This ban is not protecting children. It’s not helping. Also there’s nothing wrong with porn. The vast majority of porn on this site was consensual. This ban is hurting mostly good people. Unless you’re some sort of weird puritanical fanatic how can you not see that?

How is it not protecting children if the people making child pornography stop having an outlet to solicit the porn. They obviously will reduce their popularity making their work more difficult. And also there is A LOT wrong with porn. The psychological effects of frequent porn use are frightening and have been documented through experiments done by some of the most influential psychologists today. I don’t argue unless you have facts, and I already know them. Thank you next

do... do you know what the tumblr update is doing to independent artists and creators in general? you SHOULDNT be happy with their decision because their faulty algorithm is flagging posts that are sfw and dont break the TOS at all. this isnt hate, just informing you. so many people are leaving this site that creators cant make the same $ they could before even if they arent flagged. it's negatively affecting a lot of people's lives :/

The people getting their posts flagged that do follow the TOS and are SFW are not the majority and is not the intent of the porn ban, that is completely irrelevant. This is about removing porn, especially child pornography off of tumblr. This is not about whether or not your posts will get flagged or not. Some of my posts have also gotten flagged. Unfortunate as it is but this has been a long time coming and is for the greater good of tumblr. I’m assuming you have not witnessed it first hand, or you are a supporter of the repulsive, disgusting, and revolting pornography on this website.

If you can only think about how some of your posts may not be able to make money rather than save the exploitation of innocent children's lives, then I pity you.
