The Letters #6
Love,
Thank you for bringing her to me. You know my reverence for the dead, nearly as well as I know your fear of them. The 나비 sleeps among the flowers now.

The Letters #5
Darling,
That would be paradise forever my love, better to me than the idea of heaven. Sending you a butterfly I found in the garden today. I found its body lying under the pansies, a flash of blue in the corner of my eye. When I discovered the poor creature had perished, my first thought was to send him to you. I know of your fascination with the earth creatures and your predilection for giving them proper respect and burial in death. Perhaps you will give this butterfly the same treatment as so many others.
May the sweethearts sleep well.
The Letters #4
Love,
If I were given a wish, from a genie or leprechaun or tossing a coin in a well, it would be to spend eternity with you in that orchard. We would forever have the sun on our faces, warming the soil under the blanket we lay on as we feasted on the foods in our basket and the trees above.
Yours
The Letters #3
Darling,
I’m glad. Our meeting today was the first to bring a smile to my lips in longer than can be remembered. The sight of you is as sweet as the honey we spread on our bread and our distance as sour as the cherries we plucked from the trees in the orchard.
Remember me in your heart
The Letters #2
Love,
I know. You never mean to hurt me, and truthfully you never have. Your fists are too light on my skin and your words have no hope of piercing my heart, held back as they are. I’m sure, dear, that if I truly angered you and was deserving, you would flay me within an inch of my life. All the same, that is not something you would ever do.

The Letters #1
Darling,
I’m sorry for what I said today. It was rude of me. I never meant to hurt you. Please write me soon, I’m looking forward to our upcoming time together.
Yours

A collection of short letters. Each letter will be short (think quick snippets of conversation and stolen glances).
The entire collection will likely be roughly 12 or 14 parts, each a small exchange captured by paper.
The collection tag is #fwletters if you want to find them all in one place.
The first letter will be posted tomorrow morning.
Cultural Dissonance Poem (Bonus)
The dog
There came a flood
Pounding rains on my glass roof
So loud i couldn't sleep for fear it’d shatter
The rains came swiftly
A dog sleeping on a rock in the river
Was caught in the storm
People gathered on the bank
Made plans to get it out
As the river swelled
Rushed, roared
And the trees swayed
Yet they waded
Into rushing water
Arms linked
Heads bowed
To carry the dog home
Cultural Dissonance Poem #3
Cultural Dissonance Poem #2
Maracuya
Brilliant yellow or faded grey
Over black seeds
Sweet and tart
Spread over cream
The sun shining over the earth
It was abundant
Always near
Like the tree tomatoes
And coconut candies
Now a fog on the edge of my vision
Disappearing with a glance
I spend
Hours
Searching stores
For a fruit like passion
Hoping for a glimpse
A hint
Of the taste of home
Cultural Dissonance Poem #1
I speak in tongues
Words come like fire,
Spitting off the tongue
They flow and skip,
water over stones
Twist from the mouth leave confusion in their wake
Indecipherable, a puzzle made of sound
Patterns and course
Nearly silent at once
Then
Rushing too fast for comprehension
Long to
Speak, words no longer
Trapped in cages
When they should fly off the tongue like birds
A Short Intro For Y'all
Hey y'all! I'm Lucia and this account is a collection of some of my favorite things I've written and am currently writing! I'm especially going to do a couple various series of works (secret letters, A-Z prompt stories, ect.) from now, as well as post some of the things I've written previously.
I like to write mainly fiction stories, many of which are slice-of-life, fantasy, and horror. If you have a prompt you want to see go ahead and leave an ask and I'll see what I come up with, I always love new inspiration!
I also have a website (https://www.faulknerwritesstories.com) if you want to see more stories outside of the collections that I've posted here.
