LONG HEADCANON POST!!!!!

HEAD CANON POST!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bayonetta 3 spoilers like immediately below lol

I'm giving them Titles, Contracted Demons (who i may draw one day idk), lore, etc if i feel like it.

This is Viola's mom / The Indomitable Witch

Contracted demon: The Lost Outcast, Cheshire.

Lore tidbits for her: Her story is basically the same as Cereza's in the lost demon, however her story splits almost immediately after being granted permission from the Umbra to contract her first demon; instead of Madama Butterfly, she contacted Cheshire. She was never sealed in the lake by Jeanne and because of this, Luka doesn't think that Cereza killed his father and doesn't chase after her to try and get revenge; instead he follows her since she's the only remaining witch he knows about and is more of a historian rather than a journalist. Much healthier dynamic for them to fall in love than in canon cause. yeah.

Also i just made a post on why i feel like she'd be a better design for beta 0 so. idk if you got a problem with this argue with the wall or whatever lol

NEXT WITCH!!!

This is a Cereza who was under the care of Balder. They were both exiled to a far off land but that didn't stop this Cereza from learning the dark arts. Maybe she learned a region specific form of the Umbran Arts or taught herself Umbran magic with the help of her father's descriptions of her mother's techniques. Title: The Glittering Witch

Contracted Demon: The Conductor of Chaos, Amdusias.

Infernal Demon: "Amdusias is a famed demon of Inferno, often seen working alongside the other musically talented inhabitants of the inner circles of Inferno, being the member of countless royal courts throughout Inferno's long history. Amdusias has seen kingdoms come and go, yet remains unscathed. He is currently within the court of Baal Zebul and plays at her command. He's known to stroll through Inferno and use the souls of the damned as inspiration for his distinct signature sound; music that inflicts the listener with nothing but pure unfiltered torture."

Amdusias is a large skeletal bipedal Unicorn who sits upon a glittering golden throne which itself is situated atop a even bigger elaborate Unicycle, with a custom made spokes design that features his demonic sigil. Amdusias carries around a long thin intricately designed flute that not only acts as a conductor's wand, but also as a long cigarette holder. but wait! there's more! His wand is also his horn itself! (he can detach it). Idk i picture him sitting in a sassy manner. Like the vibe is: You go past some beaded curtains and see him sprawled out on the couch and goes like "Oh Honey, it's been oh so long! Where have you been? I've been DYING to tell you about this place i visited lately!". He also has humanoid hands adorned with large decorated talons. He doesn't have pupils, just bright glowing red sclera.

Some lore tidbits i had for her: Idk her being raised by Balder, who runs an entire conglomerate(?) and cult, she probably has some training in business management and leading. Assuming that Balder does that in her universe. I made Amdusias her contract demon since idk music = heavenly to me and since this is a Cereza whose more in tune with her Lumen heritage than the typical Cereza, it makes sense to me. She's also called The Glittering Witch because i hc that her weapons, jewelry, and hair are far more glittery than other variants. Also i keep picturing her as Italian and idek why.

Title: The Witch with a Guiding Light

Contracted Demon: The S.S. DAMNATION, Charon.

Infernal Demon: "The S.S. DAMNATION is a gigantic cruise ship that sails the ever bloody waters of Inferno and is captained by the mysterious demon known as Charon. The cruise ship is considered a oasis within the sea of eternal suffering and is maintained by the aforementioned Captain and his skeletal Crew. The ship itself hosts parties, balls, feasts, spas, water parks, fairs, and more. However, recently it has been declining in guests due to many souls not being buried with a coin in their mouth; which is the only way one can board this esteemed ship. Nowadays, it's mostly visited by the lustrous Madama Styx and her personal court."

Honestly one of my favorite demon ocs purely because it was directly inspired by the cruise ship at the start of bayonetta 3 + i had a animatic idea of Madama Styx singing "The whole being dead thing" to newly departed souls who wounded up in Inferno and she sat upon a demonic cruise ship as if it were a throne. All while plummeting down a bloodfall accompanied by soaring scolopendras. Anyway, Charon is the cruise ship and since it's GINORMOUS, if it were to be a demon slave, i imagine it'd just summon a big life boat piloted by Charon's skeleton crew and beat up enemies by wacking them with oars.

