You Are the Sun And I-- by lurkinglurkerwholurks, story set during Dick's earlier days as Robin where Bruce is wrestling with the fact of Clark's extraordinary alien power while simultaneously wrestling with the fact that he's Clark. I think it's very brilliant introspection about the nature of Clark and Bruce's relationship.

not mutually exclusive by butchyaoi, Bruce & Duke fic which I am so incredibly fond of. Good fic about Duke which we rarely get to begin with, but also I think incredibly insightful about how Bruce functions or could function or should function as a sort-of parent to his children who still have parents.

The Wind Sits in the Shoulder of Your Sail by BirdChild, Bruce & Tim fic set sometime after Tim's dad's death where they're still wrestling with what it means to have a more officially parental relationship.

I'm a Good Pretender, now orphaned. This fic is a different take on Bruce & Dick, and specifically on Dick and his relationship with his parents, but one that I sincerely think is very good. It utilizes the universe created by the 2022 Batman movie.

And one additional fic which does not have Bruce in it at all:

I think pretty highly of 3:16 by partingxshot, which is an AU where Bruce really dies rather than being lost in the timestream, so Dick stays Batman. This fic is mostly about Dick & Damian but it's actual canon divergence with really serious thought about the comic plot lines and how they would have changed if Bruce had died instead. Wild to say this now but this fic convinced me to go read comics for real lol.

I haven't been reading every reblog of my favorite TV endings post but saw yours and it delighted me because the Hacks finale being so good is exactly what made me make the post! 😊

AAAAAAH okay because i actually turned it on, started sobbing immediately.. and continued sobbing for thirty minutes after the damn episode ended. life changing. devastating. gut wrenching. perfect. beautiful. such a good stick to landing, such a love letter to the entire world they've created in five seasons......
