on a trip to hyrule castle while serving as the zora champion, someone introduced mipha to baked apples covered in cinnamon and she absolutely fell in love. she normally doesn’t have a sweet tooth, but that delicious treat is her weakness.

❋ – A silent hugfeet nearly slip out from under the zora as strong arms wrap about her waist, a gentle tug closing the space between them as a chin comes to rest on top of her head. a comfortable silence settles in the air between the two forms, neither pressured to speak as they stand atop vah ruta, the sun painting the horizon in purples and pinks as it descends. 

there are no words to speak, her heart hammering against delicate ribs as if threatening to break free. arms raise - uncertain at first - before carefully twining about the body before her, face buried into his chest.

These were tiring to make, but I liked the result! I’m actually printing these on mugs for an upcoming event.

this is an important headcanon and i want to get it out before people start making assumptions about mipha:

mipha is not - and never will be - jealous to the point of disliking zelda. the whole idea of mipha being petty or angry towards zelda because link becomes her appointed knight never set right with me!! mipha is a princess herself and completely understands what zelda is going through and knows that what she’s dealing with is incredibly difficult, even more-so than what mipha herself must deal with. 

she has nothing but the utmost respect and adoration for the hylian princess and is willing to do everything in her power to help in any way that she can. yes, mipha cares a great deal for link but she’s not going to bring down another woman because they’re suddenly spending a lot of time with him!! 

basically, mipha cares for zelda and wants to be really good friends with her and doesn't view her as a 'threat' or anything else like that!
