Actually, this description applies to Hordak rather than Adora. She's not the one who lived in that environment you described. Her situation falls more under an imperialist, military dictatorship type of environment that fed her propaganda growing up. The Etherian Horde differed from Prime's Horde, which was a literal cult.

Man. It really frustrates me that Entrapta gets infantilized because she’s autistic coded when the show actually did a great job at portraying her as much more mature. Like. She owns her own castle. She has a distinctively mature but not overly sexualized outfit that looks organic (like “I feel sexy in this but not too much for everyday wear”). She’s always doing her own thing with great success in areas where others believably struggle for their age (with their element, strategy, emotions). She’s not insecure. The relationship with Hordak was written very well. Like. Yes she struggles with social cues, knowing what info others need to know va what they already know, comes off as blunt. But she’s also mastered her special interest, generally knows what she’s doing, and is confident and secure. I think if she wasn’t infantilized for her autistic traits it would be obvious she’s an adult.

Oh no, you put the anti-glasses on and they won't come off — they're compelling you to "critically analyze" your favorite ship! You still have to do it, even if the ship doesn't seem problematic. The wrong people like that pairing as well, so something is clearly up with it.

What's more, the writers paired Entrapta with someone who tried to conquer her planet. I don't care if she helped him, she's still his victim. SPoP condones unbalanced power dynamics IRL!

look, I know that everyone brings their own baggage to their responses to fiction and fictional characters, but sometimes I wish people would own that a little more. like, sometimes you can say “I don’t like this character because they remind me of people I had bad experiences with” and not pretend that you have some kind of objective understanding of the true meaning of the work and what the character is really about

You know what occurred to me a few days ago? That Hordak would look absolutely stunning in Mel Medarda's dress (any of them)

So I am issuing a challenge to all willing artists. Draw him in any of Mel's dresses. I chose the black one because he's such an emo goth but all of them would look stunning on him.
