Falling for a boy who pushed the world away was probably not the best choice considering his new standing at this college, but then again Chase was never really one to follow the rules. There were things about Marco that he didn’t know, but he’d wait for him to open up about so they could finally see a light at the end of this tunnel. “Question you? it’s going to happen every single time.” he smirked watching as Marco took the front of his shirt, smirking as he found all the little actions that showed the duality of this man. tough exterior, very soft insides. Chase could tell Marco was touch starved to a point, and he wanted nothing more than to ensure that their foolish love story wouldn’t crash and burn. Did he actually care for once? Guess Chase Clearwater was finally ready to settle down and just be someone else’s number one. “I’m studying to be a marine biologist, i know plenty about selfless actions babe,” he snickered. “Not really much to sneak around from really, just doing this for you,” he admitted. Chase never really cared if anybody saw him with Marco, sure there was a divide between the student body, but this wasn’t a teen 90′s movie, they weren’t the outsiders either, there were no socs or greasers here. “With the way we do things behind closed doors, we’re not saints at all, but I wouldn’t say we’re outright bad either, a little grey area maybe,” Chase shrugged not really into the whole code of morality or whatever it was that was instilled into Marco. “The universe is kind of a jackass, but I think it’s not so bad at the moment. Could be worse around here, I could’ve not met you.” Chase said finally showing Marco a little smile. “No, you just complain every other chance you get though,” he teased smiling at the fact that Marco did always have a comment about everything. It was one of the first things he noticed, how well the boy could spit venom, but it was those rare moment when words faltered and what came out was nothing but soft and genuine, that was when Chase saw the guy he fell for. “You’re right, everything does heal in time.” the question caught him off guard causing him to blink slightly, but then his features softened as he leaned in to kiss Marco. “Would be my pleasure to take you to the dance, I know you want no public displays of affection, but hey if it’s what we gotta do then that’s fine by me, I get you to myself the night of anyway.” he shrugged. “Hmm? how come?” he sighed, letting himself fall into the emrbace, hugging marco back. “you’re safe with me, i got you marco.” chase said whispering back to the other boy. there was something he wanted to say, something that’s been at the tip of his tongue this entire time, but he stops himself not wanting the other boy to run away. instead he leans in, presses their lips together and smiles. “i’m yours, remember?”
“Are you certain about that? I have a tendency to flip like a light switch.” Marco remarked as he smirked. In his mind grasping the others shirt and fisting it in his hands spoke control, on the inner parts of him however it was screaming something different entirely. He had wanted someone to stay. His past, however, reflected on trauma that caused him to push each and every person he had wanted to stay to walk out his life. To close that door and shut him out entirely. Grayson was beginning to be a mere example of that. The two having been childhood friends, but recently, the drugs, the mangled mess of his mind, and his confusion with not wanting to love Chase the way he did, led to him kissing his best mate and telling him he wanted to hookup. Something the guy left him standing outside the club in shock and hurt over. He was fucked. “How is the studies going? Is my competition as handsome as I?” He had to ask. He needed to know if he was the only one Chase Clearwater had eyes for. When the next words were spoked he felt a pang in his chest. What did it mean? He didn’t know. Had he felt ashamed of his actions. “Just give me a bit more time.” Marco knew he had a reputation to uphold. That would all go crumbling though wouldn’t it? What if the others around him knew he was willing to give himself to someone he preached he was so against. Thinking for a moment he sighed and caved. He was caving against his code. Shocking. “You’re right.” He admitted and bit his lip. “You think your life would have sucked without me in it?” He questioned as he looked up into Chase’s eyes. Bringing the hand up that fisted the blondes shirt he caressed his cheek. “I can’t help it. It’s just a part of me. A foundation to the way I was built.” He felt himself explain as he drew into the other. “Like hearts.” He whispered in comment hoping it fell short to Chase’s ears. When he felt the lips press to his he hesitated. They weren’t exactly hidden, but he wanted this warming affection and instead of pushing him away he welcomed and returned the kiss. Perhaps he might shock them both that night and end up kissing the other in public, who knew. “I would enjoy your company. I don’t think I would enjoy going if I had no one at my side.” He remarked. “Softness is a weakness.” He replied as he looked down and pulled away and went to turn after his hand was finished being catered too. Hearing the words he was stopped and pulled in as he felt the lips against his once more. An assurance of words that followed came after. “Mine...” He looked at Chase as he trailed off. “and what does this make me?”