Some lore tidbits: Since this Cereza wields a lantern, i thought it'd be fitting to make her more of a psychopomp and pair her with Charon (who i've had for a bit but never mentioned). I hc that she's much more of the quiet somber type who kills angels due to her pact with Charon requiring her to provide them with guests. I feel like she'd be a Cereza who, after being freed from the Lake, was found by Rodin and since she didn't have any memories decided to work at The Gates of Hell as a hostess or something; because she's contracted with Charon, she's a big business woman. I'm sure she met and defeated balder due to him cancelling a business deal with her- which pissed her off and she set out to meet him face to face. Then she regained her memories and reconnected with Jeanne.

Title: The Witch with Two Meanings

Contracted Demon: Fancier of Tumors, Naberius

Infernal Demon: "Born out of the creativity of Chaos and the evolutionary pressure of Inferno, Naberius is a gigantic insect demon resembling 16ft tall chromatic guillotine with a undying desire for souls of those it deems ripe for a beheading. Naberius is one of the more peculiar Infernal Demons due to it being both a functional guillotine and a type of demonic insect who can fold it's limbs into the frame of the guillotine. When unfolded, the demon resembles an shiny reflective mantis. Naberius are considered pests within the realm of pain, constantly traveling in swarms and feasting upon those inflicted with a sort of illness or ailment, curing those they come across. They are especially despised by Alraune due to them curing their "eternal lovers" from their paralyzing poison."

I've also had Naberius as a demon oc for a while but before hand it was more akin to the Umbran Clock tower and just being a sentient guillotine that could open up and blast enemies with firearms and whatnot but i wanted it to be a pest of inferno so... made it a bug >:)

some lore tidbits: The Witch with Two Meanings is called that because she's not only a medical practitioner but also a magical practitioner :3 Also due to her resembling a nurse, i decided to make Naberius more of a (accidentally) helpful demon that assists Nurseonetta in her medical adventures. I hc that this Cereza's Rosa died from an illness within her cell and decided to become a nurse or doctor so she can save people. That or she needed a supply to meet Naberius's demands and decided to enter the medical field because of that. Tbh i hadn't really thought of her before this post but she's either really kind hearted or really indifferent to those around her and only needs the ill to satiate Naberius from dragging her to hell. I wanna go with the former personality and pair her up with her Jeanne, whose still a spy and they work together to uncover mysterious illnesses around the world and whose behind it. I imagine this Cereza and Balder had to fight because he profited off of the ill to further his plans of resurrecting Jubileus. Honestly she has the most potential to be the revolutionary bayo due to her being a vigilante healer who outs big companies for their greed at the behest of the sick and poor. Her Viola would love her (i hc most Violas are punk/anti-establishment).

Light spoilers for bayonetta 3 i guess? It features characters who show up for a split second so if you count that as spoilers then don't read lol.

I'm giving them Titles, Contracted Demons (who i may draw one day idk), lore, etc if i feel like it.

Her story is essentially the same as Brave Cereza's but:

After failing to exterminate the Umbra, the heavens decided to flood the earth in an attempt to seize the eyes of the world from the two human clans. However, after the God of Chaos erased the eyes from existence all across Chaos, the angels pivoted to seize control of this world to transform it into a heavenly oasis within the foreign realm. However their plans of setting up a shop within Chaos are foiled time and time again by the two last remaining Umbra and a excommunicated Lumen; Cereza, Jeanne, and Balder.

Title: The Witch without a Ship

Contracted Demon: Apostate of Pity, Nephele.

Infernal Demon: "Once a member of Paradiso that fell from grace after her attempt to stop the forces of heaven from seizing control of the world, Nephele is a fallen angel who has sided with world of Chaos in it's desire to remain independent from the will of Heaven. Nephele is a gaseous shapeshifting demoness who often takes the form of a stunning goddess to hide her now tattered angelic form. Due to just recently falling from Heaven, Nephele doesn't have her own variant across the multiverse and hasn't seen the horrors of Inferno and remains solely within the confines of Purgatorio."

lore tidbits: this Cereza's Avalon was a swamp and the Faeries were Mermaids :3

I don't really have much for this Cereza since i don't tend to really gaf about pirate characters.

I do think Nephele hates singularity for his cloud motif, seeing it as infringement on her dominion over clouds.

Also holy water is extremely corrosive when exposed to it for long periods of time. It dissolves solids, liquids, and gases; meaning there's no oxygen or life within this Cereza's ocean. Anything below the surface of the water is gone. Like the islands within this world are floating thanks to the help of the umbra who casted a spell or something.

my favorite one honestly because i remember ages ago i had this idea where they were a part of a Umbra faction that travelled the world in a Caravan and her Avalon story is mixed in with the story of Swan Lake, having to free Lukaon from being trapped in the form of a swan. Also it was snowy. Like this Cereza is associated with snow and soviet animations to me idk why.

