Glasses

Day 5: Glasses

Diana adjusted her glasses as she watched Melissa make her way over to her. She looked over the girls shoulder searching for another familiar face. Diana frowned when she couldn’t find the other part to their trio.

“Where’s Faye?” Diana asked Melissa as they walked to the cafeteria.

“She went home.” Melissa said with a sigh.

“Sick?” Diana asked.

“Not exactly.” Melissa said uneasily.

Diana frowned as she asked, “Did she get in a fight again?”

“You know Faye.” Melissa said with a shrug.

“Yes and this isn’t her. She’s always been intense but not violent.” Diana stated looking worried.

…..

“Faye?” Diana called out as she knocked in the girl’s door.

Diana heard some shifting coming from inside the room before the girl responded, “Come in.”

Diana walked in and saw Faye lying in her bed with a book on her lap. But the sight of the girl actually studying without being told to wasn’t what had surprised her. The girl was reading with a pair of sunglasses on when there clearly was no need for them.

“Hey.” Faye greeted her.

“You haven’t answered my texts.” Diana claimed.

“Mom took my phone away.” Faye grumbled.

Diana nodded in understanding. “So what’s up with the glasses?”

Faye’s hand reached for the mentioned object. “These are my reading glasses.”

Diana crossed her arms in disbelief but a smile graced her lips.

“Faye those are sunglasses.” Diana pointed out. She grabbed the glasses she was currently wearing. “These are reading glasses.” She said as she put them back on.

Proposal

Day 4: Wedding/Proposal

She never felt so far-away from her than now, sitting across from her in their living room. But she had to try.

“Is everything alright?” Faye asked, putting down her magazine, not that she was paying much attention to it anyway.

“Huh?” Diana looked up from her book.

“Is everything alright?” Faye repeated feeling more worried and getting the sense that Diana wasn’t paying much attention to the book in front of her.

“Yeah.” Diana replied calmly and offered a reassuring smile.

Faye smiled back, forgetting everything for a moment. She moved towards the other girl and placed herself on her lap.

Faye wrapped her arms around Diana’s neck and whispered seductively in her ear, “You know it’s been a while since we’ve…” She trailed off and placed a light kiss on her girlfriend’s neck.

“Has it?” Diana choked out and Faye smirked, pleased with the response.

“Yes.” Faye shifted to straddle the girl beneath her.

The Future (1/?)

Day 3: The Circle

Diana sat in between Adam and Cassie, all three silently going through different books and even though Diana flipped the pages slowly, she had a distant look on her face, a look that had been etched on the girl’s face since her return to Chance Harbor. Faye who sat next to Melissa and across from the trio stared at the pensive girl. She had noticed Diana’s change in behavior and though she would not admit it out loud, she was worried.

“This sucks.” Jake said as he slammed a book down on the coffee table, garnering the group’s attention. He picked up another book and leaned back into his armchair.

“Which part exactly?” Faye huffed out, equally annoyed. “The part where those stupid Balcoin children burned down our house or having to spend a weekend with all of you researching how to stop them?”

Jake sent an irritated look her way and droned, “Both.”

“The sooner we finish, the sooner you can both stop fighting like an old married couple.” Diana stated and Faye couldn’t help but notice that Diana sounded jealous but of what, she had no idea.

Faye sent a false smile in Diana’s direction and to which the girl offered a small grin in response.

“Well aren’t you funny.” Faye replied, sarcasm dripping from her voice.

“I try.” Diana shrugged.

This time Faye smiled sincerely, happy to see Diana somewhat back to her old self. They smiled at each other for a moment until Faye averted her eyes. She felt awkward looking at Diana like that. Contraire to popular belief, she did not hate Diana.

She focused on the book in front of her instead and flipped the page. This one actually caught her attention, a time travel spell.

A Reason

Day 2: Leather Jacket

Faye walked Diana to her house. It had been a long night and they both, along with rest of the circle had been through a lot. Faye had been kidnapped and Diana had lost her dad to demons. They walked in silence with Faye sneaking glances at the other girl every so often. Diana had her hands wrapped around her body, trying to shield herself from the cold.

“Here,” Faye said as she took off her jacket. She held it out for Diana who could only stare in shock. It was a known fact that Faye was not good at sharing.

“Are you okay?” Diana questioned.

“Look I’m trying to be nice.” Faye said exasperated. She could count in one hand the times she had been nice to Diana but she was trying.

“But you’re going to be cold.” Diana replied unsure.

“I’m hot.” Faye smirked as she watched Diana’s eyes roam her body. She paused for a seconded and added, “Blooded.”

Diana blushed but tentatively grabbed the jacket. She instantly felt warm as the soft leather hugged her body. It had a distinct smell that she could not quite place but was purely Faye’s essence. The jacket brought this comfort, security that she had not felt for a long time. They walk in silence the rest of the way until they reach Diana’s house.

“I should give this back.” Diana said as was about to remove the jacket.

“No, keep it.” Faye said firmly and Diana stopped.

Diana stared quizzically at the girl, “But this is your favorite jacket.”

“How about, you give it to me when you return.” Faye offered genuinely.

Lonely Without

Day 1: No magic

“You’re back.” Faye smiled at her girlfriend. She got up from her chair and moved to hug her. The two girls embraced in the middle of the abandoned house as the rest of the circle watched fondly.

“Do you know how horrible it was without you? Especially at night when you weren’t there to do that thing-” Diana quickly clamped a hand over Faye’s mouth as a she blushed furiously.

Jake stared with a shit-eating grin as he imagined various scenarios that included both girls. Cassie and Adam both shifted uncomfortably, and Melissa smirked at her best friend’s antics. Diana could feel the tug of Faye’s lip on the Palm of her hand. The look of mischief on the girls hazel eyes told her that she had said that on purpose. The girl had an affinity for teasing her.

“Faye what have I told you about giving out too much information in front of others.” Diana scolded the brunette as she removed her hand.

Faye gave her trademark smirk and whispered, “I missed you.”

“I missed you too.” Diana mumbled shyly.

Faye took the opportunity to do what she longed for and pulled Diana in for a kiss. The kiss lasted a few seconds and both pulled away quickly.

“Faye you know how I feel about-”

“PDA.” Faye finished with a frown. “You feel different?”

“What do you mean?” Diana asked as she looked away nervously.
