We stayed around European.
plstonkin:
That’s how it always goes with vacations and the like. They go fast, then when you get back to work time drones on. Not that that’s a bad thing, but vacations are pretty great too.
Time really does drone on when you’re working. Or when you’re excited for something.
plshoran:
Ah, if only it worked out that way. Where’d you go for your honeymoon?
It would make life easier if it did work out like that. We stayed on a boat for a few days on some European Ocean.

”That’s a hard one, I’ll have to go really deep into character to nail it,” Sophie teasingly replied around a smirk. The jokes helped her to relax into the shoot, which always required a bit of work on her part despite her having grown up in front of a camera. “They would call me the real life black widow, loving but lethal. This whole shoot would turn into the pictures for an article on my descent into hunger-induced madness,” she hummed, before leaning in to steal a kiss. “But I think I like you a little too much to eat you, so thanks for looking out babe.”
She held his hand under the table throughout the introductions, having found that she couldn’t help but be in constant contact with him. And then it was on to speeches, the part she was both looking forward to and dreading. There were so many people in the room who could tell incredibly embarrassing stories about her, and they didn’t disappoint, her brother being the first to launch into a story about her first crush. He tied it back to Joe by pointing out that he was everything she’d ever wanted, and more, but that didn’t stop the blush from finding its way to her cheeks.
“I think you’ll be able to do it. You’re an amazing actress after all,” he murmured softly, pressing a kiss to her lips. he could hear the snap as they kissed. “You would be. Killing your husband after like a month of marriage. At least they’ll have proof you did at your trial,” he laughed. he pulled her closer to him. Something he did when they were normally in private. He always had to have her body close to his own. “Well, I’m pleased that you aren’t going to eat me, baby.”
Joe let his thumb run over his wife’s fingers softly. Squeezing it every once in a while as they did the introductions. As their name got called, everyone did the cliche, clinging their spoon against a glass, telling Joe to kiss his bride. Leaning over, he kissed her once again before they went on with the speeches. He laughed at her brother’s speech. It wasn’t long until his own brother took the center, Nick. He talked about Joe, how caring he was, how he never knew what love was until he met Sophie. How Sophie had truly changed his brother’s life around for the better. Nick quickly giving cheers to the newlyweds.
I feel like vacations just fly past. The honeymoon got over quick, this Barcelona is trip in a few days. I wish time would just slow down so you can enjoy it more.

“Can’t keep the masses waiting,” Sophie hummed in agreement, the arm draped across his shoulders allowing her to gently scratch at the back of his neck. She’d grown used to his longer hair, but this one nicely suited the occasion. It wasn’t hard to flag down one of their photographers and then it was back outside to the Château’s gardens. The first shot had them staring at each other under the instruction of ‘staring longingly into each other’s eyes’.
“Do you think this is longing enough?” she jokingly whispered, arms around his neck at just the right angle for the image. “I just realized I’ve only had tea today and my brain’s at the point of imagining you as a steak.” Even though it was a professional shoot meant for a professional magazine, she was glad that they were able to not take it so seriously. It was their wedding day and, even though it wasn’t as spontaneous as the last, because it was theirs she refused to allow it to become a rigid affair. “Do you think everyone will still want to play that flag rugby game in this heat?”
Joe shook his head at her question. “It’s not longing enough. You can do better, you’re an actress. Pretend you actually love me,” he teased. A smile formed across his features as his arm wrapped around her and his hand rested on the small of her back, the other one rested on her waist. “Well, after this we should probably get some food in your stomach before you become a widow on your wedding day by eating me,” he told her. He always loved that they could always throw jokes to one another one without hurting the other person.
They took a few more solo pictures before they dragged out the rest of the family and bridal party to take pictures with the couple. Once they were done taking the wedding pictures, they were escorted back into the building and to the reception area. One of the performers, introducing the Bridal party one by one and leading up to Joe and Sophie.