Title: The Witch whose Light as a Feather

Contracted Demon: Heralds of Disorientation, Malebranche.

Infernal Demon: "Ages ago, Malebranche was a council of demons that danced with glee over the bodies of sinners, with each step forcing the screaming souls back underneath the surface of the boiling blood. After being challenged by and losing to their rival clan, the leaders of Bolgia were forcibly melted into one body and were tasked with governing the eighth circle of hell. Enraged at losing their precious rivers and forced to govern the endless sprawling caverns of the eighth circle, Malebranche viciously stomps on any life form smaller than it in an attempt to feel the glee it had when it was once free."

Malebranche is gigantic Jacana Bird demon crossed with a Chimera. It has four main heads; a Jacana bird, a lion, a goat, and a serpent, with the Jacana being the one in control of the body. The demon itself is made up of 12 demons, but the other 8 demons are weaker and melted into the wings of Malebranche. It has (at minimum) 24 legs.

Lore tidbits: During this Cereza's Avalon Story, she accidentally summoned the soul of one of the leaders of Bolgia into her stuffed toy. After feeling freedom for the first time in millenia, Malebranche gleefully offered to make a contract with this Cereza when she was allowed to. Sometimes The Witch whose as Light as a Feather summoned Malebranche from hell just so it can see something other than the walls and ceilings of the Malebolge caverns.

Okay now to talk about the witch whose the reason i even started doing these posts in the first place lol. I had a demon oc who was literally perfect for her lol.

Title: The Witch of the Web

Contracted Demon: Progenitor of Paranoia, Egregore.

Infernal Demon: "Having access to every realm within existence has caused this being to be considered a demon even to the inhabitants of Inferno. Egregore is a mystery to both the forces of Heaven, Chaos, and Hell with it seemingly born from nothing. It traverses the realms as it pleases with disregard for any boundaries or rules and invades the dreams of all in existence to witness their ambitions and desires. Inferno doesn't claim this being as one of their own and Heaven doesn't either. It's a wandering entity whose only mark on the world is that it causes all who know of it to become Paranoid to the point of death; angels, humans, and demon alike."

Egregore doesn't have a form, instead preferring to possess nearby electronic to display various senses belonging to angels and demons; the eyes, ears, mouth, and hands of a demon to display a body on a screen that it can then use to exist the pixel realm into Purgatorio or Chaos. The form of Egregore changes each time with each summon. It were made into a demon slave, it's body would resemble a random demon or angel but is made entirely of static with it's facial features being made up of darker static.

Lore tidbits: The idea of Egregore came from me watching Serial Experiments Lain lol.

Egregore is a True Neutral entity that existed long before Heaven or Hell, being birthed from the first beings in existence. Which may not even be the case since it could also be a powerful shapeshifting demon who took the idea of a Egregore in name and concept. No one from Heaven or Hell likes Egregore. Like not even the outcasts like Egregore. Egregore likes to invade dreams and turn invisible to watch people. Angels and demons can feel being watched so they know Egregore is there. Which makes them uneasy. Like. Egregore just stands there. staring. silently. No one knows it's true personality (if it even has one).

The only one that does have an idea of who Egregore truly is The Witch of the Web, whose seen how creatively twisted and violent Egregore can be to it's enemies. She's come to the conclusion that since she's a descendant of both Light and Dark, Egregore likes to watch her. Like a weird kinship sorta deal; being neither strictly light or dark.

This Cereza's story is set in the future, where the rule of the clans is quite loose. Rosa and Balder were never really punished to the extent they would've been in the past, which led to Cereza learning both Lumen and Umbran magic. This only further fueled Egregore's interest in the witch. However the Lumen-Umbra war still occured and Cereza was sealed beneath a lake for 500 years. She awoke in the FAR-DISTANT future where her lake was transformed into a dam to power the nearby power plant.

She's honestly my favorite 2d variant purely because of her aesthetic and i wonder what her world could really be like. Like i imagine her Ithavoll group is responsible for building Iterator like super structures across europe with the entire nation of Vigrid being a Rainworld Iterator-esque cyber cube with Isla Del Sol being a flying city. Honestly if that was her world i think i'd scream so loud i'd die cause GOD I'D EAT THAT UP!!!!! I love you Cybernetta <3 <3 <3

NEXT (and final) WITCH!!!

before her birth, her Rosa was forced into giving up her first-born (and only) daughter to the Goblins of this world's Avalon forest. She grew up within the Goblin Forest, being trained in the ways of the dark arts by the Queen of the Goblins (aka this world's Morgana). Balder attempted to rescue Cereza from the goblins, however he started the Umbra-Lumen war AGAIN with it eventually leading to the mutual destruction of both clans + the forest goblins.

