"did you think i just naturally smelled like apples?" i'm so obsessed with him 🫠

do you guys ever feel slightly traumatized by the x-files? I realize that I will talk about how great this show (1-7) is, quote it, tell people they gotta watch, remember moments like it was yesterday and yet…I haven’t sat down and actually watched more than a handful of episodes since the reboot ended because when I do I just sit there and think about how bad things got for them and how they sort of broke up and also maybe had a baby in their 50s after watching their other kid who they didn’t know probably drown and then I’m just not enjoying whatever I’m watching anymore
i have cultivated an approach to everything after je souhaite that allows me to, well, not make peace with how things went, but no longer allow the bad to drown out the good.
namely, i decide that chris carter was playing barbies wrong, and i have taken them away from him.
i sift through the post-s7 canon like a thieving squirrel, pillaging the good stuff out of the chaff and then sprinting back to my hidey hole. the thing is, it's all fiction. it's all made up anyway. so take what you like and make up better stuff around it.
practicing self care less out of self love and more for the sheer logical reasoning of it’d be kinda stupid of me to expect myself to be able to function without proper maintenance
“oh i don’t deserve rest and relaxation, i haven’t done enough, i haven’t earned it” and my car’s breaks don’t deserve break fluid because they aren’t breaking well enough to earn it. that’s what you sound like!!!!!

I need fat female characters in tv whose weight is inconsequential. It means nothing to the story.
She's fat and gets the guy and no one bats an eye.
She's fat and the hottest chick in the sorority and that's normal.
She's fat and an actress and she gets good roles.
She's fat and she's funny and she has character depth and growth.
She's fat and the main character and no one mentions her weight once.
I'm fat and my weight doesn't play a part in my day to day conversations, or plans, or friendships. Why can't I have that on tv?

"why cant we just have anything for ourselves?" -in reference to queer terminology/culture being shared by different queers- is nearly always either a malicious attempt to rewrite queer history to create a firm divide between identities and take the labels/culture/history people of other identities are also a part of, or an ignorant support towards that separatism.
i have seen this argument of other queers supposedly "stealing" terms from a particular identity so fucking many times- particularly from radical feminists/lesbian separatists. and i mean people who outright call themselves radfems- i have been sent SO MUCH hate by so many of them as a queer person with a complex identity and "controversial" labels, particularly because one of the labels i use is lesbian in addition to other terms. im a genderfluid bi lesbian- so whem radfems see me, they say say im to blame for predatory men. where the hell does that come from?
well, its an intrinsic part of lesbian separatism, which is a part of the radfem movement- it pushes the idea that lesbians are The Most Oppressed and any association with men is a danger to them. this also means that anyone who still chooses to associate with men- like bi women- can not be trusted (some even villainize masculinity as a whole, and thus are shitty to butches too). many forced the idea that lesbianism isnt just about loving women, but is the rejection of men (and thus ironically defining lesbianism around men).
so even though lesbianism has included bisexuality for so much of history, lesbian separatists started forcing bi people out of their spaces, then claimed they never belonged there to begin with. they continuously push the idea that associating with those outside of their group is dangerous, and erase their shared history with other queers, all while playing oppression olympics to always paint themselves as the victim.
rejecting umbrella terminology (especially queer) while also claiming certain terms have only ever been their own, and other identities using them are actually stealing it from them, is all part of an agenda to erase other queer peoples history in the name of separating Their Label from those they dont like. lesbian separatists have done this with butch/femme, dyke, and even the lesbian label as a whole, and so many people nowadays- ones that arent even radfems- genuinely think its shitty misappropriation if someone whos not exclusively into women (or isnt exclusively a woman) use these terms.
and i need yall to listen to me here- there is a very dangerous pattern of all of this repeating in some transfeminist spaces that is only getting worse with time.
the constant push that no other queers have it as bad as your group and theyll never understand what you go through, the fear of and continuous discouraging of associating with other queers outside of your identity, the denial of historically shared terminology and claims of being wronged by other queers that use it (egg, tranny, femboy, t4t, etc), outright hostility towards other queers- especially ones that are men or associate with men- and so on... all of it is very alarmingly seeped in radical feminism. this is lesbian separatism wrapped in a transfem-separatist bow.
and dear lord, im begging any of yall falling into this rhetoric to please take a step back and spend more time with varying kinds of queers. i know it can be scary when youve been feeling like others outside your group are out to get you, but sticking to such a limited kind of people is only going to make your beliefs and fears more and more extreme and distorted from reality (thats how radicalism flourishes after all), and any people of your group with malicious intentions are more likely going to be able to manipulate you or others into trusting/siding with them (constant assurance that theyre Good and Safe unlike Those People heavily mixed with isolation is how predators and bigotry thrive).
please, we need queer unity. infighting and separatism only makes us weaker against those who hate all of us. we need to stand together, learn from and understand each other, and protect each other.
But it don't matter how your love feels anymore, it'll never be THE CURE. — by Olivia Rodrigo
being a casual t*ylor sw*ft song enjoyer continues to be my greatest embarrassment
In 2026, the chicest thing a gay actor can do is never explicitly come out as gay but also make it abundantly clear that he is. Coming out is too modern. Staying closeted is too old fashioned. But this method merges contemporary freedom with Old Hollywood glamour and allure, and it weeds out the dumbest people who truly don’t get it. I call it the Pascal Method.
Taylor Swift does this
no she doesn’t
You clearly don't go here or to queer history and signaling, or both, enough to have this conversation and I'm not going to explain it to you. You could have asked questions, you could have done even a modicum of research. You didn't and you made yourself look ignorant. Goodbye.
Australia's latest Federal Anti-trans bill
On Monday Nationals MP Alison Penfold introduce this private bill to federal parliament in an attempt to reshape the Sex Discrimination Act to target trans people while claiming not to target trans people

