“Christmas has always been such a lovely time of year.” She spoke evenly, hiding her distress. Being in purgatory for seven years had changed her but she didn’t accept that. No. Absolutely not. She was still the same Caitlin she was when she died. Though maybe it was just karma for every cruel thing her family had done over the years, truth be told, she had always been terrified of her family.

“Huh?” It was not until Caitlin spun around that she realized what the other had said. Truth be told, the hunter turned skinwalker hadn’t felt right since returning to the world of the living. Running for her life for the past seven years caused the young woman to forget all about social graces. “I’d love to, though I can’t promise not to trip over your feet.”