Cereza, not knowing Balder was her birth father, ordered Jeanne seal her beneath the Citadel of Darkness (home of the umbra) to keep her out of the Sage's hands. Jeanne agreed and Cereza would be sealed for 500 years.

Title: The Witch Gongju of Goblins

Contracted Demon: The Citadel of the Dark, Seonangsin.

Infernal Demon: "Born from the Princess of the Umbra's attempt at resurrecting her fallen clan, Seonangsin is an amalgamation of countless witches whose souls now possess a ruined Korean citadel tasked with protecting the Princess of the Goblins for 500 years. Due to being a collection of century old souls who have studied in the ways of the dark arts, it's well experienced in the ways of dealing with friend and foe alike and has a grandmotherly personality with those it has a pact with. Those who make an enemy of Seonangsin are swiftly discarded of due to the demon essentially being a entire city of extremely powerful witches who have access to teleportation due to it's supernatural ability of being able to summon large pristine ruby doors anywhere it so pleases."

Seonangsin physical appearance is (unsurprisingly) that of a korean castle/citadel. If i had to explain it's powers, it'd just be a sentient Infinity Castle from Demon Slayer like. It can grab Cereza from anywhere by opening sliding doors beneath her feet and can shoot out demons from Inferno by doing the exact same thing. After Cereza awoke, she was forced to make a contract with it after the countless souls within it berated her the moment she woke up. After which, it went into Inferno and caused panic in the nearby town because a whole citadel just vanished during the night. The goblin princess frequently sleeps within the Citadel and the souls of the witches often make her food, keep her safe, and train her in ways of the dark arts since she never had the chance to properly become a full-fledged witch 500 years ago. The Witches of Seonangsin can possess humanoid machines called "Munsin" to serve Cereza and are summoned by opening a door with an Enochian command.

lore tidbits: Seonangsin became an urban legend in the nearby town due to it being a place that made anyone who attempted to get close to it go missing.

Jeanne in this world is much more depressed due to her losing her entire clan and trapping their souls within a citadel due to her failing to do the ritual properly. She kinda went mad from grief.

After this world's events of the first game, Jeanne (alongside Seonangsin) finished training Cereza in ways of the dark arts and how they go around the world trying to rebuild the umbran clan. This eventually led them to Noatun, adopt their world's Loki, and they live happily ever after since the eyes of the world were erased from chaos by the time they found Loki lol.

My version of Bayonetta 4🌙

Here are some concept sketches of my first new character for the story. ^^

I’ll be uploading more in the future story and concept wise, this is simply a rough first draft so expect mistakes/changes etc.

Uma

One of many artificially made Umbran Witches, this one created from the stolen Dna of Jeanne and Bayonetta.

The masterminds behind these abominations as Jeanne now refers to them, are two mysterious Lumen Sages.

Bayonetta and Jeanne were ambushed by them a few months prior to the events of Bayonetta 3

Thinking of them as nothing more than Witch hunt fanatics, they dispatched of them quickly, or so they presumed…

Now that a few years have past after being stuck in Inferno, having just been rescued by Viola, left the two Witches a little rusty to say the least.

Much has changed in their absence and they are about to come face to face with these changes soon-

To test out their experiments, the two Sages send their Witches on their first mission.

Exterminate the Impure woman and her kin and capture the heir to the Umbra, Jeanne. For their plans to succeed, they need her alive-

I really love these alternate Bayonetta designs as concepts for BayoJeanne daughters.

They’re not perfect combinations of Bayonetta and Jeanne, but I think they’re pretty darn nice.

And of course, keeping with tradition, one of their kids would have to look exactly like Bayonetta (but with Jeanne’s sense of style), which is where design 2 comes in.

Overall though, I’m also just a huge fan of these two designs.

There’s also a Jeanne design that might work well. However, I am not a fan of the depressed clown look it has going on. It lacks the sort of flirtatious jubilance that I think a kid of theirs would have. Like for instance, even Jeanne, who is subdued in comparison to Bayonetta, still has a strong touch of flirtation and a combination of serious/teasing to her movement and character.

This design just seems very serious, and the 18th century painted face doesn’t meld so well with that color scheme. But I still think the concept itself could be a good base for a BayoJeanne kid.
