortable, but to her it was normal, so that was out of the question

Steeling a casual expression onto his face, Victor answered, “Oh, a ton of people call me that - the housekeepers at the Inn, a few of my cousins, the Dominatrix I meet with every Tuesday, my prison husband-” he continued, until the temptation to burst into laughter became too strong. As he composed himself, he clarified, “For real though, one of the housekeepers has, for sure, called me that before… or, she more of sneered it because she thinks I’m up to no good? But whatever. And as far as the song thing goes, as a cashier without the stripping experience to give constructive criticism, and also without the spare however many dollars to buy a new speaker, I think it’d be more appropriate for you to do any sort of intervene-ing.”

“You mean I’m not the first?” Harper frowned a little disappointed that she wasn’t as clever as she thought she was originally. “You live a very exciting life outside your Scoobies family Victor. I don’t have a prison husband at all  I’m very jealous” Harper replied in a deadpan voice, despite making a joke. “ Housekeepers are very nosy people. Who knew? You do spend a lot of time among use though, so I would wager you have just as much a right to say something as me or Bevan? We could always find someone who knows electronics? Maybe fix something. I don’t think anyone has ever used the word appropriate when talking about me. “

“Awh shucks, I think that’s the nicest tone anyone’s ever used while calling me handcuff man,” Victor retorted, a grin tugging up at the corners of his mouth, but returning his attention to the funk song playing throughout the club prompted a sigh from him as he ruffled his hair. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for someone stripping to the Pulp Fiction soundtrack dressed as Uma Thurman, however, I really wouldn’t mind it if they figured out how to get the entire place off of one single comm system.”

Harper’s eyes widened in interest at his comment as she walked closer to Victor. “And here I thought I came up with it myself. Now I want to know the other times?” She added before an easy smile fell on her face. Harper always felt comfortable around the people at Scoobies. She felt pretty damn comfortable everywhere though. “ It is a classic but it really should be done to “Girl You’ll Be A Woman Soon” It’s a sexier song to dance to if you can handle the slow tempo. You could always ask or  break it?”
