F2F: Always Late When It Matters
Mackenzie released a deep, overly dramatic sigh as Jaye spoke, she had a habit of belittling people when she didn’t get her way, and unfortunately, Jaye was often her prime target. She hated how cruel she could be to him sometimes, why did he tolerate her at all? However, when she was in the moment, rage took over and she failed to take into account her boyfriend’s feelings, or the consequences. “If you said it, I’d know you weren’t making a joke,” Mackenzie was paranoid. It was as simple as that. At times rumours and jealousy ate away at her, she suspected Jaye of anything and everything, and sometimes she didn’t care in the slightest. All or nothing. She crossed her eyes defiantly, refusing to break eye contact with Jaye, refusing to back down.Â
"I’m not the sensitive one,” she retorted, if Jaye said black, she’d say white at this point, anything to disagree with him. “Well, if you don’t think that then I don’t see why you’re getting so pissed,” Mackenzie, of course, did understand, although she wasn’t about to admit to it. Mackenzie and Jaye’s relationship could almost be described as a game of cat and mouse. “You could’ve fooled me,” Mack scoffed, downing her drink. “What did you come here for?” She asked, raising her eyebrows, she edged closer to him, but only slightly. “Did you forget something the last time you were here?” Mackenzie looked at Jaye intently, she wanted their dispute to be resolved, but not at the expense of her losing the argument.
Jaye rolled his eyes at her words, shaking his head. He hated how she always brought that back around. It could be an argument as to why he had chosen Chinese over Mexican take-out for dinner and Mack was throwing jabs about him cheating into the conversation. It was often the source of all their problems. Sure, Jaye had cheated, but Mackenzie wasn't exactly an angel, by any means. “Oh yes, because I will just fuck anything that moves, right?” He groaned, hitting the counter with his fist. Had he seriously dragged his sleepy ass out of bed just to fight with the girl? For this he could have stayed at home and had her yell at him over the phone. He glared at her, his green eyes alight with fire.Â
“You're the girl! Of course you're the sensitive one! For fuck's sake, Mack!” Jaye knew at this point the argument was going nowhere and both of them were getting heated over virtually nothing. But he couldn't stop himself. He was never one to bow down and now wasn't any different. It didn't matter how many times the cycle repeated, the pair always did the exact same things that led to their eventual breaking up and getting back together. He sighed loudly, running a hand over his face. He'd have gray hair at this point,if not for him dying it all the time. “Don't be like that. We made fucking plans, so I showed up late, like an asshole and you're pissed off because I'm late and I'm pissed off because I showed up anyways and you're still bitching.” He looked at her and raised an eyebrow. He was ready to end this stupid bullshit argument, even if it meant he had to take a loss on this one. He'd get her back later for it.
