CHARACTER REFS!!

These are my OCS, John Doe and Vicky Delorne. John's reference is a friend of mine named Byte, while Vicky's reference is made by me.

Meet John Doe.

John is 23, and gives off a bit of the " golden retriever " vibes, he works as a mechanic, fixing up whatever he can.

John is a poly-pansexual and in an open relationship, he's a giver, and a lover, and enjoys talking to others. He enjoys sweets like candies along with baked goods, and speaks very upbeat.

Meet Vicky Delorne

Vicky is 22, and is a bit of the "Goth girl" and "Punk girl" type, she works odd jobs here and there, but she's currently working part-time for Freddy's "Halloween event".. whatever that is.

She is also a Poly-Pansexual in an open relationship, she uses words more than she does actions, because sometimes her actions get her in trouble or cause misunderstandings. However she likes soft things, like plushies, she has a sweet spot for anything cute, Vicky speaks very specifically, often typing in complete sentences and overexplaining.

Hope you enjoy my first two Assets! They are my first two intros to Outcasts at Freddy's! Aside from the face of it all, being Jake Wilson!

" Yeah, figured I'd stop in earlier, after all, I'd rather be here early, then be here late, you know? I won't take Matt until Bossman gives the ok though, I'll probably sit behind the prize counter with Matt and keep quiet most of the time. "

He laughs, waving him off for a moment, he looks a little sheepish hearing about the springlock suits, his hand coming up to rub at his neck for a moment.

" I hope so as well, I've heard my fair share of horror stories about those suits, you're braver then i am, that's for sure."

He murmured, leaning against the wall for the moment, his voice coming out more gentle then he'd like to admit

" How are you holding up? you're taking care of yourself, right? eating at least? "

it's the same song and dance he does with Matt, he's a good guy, he just wants to make sure everyone's being cared for.

" The new guy doesn't like you? That.. well to each their own i guess, kinda hard not to enjoy your company when we share interests, but thats just me, you know?"

There's a small chuckle that leaves him, before he stretches, giving him a small wave.

" I should let Matt know I'm here, I'll be at the prize counter with him if you wanna talk! You know I like slipping new animatronic info and whatnot. One robotics nerd to another. "

He joked, giving him a quick pat, he looks rather excited to surprise Matt at work, though he'll make sure not to get in the way. He doesn't want to mess up their flow.

Wrong Oddie Fictive Anon lol, tis was I ALL ALONG (ironically though, Emma is a different person who ALSO has an Oddie Fictive)

To tell the difference, I'm pretty sure I'm the one who has the "bow emoji" because the boy symbolizes another fictive (Orion, a Twisted Glisten Fictive)

LOL yeah we are active, though we HAVE been inactive for almost a year. We are kinda trying to make a comeback.

But Tumblr has changed and we are still learning, however we may make our account an "Ask [Blank] and Co." Blog. That way our headmates(Emma included) have a place to talk and answer questions for curious people!

It's funny because we /were/ talking to rose about this or at least Emma was.

We love Oddie, but Emma herself has grown and understands the difference between /her/ and the character, and while we love oddie to death, we know Rose wants to progress in her storyline, and she cant really do that if people are hugging and "im gonna protect the baby!!!"'ing at Oddie..

Someones gotta be mean, why not the OD Fictives.. LOL

I think to better distinguish each other, Emma will most likely use 🔧💚 together, since she loves tinkering with animatronics(the wrench) and the color green for her scrunchie! (Her hair is always in a middle ponytail)

That or just title her anon posts -Emma Or -Em.

This is the BEST hot take I have EVER seen.

I would explain deeper onto the concept of trauma that MOST readers don't understand, but I'd end up using some not-so-nice words because that's just my nature, so I'll let our Oddie fictive explain what I want to say on the system blog.... Since he's already over here in front because he usually is on "dream duty' or at least "night watch" as it's a habit of his in the headspace, he didn't expect us (the body) to abruptly wake up at 4 am lol 😅

okay so... what Clover (the host, and blog above me) wanted to say basically is um...

that @fazbenderspizza makes a... really good point there.

she said that the following comparison that is going to be said may sound um... "shitty", but, essentially keeping "me" (or- um, by far, "source me") away from the fear of being hated is uh, kinda like keeping Shadow the Hedgehog away from the fear of humans...

I mean... Maria died for a reason in the Sonic franchise, didn't she...?

if she didn't die, Shadow wouldn't have that trauma of her death, and therefore wouldn't have a reason to hate humans or act the way he does.

what um... Clover believes in, is the idea that trauma creates good writing for characters like me, i- i think? because it gives us something called "flaws"

i believe that if @an-artist-place-for-extra-art well, didn't give source-me the trauma that he carries, he wouldn't have the flaws he currently has.

i-it's like taking away the trauma Sportsy (i've um.. gained this new habit of calling him that because of uh.. the other me... i- i think im what you would call a subsystem?) from that same source of ours.

b- but if he basically didn't get the trauma that two certain characters gave him, i- i guess my source wouldn't exist in the first place.

a- adding another "shitty" take to further explain this !!

f-flaws are what makes a character be who they are a- and not what... what did you guys call it- a.. a "Mary Sue"...?

for example! our- or rather, Clover's William from the FNaF AU that she owns was um, raised by cultists.

i- if we were to take that away from him, he wouldn't be so desensitized to murder and all, and we basically wouldn't have a story to um... tell.

source me wouldn't have the fear of being hated if we took away the fact of how his "father" treated him, and would make his character be... um, "boring"?

Sportsy wouldn't be so defensive and closed out if he didn't die, or if source me and Henry basically didn't k- kill his siblings or- by far him, in a way, b- but at the cost of the universe literally not existing because the story didn't happen.

a- and our AU's William wouldn't be so cruel if he wasn't basically raised by cultists, but the price to pay for that is Fazbear Entertainment ceasing to exist because h- he wouldn't be so cold or desensitized without that flaw caused by trauma!

and also because he named Fazbear Entertainment after the cult he was raised by...

i- i think this is the best way i could explain it..

I really love how you explained this. This is definitely a way I myself would explain it.

A lot of people(not all) sometimes think that we the Fictives are formed to attach ourselves to our source and due to this, we have unhealthy attachments to them.

While this can be true, it's very unhealthy at times. due to this, we often try and distance ourselves to our source, because we realize we are our own people with out own memories.

for instance, i am a Pest fictive, you can call me Pest or Pestie (She/He), My memories come from regretevator, but are not completely regretevator based. due to this i've stopped trying to mold myself into being "Pest" and just being myself. yes there is a charm in seeing my ingame roblox model and seeing the lore of my character. but in the end, it will always be that, a character.

its a bit complicated for others however, sometimes source is all they can hold onto in that moment, it becomes a safety net for them. but that's not always the case.

Its okay to love a character and their source, but if you're shielding them from the hurt they need, it doesn't really help them, and in the end, stunts them. that's why sometimes you need to be mean to a character, to judge them.

people may appose you, but that's because they don't really understand why you're doing it, in they're eyes, they see someone sweet and innocent that needs to be cared for.

but in others, they know the difference. Oddie is well loved, but if you give Oddie nothing but love, it will do nothing but make it harder for them to florish.
