The most important person within Bambiâs life is undoubtedly his mother. Of course, he has his father and his best friends who he deeply cared about and was important to him too, but his bond with his mother was a special one, and he couldnât imagine ever living his life without her.
His mother has been there for him in every aspect of his life and has been the one who shaped Bambi into the person he is today. She was the kindest and gentlest soul heâs ever known and she taught him to be equally as such but also strong. She always encouraged Bambi to be open with his emotions whenever he needed to and how it was okay for him to feel what he did for it didnât make him any less of a person but rather a stronger one who was in tune with himself. His mother had also taught Bambi to be good and gentle towards every living creature, be it humans or animals, he should never treat others badly.
Admittedly, interacting with other people wasnât easy for Bambi. He has a shy nature to him and tends to be quite and awkward whenever around someone new. The only people who he could be himself with from the very start was Thumper, and Faline. Well, Faline did have him flustered when they met, but he still got along with her quick like he did with the others.
If anything, Bambi found interacting and being around animals the easiest thing. The reason for that is because a lot of times he would be out in woods with his mother. It was one of their favorite places to go to, and whenever they were out there, they were always helping out and taking care of the animals whenever needed. If a baby bird fell off itâs nest, Bambi and his mother would make sure itâs back within itâs nest. If there was a piece of trash discarded that could harm one of the animals if consumed, the two would pick it up and throw it away where it belongs. And even if it meant planting a fallen acorn so another tree could grow and create another home, Bambi and his mother would do everything and anything they can to take care of the animals, and it was by far one of Bambiâs favorite things to do. He has the most fondest memories of his time at the woods with his mother and he couldnât wait to create even more with her the older he got.
If only Bambi could see into the future and foretell the events that would happen on one of the days they were at the woods together. As he and his mother were walking through the woods, Bambi never expected for them to stumble onto a group of arguing witches. He also never expected to be caught in the crossfire or for his mother to be struck by one of their powerful magic. It was a frightening moment for Bambi, and though he and his mother made their way back home as quickly as possible, it was too late. His mother fell ill and no amount of bedrest or medicine could get her feeling better. Then before Bambi knew it, his mother passed away and they were having a funeral for her. He was thirteen at the time.
Losing his mother had left him devastated and Bambi didnât want to do anything. He wanted to shut himself off from the world and mourn for her for as long as possible, which in his eyes was pretty much forever. It was only thanks to Thumper and Falineâs influences that he didnât completely lose himself as they were both there for him while still allowing him to grieve. For that, Bambi felt thankful.
Bambi wasnât the only one who lost his mother when she passed away as his father lost her too. Although he and his father hadnât been close because of his father was always off on business related stuff, Bambi never felt like he needed to be close to his father since he always had his mother. But now that she wasnât with them anymore, the distance between him and his father became much more noticeable and Bambi thought for sure that this would only make them more distant from one another. So when his father began working from home instead and was suddenly now more involved within his nice, it was both surprising, and admittedly a little overwhelming. But it was also nice and something that they both really needed because while he couldnât say his relationship with his father turned into one that was similar to what he had with his mother, Bambi felt grateful that his father tried to become part of his life in the first place. Even if it was very awkward at first.
There has been some changes his father incorporated that Bambi hadnât been so thrilled about. He didnât like how he was restricted from going to the woods again. Even when Bambi says he was going with one of his friends, his father would put his foot down and tell him that he wasnât going, and to make sure of that he was also refused from hanging out with his friends after school for a while. It was only when Bambi invited them over to his house was when he was allowed to hang out with them and he was thankful that his friends were understanding about it even when they found it weird.
But after a while, Bambi started missing being out in the woods and he just didnât know what he could do about it. That is, until Faline brought up the idea of creating a Eco Club at school. She likes to say that he was the one who came up with the idea, but it was all her. He just happened to be there to help her create the club and become part of it as her co-preisdent (though he would joke about being the vice president and Faline as the actual president).
However, his father can never know about the Eco Club no matter how unashamed of it Bambi was. He knew that if his father were to find out, he would make Bambi leave it because even though heâs old enough to take care of himself and of whatever might happen, his father was still fearful of something happening to Bambi if he went back to the woods. And as much as he gets that because there are times where he himself is still scared to go, the need to honor his motherâs memory and continue doing what he and her loved whenever they were out in the woods was greater than that fear. And so, if it means lying to his father and keeping the Eco Club a secret from him than thats exactly what Bambi will do.
By the time college came, he enrolled as a business major as a promise to his father in exchange of being able to live on campus with Thumper. It was the only way his father would let him go, and though business isnât exactly something that Bambi liked, he was more than willing to major in it if i means finally having more freedom to do what he wanted. Like being able to sneak out into the woods.