Upon spotting Maisie out of their bridal party crowd, the two almost knocked each other over, the shorter girl quickly moving on to hug Joe before admiring Sophie’s latest ring. Seeing the parents approaching, her maid of honor promised to find her later and then disappeared back into the fray. Sophie readily welcomed her mother-in-law’s hug, her friendliness throughout the past few years having only confirmed that this was the right family for her. While on paper she only marrying Joe, in reality, she was bound to the family as well and she couldn’t think of a better group to be bound to. “Took him long enough,” Sophie teasingly commented, sending her husband a playful smirk. “But truly, thank you so much for being this welcoming. I love your family as much as I love your son and I’m over the moon to part of it.”
Her father had made a joke once about her infiltrating the well-known family and, no sooner had she remembered that, her father was right there embracing her. “Good work, kiddo,” he said, stepping back to switch places with his wife, who had been hugging Joe in the meantime. She noted the tinged redness in his eyes as he gave Joe a friendly handshake and pat on the back. “You too, young man. We’re very proud of both of you.” Sally nodded her agreement, pulling back after hugging Sophie, “You both looked beautiful up there and even better up close.” She adored her parents, even more so as of late upon seeing how much they adored Joe. Being their only daughter, naturally, they were very protective of the blonde and the way they had readily accepted Joe assured her that they weren’t pretending to like him for her sake. ”Now I’m not saying we expect frequent visits from you two, but we’ll be keeping a room ready.” The comment earned an amused laugh from Sophie and Andrew, both of them knowing that the woman was far from joking.
Joe grinned as he shook his father-in-law’s hand. When he had first met Sophie’s parent, he was terrified that they wouldn’t like him. He was dating their only daughter. But it didn’t take long for Joe to feel like part of the family after he met them the first time. And when it came to asking them to marry Sophie a few months after meeting them, it was easy. He laughed at Sally’s joke, “we will so our best to come up.” He told her.
It wasn’t long before everyone in attendance came and congratulate the two before making their way into the reception area. Joe leaned over, pressing soft loving kiss to his bride’s lips. “Guess we should get the pictures done,” He murmured softly. Knowing Vogue wanted the pictures done as soon as possible.

“I love you,” Sophie mouthed in return, gingerly squeezing his hands. It was all she could do to keep from bawling, the feeling of pure, unadulterated love radiating across her body. If it was possible, she swore she could feel it in her bones. And then she was being proclaimed Mrs. Jonas and leaning into his kiss. She’d thought that people were kidding when they said that their kiss at the alter felt different from others, in fact, she figured that she had single-handedly debunked the phenomena in Vegas. Of course it had been a nice kiss, but nothing as all-encompassing as it had been made out to be. But now, standing at the alter of a Château in France, she realized that she’d been wrong. This was different, and it took her a moment to come back when Porky barked and Joe pulled away.
She chuckled, looking down at the little dog. “I think we’re embarrassing him.“ Then it was time to look out on the crowd as they went down the aisle, her lips unable to move from the grin. The mental image of her mother was confirmed when she turned her gaze to her, eyes red and puffy from an hour of crying. They’d done it, officially, a fact that struck her just as they were clearing their audience. Looking over to Joe, Sophie smiled. “That went faster than I thought it would. Maybe the heat got to the good pastor,” she jokingly commented, mostly having forgotten about the heatwave moving through the country until now.
“Probably embarrassing him. Telling us to stop,” he laughed. It wasn’t long until they walked down the aisle and made their way into the hallway. The bridal party coming up and congratulating the two with hugs and handshakes. It wasn’t long before both sets of parents came up to them, Denise giving Joe a tight hug, “oh, my baby!” She called out. Rewarding a laugh from Joe as he quickly returned the hug. A small sniff came from Denise before she went and gave Sophie the same tight hug. “Again, welcome to our family, Sophie! We’re happy to have you apart of it.” Denise smiled as she pulled back from the hug. “Joe finally picked a good one,” Paul stated, half teasing his middle son in the process.
Joe loved how much his parents adored the woman. Their opinions on anyone he brought home was always important to him. There were times of him not bringing the best girls home, and they both had strong dislikes on the subject. But ever since the first day he brought Sophie home to meet his family, it seemed like they always enjoyed her presence and their love for her grew the longer that the two were together.

