the voice startles her out of concentration, finger slipping from the touch screen control for the marionette's music box. fumbling for the flashlight, fritz nearly knocks it off the desk before getting a good grip on it, shining it into the right floor vent.

"b--bonnie! go on, nothing to see here! shoo, shoo!" a few flickers of the light into the animatronic's face ought to do the trick, right? as she turns it on and off, fritz clumsily grabs the old freddy mask and slips it quickly on her face, eyes glancing at the clock.

3:48 am. how the hell did jeremy do this every night?!?!

jeremy. she thinks of him and her heart aches -- alone in the hospital at his brother's side after the incident at the party.

BONNIE FLUTTERS THEIR LASHES AS THEY PEAK OUT THE VENT, craning their head and eyeing the office. Their eyes settle on the misshapen Freddy. “Boo . . . Nothing. Siiigh. Freddy, you look worse for wear!” Robotic ears bounce as Bonnie stands, fingers cupping their chin. They lean close, internal workings scanning “Freddy” for errors. Their scanners don’t recognize Freddy as anything. Bonnie’s limited facial movements form somewhat of a grimace, but it looks more like constipation.

“I can’t tell if you got a botched touch-up from the mechanics or if you missed your touch-up!” Bonnie tutts and shakes their head. “Are you looking for the nightguard or a wrench? You won’t find either here, buddy.”

oh, god. of course. it couldn't have just been easy. clearing her throat, she adjusts the mask more securely on her face before speaking.

"er... missed it, is all. must have slipped through the cracks." attempting a gruff approximation of freddy's voice, fritz feels sweat beading up on the back of her neck as she tries to keep the work flow intact, peering below the mask's obscuring walls at the monitor in her hand.

"um -- i-i think i heard the night guard was hanging around the show stage, maybe you could give it a look? and i can, uh, stay here. and watch for them." fumbling fingers try to wind the music box as she glances back up at the animatronic. please work, please work!