Whenever thereâs an important or big event that involved the Eco Club, Bambi would let Faline be the face of it. Partly because it was for the best as he couldnât risk his father finding out that heâs part of it, but also because it turns out that he enjoys doing all the behind the scenes and coordinating stuff. In fact, if it werenât for the fact that he had to major in business, Bambi would be honest and say that he wouldâve rather major in event management or in something closely related to that. But he doesnât think his father would be accepting of him becoming an event planner and so he keeps that idea to himself and take advantage of any chances he can to help out whenever he can.
Bambi is still a shy guy who may come off as a little quite. But now that heâs been living with Thumper, he has became a lot more out going than he use to be and is determined to become more social without letting his shyness get in the way of things.
He is a vegen through and through. Never once has he consumed meat in his life, and has refused ever trying it because the thought of eating animals or animal by products makes him feel sick and guilty and Bambi could never do that even if he wanted to. Which he doesnât.
Heâs always trying to use up as little waste as possible. In fact, Bambi would consider himself as not much of materialistic. He only has a few item of clothing that he considers as essential and would prefer renting anything else that he has to wear unless his father buys it for him and he doesnât go off buying too many things for himself either. Not to say that Bambi doesnât splurge every so often, but most things that he already owns, heâs had for years now. Including his phone which is a old model and even has a huge crack on itâs screen.
Would drop literally anything for an animal if he sees that itâs in need of help or if itâs in pain. In fact, more than once, Bambi has brought back a couple of critters to his dorm because he refused to leave it alone until he knew for sure that they would be okay.
Has the habit of walking backwards whenever someone frightens him or makes him nervous, and whenever he does so, chances are he would end up tripping due to not seeing whatâs behind him.
After what happened to his mother, Bambi did develop a fear of magic. At first, it was severely bad to the point where he refused to near anyone who was magical nor did he want to befriend them. But as time passed, he got a little comfortable with the idea of at least interacting with anyone he finds out to be magical. But heâs still scared of it especially whenever he seeâs someone using their magic and doesnât know if heâll ever feel completely safe around it either.
That being said, suddenly discovering that he was magical himself? Now that was a completely different story! Bambi doesnât want to be magical, in fact if he could stop it, he would because he refuses to become what caused his motherâs death. Because he doesnât want it, Bambi tries desperately hard not to use his magic and respond back to the animals. But being around all sorts of animals all the time, it was hard for him to because as much as he would like to pretend like he couldnât hear what they were saying, he then becomes guilty over knowing that he can understand them.
Bambi knows that a part of him is in love with Faline and does not mind the thought of the two of them dating or even getting married and starting a family together. But heâs also content with the idea of the two of them staying as best friends because all that matters to him is that he continues to have Faline in his life, and if that meant she finds happiness with someone else than Bambi's okay with that. Itâs not like he hasn't dated other people or was planning on never dating anyone else again, but he thinks he will always have feelings for Faline no matter what their relationship status turns out to be.
Heâs always been encouraging about Thumper and his music. He would listen to whatever his best friend writes and give his two cents on them if asked, and is completely positive on the fact that Thumper will make it big one day. Bambi also knows that Thumper is looking for a band to help become big with, and a part of him wished that he knew how to play an instrument so he could offer in becoming part of his band. But even if he did know how to play something, music isnât the path Bambi himself wants to head into. At best, he was good enough at singing and could give a second voice to any of Thumperâs songs if he wanted it, but even then he didnât think his voice was too great for that. So, what he will continue to do is be supportive of his best friend and in his endeavor of becoming a rockstar one day.
Also speaking of, Bambiâs aware of how Thumper dislikes being in college and has decided that he would be supportive of his best friend if he decides to drop out. Even if it meant losing him as his roommate due to them living at campus together, Bambi would rather have his best friend do what makes him happiest and deal with having a new roommate than have Thumper be miserable in being forced to be at college.
Would let Thumper or any of his sisters paint his nails, do his hair, put make up on him, or dress him up. He really doesnât mind it at all and in fact is happy to take part in any of their family activities because in many ways, Thumper and his sisters was like a second family to Bambi.
Is contemplating in starting a green house somewhere at school or maybe some kind of garden.
Getâs flustered easily, but the one who flusters him the most will always be Faline.
Likes to doddle on his arms a lot and can be found with random âtattoosâ on them because of how much he does it. And most of the time he draws something thatâs usually environmental, animal, or eco-friendly related things since theyâre all so important to him. Itâs even come to a point where heâs considered in maybe getting a couple of actual tattoos one day but Bambiâs unsure of that or how his father would react to them.
Is an outdoors kind of guy. It doesnât matter if itâs sunshine, rain, or snow, Bambi just wants to be outside for as long as possible and loves being out there.
No one knows about him being magical, not even Thumper or Faline and especially not his father. Bambi is completely silent about this, which isnât doing well for his mental health. But he persists.
Most days itâs bearable when dealing with the loss of his mother, but sometimes Bambi has those days where the same emotions he felt over losing her comes back and when that happens, he barely wants to get off from bed.
Thinks about his mother every single day.
