Seeing her teammate’s eyes drift to the scar on her chest, she lifted her blanket slightly, covering it. Pyrrha’s eyes widened as she listened.
“The…fall?” She tried to sit up more, wincing slightly as her headache made her woozy. She was about to question further when the look on Nora’s face sunk in. She isn’t okay. This is a lot, for all of us.Â
Pyrrha propped herself up with pillows, careful not to move to quickly. “I’ll be alright, Nora.” She feigned a smile, although she was sure it wasn’t entirely believable. Her eyes kept darting towards the door, as if she was trying to see through it, to Jaune. She still had so many questions. But, maybe it was time for her to give her team some answers, instead. Or if not answers, comfort. She opened her arms, beckoning Nora closer. “I’ve missed you. I’m so sorry.”
“Fall of Beacon.” Nora wipes her eyes again, watching as Pyrrha’s eyes move between her and the door. With the silent offer, Nora moves to sit beside her, curling up against her side. “It’s what everyone’s been calling the attack on the school. A lot… a lot of… people died.” And they’d all thought Pyrrha was one of them. No one could find her, and what Ruby had later described… it was difficult to keep the hope of her being found alive. Yet here she was. “I’ve missed you too. We all have. I just… I guess I’m just confused as to how you’re here right now.”
Pyrrha wrapped one arm around her friend, squeezing her tight. Hearing of what happened to Beacon stung. The flashes returned for a moment, Cinder’s face still fresh in her mind, but she pushed it away, trying to focus on the present. When she heard the confusion in Nora’s voice, she grew still for a moment.
“I’m... still not entirely sure myself.” She uttered, starring at her hand, which she turned over, examining it. It really did feel like it was all some kind of dream. Or, a horrible, terrible nightmare. “I remember seeing Ruby’s face for just a moment after Cinder...” her voice trailed off, Pyrrha’s eyes glazing over slightly. She tried not to think about that moment. “Everything went black, and then... I woke up, covered in soot.” Her brow furrowed, a similar look of confusion crossing her face.

What is Pyrrhas routine before bed
“Well, it was pretty simple before I joined JNPR. Wash my face, brush my teeth, head to bed. But Ren makes the loveliest face masks for overnight! Now the whole team uses them at night.”
Pyrrha is beautiful!
“Aw, you’re too sweet!”

Pyrrha let out a long, shuddering sigh, finally finding the strength to look at her old friend. “What... happened?” There was a look of confusion and fear on her face. “...At beacon, after Cinder...” her voiced trailed off. “Why are you all here?”
Pyrrha had never known the details of what happened, just that when she awoke, beacon was empty, except for Grimm. She almost died trying to escape, and spent the rest of her time chasing rumors and asking strangers all one question: Have you seen these three students? She couldn’t count how many times she had described Jaune, Ren, and Nora to people. It was the memory of their faces that had kept her sane this whole time. Pyrrha’s eyes darted back up to the closed door, tears slowly welling up in her eyes. Why did everything feel so broken?

Pyrrha smiled a bit, trying to contain the excited tone in her voice. “An interesting counter offer.” Readying Milo and Akuo in an offensive stance, she waited patiently. “But isn’t the point of us practicing together for you to try to win?” She chuckled. Her breath was even and focused, even if her mind was not. She couldn’t get that first kiss out of her head. “It seems only fair that it’s a reward if you beat me, don’t you think?”

“N-no, its okay.” Pyrrha said while rubbing her eyes, her voice still groggy from sleep. Her headache had subsided some. She glanced over to the nightstand where her empty soup bowl sat. She tried forcing a smile. “Thank you for the food, earlier. It was a great help.” Her heart sank a bit as she said it. She knew there was no point trying to hide any emotions from Ren. He knew. He always did.

"Pyrrha?"
Pyrrha awoke with a start, she had only been sleeping lighty, even in her exhaustion she found it hard to sleep properly, every time she did the same flashes of Cinder, of Jaune, all came rushing back. Her fever was still persistent, so her head was woozy as she came to, shaking her head as she tried to focus.
It was still the middle of the night as she awoke, Nora was sleeping peacefully in a chair next to the bed, snoring. It was almost a comforting sight, reminding her of the times in beacon they had together. Many a pillow fight were started when Jaune couldn’t fall asleep because of that bellowing snore. Standing next to her was a tall, familiar figure, who was leaning slightly over the bed.
“...Ren? You’re awake?” Her words slurred tiredly.
RP starter for @arclight-knight
[This verse is meant to take place as if the Fall of Beacon and the events of the Final Match of the Vytal festival did not occur as they did in canon. Team JNPR was victorious in winning the Vytal festival, and during the award ceremony, Jaune and Pyrrha shared an impromptu kiss on camera. Both of them were embarrassed and haven’t spoken of it since.]
“If you beat me, I’ll kiss you again. Will that help you focus?”
Pyrrha’s own words shocked her. She had meant it mostly in jest, but truthfully she didn’t think she had it in her to even joke about it. It had been three weeks since the end of the Vytal festival. Three weeks since they had kissed in front of the whole of Beacon, and on top of that, on live TV. Neither of them had said a word to each other since, although it certainly was constantly on her mind. It was probably a one time thing, she kept thinking. Don’t get your hopes up. It was spur of the moment, for the cameras. But... was it?
That kiss took over most of her thoughts in the coming weeks, although she didn’t want to admit it. She couldn’t push it from her mind, a task that was not made any easier by Nora’s constant pushing and antics to talk to him about it. But she couldn’t bring herself to, until now. Jaune and Pyrrha’s sparring sessions were still a regular occurrence at night, but ever since the festival, he had seemed distracted. Honestly, so had she, but not enough to let it impede her sword play. So why, why oh why did she finally bring it up here, with her spear crossed with Jaune’s sword in the middle of a sparring match, as if it were a joke? She was sure her look of shock probably outdid the one on his face as the words escaped her mouth.
