“Oh snap, well i think i would for sure like to see that , can’t imagine anyone would still give her a reason to keep doing it after she did it to someone the first time “ he laughed. ‘Yeah i don’t know, i tried to rekindle the brotherness a few years back but it’ll see him at important events and we talk more like strangers than anything, Jacobs always stood by me in my bad choices and all , however when he learns I’ve lied he may not like me as much “ he said. “Our dad was a dick but he spoiled us.” she chuckled as she smiled “Jacob seems amazing all around, he barely knows me but he treats me like he’s known me all his life and I love that.” the woman said handing an envelope to him and one to the little girl. “Go ahead.” she said taking her phone out starting to take a video

“I would love to see that, I always did enjoy a good fight though” he laughed . “I feel , like i said Joey and Jacob kind of set the standers high with all their relationship, my mom was expecting a new grandkid months i swear out of all of us. As sad as it is I feel like I really don’t know Preston that much , I know as much as Alenas ever spoke about it to me which is really nothng, but I think my drug use really dug that dagger deep” he said shrugging some. “I agree lets get into it, let me call Sterling in and get her some water real fast “ he said walking to the door and calling in his daughter 

“I mean don’t get me wrong, it was entertaining because this girl wore heels to school every day and if you messed with her you were bound to get a Louboutin to the face.” the woman laughed “I only know Preston because of Alexis, he seems to keep to himself and you and Jacob seem like you’re close.” the woman said “I’ll give you one envelope and give her one.” Scarlett said taking them out putting them on the island as she sat on one of the bar stools

“well then it seems you’ve always been my type “ he laughed “ i still did track in high school but I did enjoy my studys , part of the quote on quote fun pills i did was to help me focus more and stay awake because I was into it… turns out i don’t think i actually learned a damn thing. Your sister, hasnt she been married for ever too or something like that ? Jacob has always seemed to be the one with his life together him and joey just .. i don’t know drawn together and had the girls “ he said . “Oh did you now ? I thought you were cute too right away but back then i was trying to make things work with sterlings mom again but thats a whole different mess” he said . “I try not , always want to separate the character and teh person 

“Sydney was the one throwing punches, pulling hair, starting drama but I just wanted none of that, she was more like Maddy.” the woman said as she nodded “Sydney and Noah have been married for a while now and then Sahara and Mason, I was always envious of them having the relationships they had but then I found you and just didn’t feel that way anymore.” the woman said “What do you say we open this bad boy?” she said pulling the envelope from the drawer “Well I think you’re good at leaving Nate at the door, you’re a far better man.”

“of course I felt like well i’m having a baby with someone they should know a little bit more about me right ?”he laughed . “oh I did not for sure , you were and still are way to good for me . but i think the nate and cassie story line kind of helped throw us together … hopefully we are better than them

“I wish I had any stories but I was that girl in high school that kept to herself, didn’t really date many boys, was in choir and dance, Sydney on the other hand she was the trouble.” the woman said shaking her head laughing “I think it did too but I had a crush on you from day one so I knew I was gonna make a move at some point.” she blushed “I know we are, you are not anything like that asshole.”

“Not many did , I mean to some I was already clean 3 years and no one seemed to notice that I actually wasn’t I wouldn’t have wanted you to know It’s embarrassing to talk about sometimes”“ he said . “I wasn’t sure I was going to ask either , and I was so relieved when you said yes you have no ideas

Scarlett smiled “Thank you for trusting me with that story, you didn’t have to tell me but you did and I appreciate that you did.” she said as she looked up and smiled “When we first met I didn’t think we’d be here now but here we are, having twins together, moving in together, it all feels like a dream come true.”

“Yeah it’s all good , by the end I was kind of doing whatever I could find , and like I said hitting rock bottom a few times , I tried many times to get clean when Sterling was born I didn’t know about her until she was six months , but I kept failing over and over and the. One day she said something to me and it hit me in the face and now a year later here we are “ he said . Dean turned and looked to her smiling “I’m happy you agreed to move in with us “

Scarlett looked at Dean and laid her head against his arm putting her hand on his chest “I had no idea you were going through so much when we met, I wish I would’ve known so I could’ve helped.” she said smiling up at him “I’m happy that you asked, I wasn’t expecting it in all honesty but I know for sure that it’s going to be amazing to be with both of you, I worry about Sterling a lot of the time so I’ll be happy to be around to make sure she’s okay.”

“Hm yeah you could say that , it was plural drugs “ he said “uhm in middle school I had a track coach and I was the the fastest runner they had he without me knowing for about 2 years gave me things and then I’m high school he became less .. secretive with it and I Started to take them for fun and I turned into a person I didn’t even know , but I still had dreams so I learned to function on them until I hit rock bottom .. and then hit it four more times “ he said . Finishing the last dish he smiled to her “she really enjoys you , and so do I “ he said

“Holy shit, Dean, I’m so sorry you went through all that, I’m even more proud of you for being sober for a year now. If you need me to ever do anything I’m here for you, to support you, to be a shoulder to lean on, anything.” Scarlett said as she looked at him smiling drying the last dish “I love having you both around, you two bring me so much joy and happiness.”