Sophie could feel herself getting emotional saying her vows, especially as she watched Joe’s well up. And then came the rings. Though it was smaller than the engagement ring she’d been wearing around for a year, the weight the band carried as Joe recited the familiar words brought a smile to her lips. Calling him her husband had been a strange transition since their first wedding, but she figured that after today it would truly ingrained in her mind. “Sophie, we’re back to you,” the Pastor informed her, earning a smile as she took the ring she’d picked out three months before.
Having wanted to surprise him, Sophie waited until it was set that he would be in the studio all day and then took every ring of his that she could find. Collaborating with Nick via text from the ring store, she’d narrowed down the ring that fit Joe best and handed that one over for sizing once she’d found the perfect band. “I Sophie take Joseph to be my husband.” Oh yeah, it already felt more real just saying it now. It was reaching new favorite word potential. “I promise to love, honor and respect, to be faithful to you and forsaking all others until death do us part.” As the ring slipped onto his finger, she felt any traces of tension leave her body.
With their first wedding, they had used ring pops for this segment of the rushed ceremony. So having the rings that they picked up months prior just made this even more special. He listened at her words as she repeated what the pastor was saying. At this point, he had tears rolling down his cheeks. He was easily falling more in love with her as time passed. “I love you,” he mouthed, taking her hands back in his, lacing their fingers together. They did a few more things before the pastor announced, “Mr. and Mrs. Jonas! Joseph, you may now kiss your bride.” Joe smiled, moving closer to the younger blonde, leaning in and pressing his lips against hers.
In that moment, everything came to light. He could hear claps, possibly Alena going, ‘ew.’ and a few awes from what he could assume were from the woman who were close to the two. It wasn’t until he heard a few loud barks from their dog, that made Joe pull back from the kiss, his arms had wrapped around her waist by now. “I’m not sure if he’s telling us to stop or just cheering us on,” he smiled, his eyes going towards Porky, who was sitting by his in law’s feet. “Let’s get going, yeah?” He whispered before he took her hand again and started walking down the aisle, the bridal party walking right behind them.

First wedding? How many have you had?
I thought this was your first one.
Two. Sophie and I had two weddings. We had to be legally married in the states in order to have a ceremony in France.

I know but if you’re in another country besides the United States and you hear football, they mean soccer or well, football! It’s extremely confusing for any foreign who’s in the US. I can’t even understand American Football.
And I’m that stupid american who would probably talk about American football when I hear it in another country.

Sophie’s smile relaxed as he kissed her hand, the gesture causing her heart to swell. Had there been any doubts in her mind, his gentle charm was more than enough proof that she’d never made a better decision than saying yes. And she recounted that over the next several minutes, spending the better part of the ceremony simply admiring her groom. The first time they’d met, she knew right away that the singer was going to be different than anyone she’d dated before. Of course she’d known a little about him, both through bits and pieces from her friends and the inescapable hum of the media. But still, the Joe she’d met was far from the man she was expecting in the best way possible. Her mother was probably crying by now, and being smirked at by her brothers, though she hadn’t thought to check — that could come later. Now her focus was unwaveringly on Joe, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze as he started her vows.
Truthfully, she’d been fine until that point, sailing through the ceremony in an oblivious kind of tranquility where all she had to worry about was committing the sight before her to memory. But when he started on his vows, she could feel the tears beginning to roll down her cheeks. By the time he was finished, she was more than glad that she’d opted for the waterproof makeup. She mouthed a genuine ‘thank you’ to him as the pastor went on to say that it was time for her vows. “Oh god, my turn,” she chuckled, fanning away the dampness in her eyes and earning a laugh the audience. She took his hands in hers once more before she began. “Joe, you’re my partner, I don’t know how better to put it, words are more your suit but I’ll do my best. You match me in every way possible, from your adventurous spirit to your ability to turn a lazy day at home into the best day ever, always making me laugh along the way. Had someone told me two years ago that we would be standing here, I might have laughed and called them insane. But it would only have been because I’d never experienced true partnership until the day your name lit up my phone. You’re my rock, my forever love, and I’ll always be grateful to you for truly changing my life each and every day. I promise to love you and always be there to support you, no matter what it is you need. I vow to be your best friend, your biggest fan, and you most enduring confidant, and I’m more ready than ever for us to take on new adventures as partners in life. I love you, Jojo.”
He chuckled softly as she started fanning herself as the pastor stated it was her turn. As she said her vows, he could fill his eyes welling up with tears all over again. He was always the sensitive and more emotional one between his brothers, so he always knew he would probably cry at his wedding. There was no doubt that she loved him as much as he loved her. And he loved her a lot, probably more than how much he loved himself. He quietly thanked her once she came to a stop, he could hear sniffles and some awes in the crowed between both of their vows. It was one of the rare occurrences where it dawned on him that there were hundreds of people there with them. It wasn’t just the bride, groom, and pastor.
“Joe, please take the ring.” Pastor said, knocking Joe out of his thoughts. He turned towards the groomsman, and took the wedding band from Nick, thanking him before he turned back to his bride. “Please repeat after me,” the pastor said once Joe took Sophie’s left hand. I’ Joseph take Sophie to be my wife. I promise you love, honor and respect, to be faithful to you and forsaking all others, until death do us part.” The male repeated before he slipped the small silver band that matched her engagement ring.
