Mo Dao Zu Shi || episode 23 || Nie Huaisang
The Untamed🐰Song Ji Yang’s weibo update
Goodbye Xiao Xingchen
I add xxc to this mm so I can collect all the white wearing characters that make me sad & are extremely wholesome
modern day nie huaisang sneaks snacks into theaters
NIE HUAISANG greatly admired the Yunmeng brothers. Wei Wuxian in particular was a wild breeze of fresh air in the strict halls of Gusu, so unlike anyone he’s ever met, even in the mountains of his own homeland. To Nie Huaisang , Wei Wuxian seemed to be utterly free , whatever , more of a lifestyle than a phrase or a name.
Wei Wuxian , who said what he felt without fear , who rather take punishment than restrain himself , whose wit and humor could easily be backed with his swordsmanship and brilliant mind. Though others might see a rebellious , rowdy teenager , Nie Huaisang only saw someone he wanted to be like.
They shared the same sentiments in a way , bound by family yet chasing another path. Only Nie Huaisang could not find the courage in himself to walk that road. So he walked the line of proper manners and mischief both, unwilling to make a decision and plunge headfirst into the freedom he desperately wanted.
In the midst of evading classes, and foolhardy decisions, his indecisiveness was not yet suffocating , only a looming worry in the distance. He had yet to choose ( or rather he was yet to be forced to choose ) if he was to be free or if he was to belong to the sect as heirs ( even poor fit ones ) ought to be. - but it was enough , for now at least , to pass notes , and chase song birds with little care of the world.

Muse list change
+ Jiang Cheng
- Wei Wuxian
I sure hope Jiang Cheng realizes one day that he very much fits the attempt the impossible motto considering he revived his sect at such a young age in such dire conditions :’(
I ... want to add & remove some muses ..
They are….actually cute together?
‘ why are you crying? ’ for gu zi uwu
Red rimmed eyes accompany pitiful hiccups as the young boy furiously wipes at his face , only serving to further his miserable look. He looks up at his father , considering what to say before he simply holds onto his sleeves tightly , fabric crinkling between his fingers. He opens his mouth to speak , before shaking his head , no , he doesn’t want to talk about it.
Though he doesn’t want to talk about his own nightmares , he does want to know. Reassurance that his father isn’t going anywhere , at least not without him , even if he’s only allowed to trail along picking up scraps of food here and there. “… Dad is very cool , and very strong , and can’t be defeated by anyone . ” Though he releases the sleeve in a death grip . he wraps his arms around Qi Rong’s leg burying his face against him. “ Since dad can’t be defeated by anyone , that means he will never disappear , right ? ”
he knocks rolled-up paper on nie huaisang's forehead. though the blow is just above feather-light, the smack echoes throughout the room, hopefully waking him up from whatever it is he's been thinking about instead of listening to jin zixuan explaining this lesson for the fifth time. dryly, he asks, "care to repeat what i just said?"
He dreams of beautiful things , inked words flowing like rain against parchment , and cranes that break through the deep blue of the sky into a world of stars. He wants to follow them , out into that world with no obligations , but hard as he tries a pressure keeps him grounded. The gentle slap against his forehead does nothing , but the resounding echo is enough to force him from his slumber. He remains still , hoping whoever it is will determine he’s a lost cause and simply leave him alone.
Only when he hears Jin Zixuan’s voice does he remember he’s in the middle of a lesson , a favor to him in reality. Nie Huaisang makes an effort to get up slowly like he was only resting his eyes ,and not off to the world of the unconscious. “ Hah , uh — ” but he can only give a sheepish smile , eyes scanning around to latch on to whatever his generous tutor might have been talking about.
He finds nothing .
“ I know , I know you said ,” he says more confidently far more than he feels. He smiles back at Jin Ziuxan the perfect look of innocence as he fiddles with his sleeve . “ You said —care to repeat what i just said?“
tbqh I spent 30 minutes thinking about what to write here and I’ve no idea at all, uMMM RB OR LIKE IF WANT INTERACT PLS & THANKS???
Indie Wei Wuxian from Mo Dao Zu Shi
Slightly canon divergent / Canon selective By that statement, I mean that I omit certain canons a.k.a. incense burner extra chapter & etc. As well as strive to expand the MDZS world with reference to real Chinese Mythology & original xianxia elements. Preferable 18+ and have a heavy reference to plotted threads!
I’m usually not picky but PERSONAL BLOGS PLEASE DO NOT REBLOG OR LIKE THIS!!
the person extended a hand toward him / and on that slender and pale-white hand / was a colorful and bright knot of fate. / this belonged to the nightmare the gods talked about with pale faces / a ghost in red setting fire upon thirty-three temples. // from tian guan ci fu / heaven official’s blessing.
‘ i did my best to bring you up. ’ ( for NHS :^) )
In the setting sun , with orange splashed across the skies , Nie Huaisang could not help but to wonder how his father would react as he further diverged from their sect values. Those thoughts would undoubtedly lead to would mother would be more kind ? Would she pat his head with gentle fingers , and paint along side him , or would she too be utterly disappointed ?
In the end it didn’t matter , because he would never find out.
He had his brother , and even among their squabbles and his own cowering , he had never regretted this family bond.
The truth was , no one would blame the sect leader if one day he grabbed Nie Huaisang and tossed him out into the world to fend for himself. It would be one less burden , and to many , one less shame. — but he was allowed to stay , raised by someone who had no obligation to , even with disappointment after disappointment.
Nie Huaisang always thought if he was more like his brother , life would be far more simpler. — but in his heart he knew he was not made for leading . Such things would weigh him down , turn him bitter , robbing him of the little happiness he’d secure for himself. After all , he only wished for the freedom of the winds , and worlds held in ink and brush.
( It was selfish , he knew , and Nie Mingjue deserved a better brother. )
“ I .. I ” he stutters out ,“ I know , ” his voice apologetic at the only family he’s ever known. The way he’s turn out has nothing to do with his brother’s actions , and everything with himself. “ I’m trying , dage , I really am ,” he whispers , head hanging low . “ I’ll try harder. ”
I HAVE some important things to do today but I play to try to be over here today :3cc
