"Wolvie is straight so-" IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT WOLVIE IS. People are upset bcuz they're 1). Sick of the whole Wolvie x Jean thing and 2). Wolvie has previously shown to care a lot about Morph and go back for them, so him killing Morph and only stopping when he saw Jean's face felt like a retcon.
Also, the sexuality doesn't matter in these conversations. Bi, pan, omni, whatever. People just want him to get over Jean
Like, I actually was kinda fine with it being "no matter how much he cares about Morph, Jean will always be number one", until people pointed out the fact at how that kind of ignores their friendship previously and how Wolvie totally was willing to risk himself to save Morph and the whole "X-Men don't cut and run" line that made me go "Wait a damn minute-"
Also, we still haven't been given a reason on why Wolvie is so obsessed with Jean in these shows. I need SOMETHING here. It was interesting at first (when I first realized it in TAS) but after way too long of nothing fucking happening and there absolutely being no universe where anything WILL happen (except Jean kissing Wolvie last season which pissed me off so much-), it's just getting tiring.
You know what would be fun? Morph telling Wolvie all this in a moment of anger. Voicing the fandom's thoughts for us <3
ok ive been trying to figure out how to word my thoughts on x men 97 ep 5. i think most of my thoughts just boil down on it being kind of rushed. like, i totally think this could have worked if there was a bit more development between morph and logan in earlier eps. they could have showed how badly the loss/trama of the adamantium was affecting logan and what it was doing to his relationships. he seems to only view himself as a weapon, and a big part of that has just been taken away. he kind of needs that for his own self perception and understanding of who he is. maybe he was pushing people, including morph, away because of that. maybe morph saw the growing distance and jumped on the chance to go on a mission with him. maybe theyd fought in the future and morph wanted to make it up to him. i just feel like there was something missing between what the show had shown about them before and what happened in that ep
I keep thinking this! very frustrating
fuck!
‘how would other people describe you’ why would i know this
it’s crazy to me how ice water is a uniquely american phenomenon. it’s the greatest drink in the entire world. how have other countries not hopped on board? genuinely don’t understand how sparkling water is ubiquitous in a way that simple ice water isn’t. whenever i ask for ice water outside the u.s., they put 2 ice cubes in a glass, and i’m always too ashamed of being american to ask for more. but it’s our single healthy habit! luckily i am always prepared (half gallon insulated water bottle that i fill with ice myself and then fill with water and always carry around with me) but it really is baffling every time i travel.
I'm gonna get so much mileage out of this one

i desperately want marvel to remember that john howlett junior exists, bring him back to life, and just have him hang around as an established character going foward. next time marvel wants to do a big wolverine story that introduces something new to his character and/or wants to introduce a new slate of young mutants... john howlett jr is right there. have logan suddenly become the big brother to his own big brother.

i do think it's funny... and not funny haha, funny weird, except for being so absurd that you almost can't help but laugh... how some kidnap fam enjoyers essentially depict elrond (+ elros) as having been stripped of his culture and turned against his people by his kidnappers and yet present this as... a good thing?
like hey... the hypothetical of elrond rejecting sindarin culture after being raised by sindar slaughters number one and number two actually has some crazy implications and they aren't happy ones.
not to say that this idea hasn't been deliberately and thoughtfully explored by tumblr users and/or fic writers. i've read and enjoyed some posts and fics on this subject myself. but these types of posts/fics are comparatively rare? uncritically presented "feanorian elrond" who has little to no connection to his sindarin side and doesn't care to have any connection to it is, strangely, fairly common.
a party of adventurers that are all equally convinced that they are in completely different forms of media
the mage keeps giving smug glances in the direction they assume a camera is in. the fighter keeps getting indignant about missing attacks because of "bad dice rolls." the rogue is doubtful that a villain is gone for good because "nobody ever stays dead in comics." the paladin attributes fortune to "good rng." none of them have even considered that "tumblr post" was an option
