More Sanji celebrity chef headcanons (Zosan edition) 👨🍳💗
Pt. 1
- The first time Zoro ever watched an episode of Sanji's cooking show was one night when his remote control got busted and he could only watch one channel. The cooking channel.
- He was too tired from work to get up from the couch and change the batteries so he said why not and well, the rest is history.
- It was a double episode special and Zoro found himself... invested. Sure, he could admit the man was easy on the eyes but Zoro convinced himself that he was only watching it to learn something. Since cooking is not his strong suit and living by 'whatever to eat' is not fun.
- Zoro found himself drawn to the way his strong arms and hands moved, chopping and kneading but also in the short stories he would tell as he cooked. Something about him traveling the seas with his dad and short-lived adventures in cooking school. Zoro had to physically stop himself from smiling at times.
- From that day on, Zoro religiously watched every weekly episode on cable tv.
- He found himself rewinding half the episode because he was too distracted at Sanji's face. How dare the camera frame his face when Zoro clearly is only here to learn how to make mushroom gnocchis.
- On sunday lunch with the gang he decided he should bring something to eat and followed Sanji's cookbook (he got a library card just to get it, don't judge).
- It was a decent attempt at garlic knots. While wrapping them in foil paper he recalled the episode when Sanji said he wishes he could taste people's takes on his book recipes.
"Here goes nothing, cook" - Zoro thinks as he lays the garlic knots on the table at Robin's place.
"What is that?"
"It's a recipe I got from that cooking show. Sanji's show" - Zoro shrugs uninterestedly.
"Not you on first name base with the guy from the tv" - Nami laughs.
"I think someone has a crush" - Usopp commented as he grabbed a garlic knot.
"I'm just trying to learn how to cook"
Obviously nobody believed him, but well. A silly parasocial crush is always fun to see.
- Zoro was very moved when Chopper said - "I think Sanji would approve"