Transcript of second reading
Please help spread this petition far and wide for visibility The above reactionary bill was made in retaliation towards a trans woman winning a case in federal court against transphobes so now they're accellerating to hurt us all (Giggle Vs Tickle)
Hands off our Protections Our communities are facing some of the most serious attacks on our rights and protections in many years. Right no
Please sign that petition if you can, this bill is worse than it seems. Its primary purpose is to exclude trans women from women's spaces, including bathrooms, prisons, homeless shelters, and sports. It also cements transphobic, intersexist, and acephobic beliefs that are already somewhat present in Australia's law.
It is worth noting that this bill is being pushed by the National party, one of Australia's main right-wing parties. The party currently in power is the Labour party, our biggest left-wing/centrist party. The party pushing for this bill does not have the votes needed to pass it, and thus either needs to convince centrists to agree with them or are doing this to curry favour for the next election or some other goal.
When it comes to the bill itself, they are defining anything relating to one's sex in terms of the sex binary in a way which excludes intersex people in many ways. They also are changing the definition of sexual attraction, and the main change this makes is an exclusion of non-binary people in attraction. However, it is also worded so a trans woman lesbian is considered straight, and their definition also doesn't properly include asexual people. Those wording issues are already present in the original law, however.
They are also explicitly stating that it's okay to discriminate against transfems in women's spaces of any kind, including prisons, bathrooms, homeless shelters, and sports. That is the main change being pushed for.

Keep reblogging this please to help gain attention to the issue! Labor, the majority government, have been especially quiet about this issue while right wing media has pumped out tons of anti-trans political puff pieces while only one Greens member and one Independant member have spoken up!
Email or call your local MP if you can and tell them they need to publically push back and press them on the harm this bills mere existence is causing! Lately Labors silence on issues is not a good one and they are far from being functional enough for the people since doubling down on right wing policy. A simple reminder: Labor is not your friend, they're bought out and working for someone else
You can also email and call your state member, not just your federal one as if they get enough complaints they may additionally bother the federal MP on your behalf! Make noise at all levels of government!
If you don't know who your member is you can use this link to look up both state and federal members, just use your postcode or suburb to check.

i'll be honest it gets kind of annoying when ppls immediate canned response to an m/f ship is "she deserves better" because over half the people who say that then proceed to hyperfocus on some yaoi with the man involved and never give the woman a second glance. forgive me but i think she deserves better than being girlbossed off screen and never mentioned again