Sterling walked outside and start to play with the dog , her laughs could still be heard inside . Dean started to wash up the dishes “No no , I want you to know what you want to , I want to be open it’s good for me but only if you want to know it l he said . “Well once I finish cleaning up we’ll open thatba d boy up , I’m ready to know

“So can I ask you, what exactly happened? Was it a drug?” she asked as she dried the dishes putting them in the rack as she looked at Dean “I’m ready to know too, I didn’t want to find out without you it felt wrong.” Scarlett said as she looked outside smiling at Sterling.

“You know you can ask anything you want about it ,I’m not shy about it anymore obviously somethings I’d want discussed not around ster but most things I am an open book to you “ he said . “But thank you I’ve done a lot of things to be better” he said getting you and grabbing the empty plates “ster why don’t you go wash up and maybe you can go play with scars dog get you ready for your own, but not to hard we do not need you going low “ he said . The little girl nodded and ran off . “I’m excited as well , I never thought I’d have more kids so thank you for barring two of them “ he said smiling

“Pumpkin’s ready for you out there, she’s peeking from her little house.” the woman said before the little girl ran off “I don’t wanna trigger you too much that’s why I don’t really wanna bring up your past, I know it can be hard for some.” she said as she looked at Dean “Well I’ve got the envelope right in this drawer in the island, I’m excited for my first two little ones and especially excited because they’re with you.”

“We elordi look mean but deep down some big teddy bears, well for the most part I did used to be mean but that wasn’t really me “ he said . “ my poor mom could never keep her house in piece we were always trying to go at eachother 

“I don’t really know much about your past issues but I just want you to know that I admire you, you are the best father I know, you’re a hell of an actor and you’re one of the most amazing men I’ve ever met.” she said “I can’t wait to see what these two are like, the doctor said it either be boy and boy, girl and girl or one of each I can’t wait to find out with both of you.”

“I’m not surprised by that in the slightlest, thats his family in there therefore you are family” he laughed . “Ever have a fight with your sisters and it’s just so weird seeing your own face coming at you like that “ he laughed as he finished his food. 

“I’m not either, I wasn’t surprised in the one bit when he stood in front of me as i walked out the door, protecting all costs.” she said with a smile “Oh god Sydney and I used to get in slap fights all the time about things.”

“see , i’m surprised he even let you in the building, when joey was pregnant with i think it was Juliet she asked me if i’d go on a walk with her around the block and she was fairly pregnant then  so i agreed, we went and we came back and i swear i’ve never been so scared by my own face giving me death glares” he laughed. Dean laughed “ ok , but does this mean dad gets to pick the puppy? he smiled 

“I was just as surprised as you are, my darling, he treated me like a puppy.” the woman said with a laugh “Oh I can’t imagine what that’s like, darling, you poor thing.” she said as she laughed “Okay you got us, you can pick out the puppy.”

“don’t we all, but you don’t need to be working out anyways right now being so close, I’m sure Jacob would tell you the same thing , the way he treats joey when she’s pregnant is how i assume he’d treat you trying to work out “ he laughed. Sterling smiled and stuck her tongue out at her dad “Now thats just evil “ he laughed. “Well fine if three kids are taking care of it then it’s a deal” he said laughing 

“I tried to go the other day when he was there and he was like ‘you can go to the pool if you want but you’re not lifting weights’ and then I tried to go on the treadmill and he stood there and I gave up.” the woman said with a laugh “Well after the babies and the food I’m gonna need his gym more than ever.” the woman said finishing her other piece of chicken “They’ll all take the puppy on walks and I promise to clean up after it.” she said

Dean stood up and got himself another piece as well “ Eat as much as you want , and theres still even more at home i didn’t bring, Sterling goes crazy for it and will eat it all the time if i let her “ he laughed. “ Alright fine, we’ll get a puppy but only if you young lady step up and help out with it “

“With all this food around I’m gonna have to upgrade my membership to your brothers gym.” the woman said as she took another bite of her food “We did it.” Scarlett said softly to Sterling with a giggle as she sat down again “I think the babies like the idea of having a puppy too, they promise to help too.”

“Well I’m glad , there’s plenty of more if you want it “ he said to the blonde . “I think you’re to easily falling for her little tricks “ he laughed “having a puppy is like having another baby “

“Actually you know what I might actually go in for another piece.” she said as she walked over to the tray and grabbed another piece sitting down taking a bite. “That’s true, I think I am, Dean, she’s got me already I can’t help it.”
