Sometimes, some blog themes make it difficult for me to properly read rules. If I have an issue with it, I might ask for a version of your rule easier to read.
When following new blogs, I usually wait 2 weeks, up to 1 month to see if they follow me back. If that's not the case, I just unfollow.
I usually follow back pretty quick when I am interested in writing with someone, unless I'm not very active. But if it's been more than a month, safe to assume I'm not interested
My activity here is very sporadic and will be very slow at times. I am mentally and physically disabled, and often suffer from brain fog and memory issues. If I take a while to respond to a thread, you're welcome to send me a reminder about it, but please don't do it too much.

Originally made as a gift for Pink Diamond by the other Diamonds as an attempt to distract her from wanting a colony, Spinel was made to be a jester. Her first ever memory was being in White's palace, and being presented as a gift to Pink Diamond. She wasn't made in a kindergarten, the Diamonds just used some of Pink's essence, some soil from a nearby planet, and their own power to speed up the process without the use of kindergarten.
Her role was to be Pink's playmate, to keep the Diamond happy and distracted. She was kind, sweet, innocent, and playful. Spinel spent all of her time in a garden, made specifically for Pink and her to play in. In fact, it was the same planet where the Diamonds had gotten the soil they used to make Spinel.
Even though Spinel was made perfect, no matter what she did, it never seemed to be enough. Pink wanted a colony, and she made that clear. Frequently, Pink would get angry about the mistreatment she got from the other Diamonds, and it was Spinel who suffered because of it. She would berate Spinel, tell her she was annoying, tell her how she never wanted her to be made in the first place. Sometimes even going as far as throwing her around. Luckily, Spinel is durable, so most time she was perfectly fine. But one time, Pink actually cracked Spinel's gem. The Diamond looked horrified by her own actions and wasted no time in healing Spinel.
Spinel said nothing about it, didn't complain, didn't do anything except what she was made to do: keep Pink happy. And if that's what this meant, then this was perfectly normal to her. And so she did her best to fulfill her purpose, for the next two thousand years. Sometimes, Pink would disappear, for months, sometimes even years, because the other Diamonds had kept her in a tower to punish her. During those times, Spinel occupied herself by tending to the flowers in the garden. She wasn't allowed to leave the garden. She had tried to follow Pink to Homeworld, at first, but the Diamond made it clear she didn't want her there. Everytime Pink came back, Spinel could tell she wasn't doing okay. So she tried to cheer her up, just like she was made to do.
But things turned for the worse when Pink actually got her first colony, Earth. Spinel was so happy for her, overjoyed at the idea of a new place to play together, but Pink had other plans in mind. She ordered Spinel to stay put and wait for her, in the guise of a game they were playing. Unbeknownst to Spinel, the Diamond had no plan to come back. And so Spinel waited there, in the same spot, for six thousand years, unable to move, unable to do anything but watch as the only home she knew crumbled around her. For six thousand years, she stood there, as her tears flowed down her face, and as the roots and vines coiled tightly around her legs.
After thousands of years with no update, she finally got something. But it wasn't what she expected. It was nothing she could have expected. Even though her hope to see Pink was almost gone, a part of her still wanted to believe she would come back. But that day, she learned the truth.
Pink was gone. She had abandoned her, had abandoned her old identity to make herself a new life under the name of Rose Quartz. As Spinel learned that Pink had made new friends and made herself a new life while Spinel waited there, alone, she felt betrayed. She had never felt like this before. It was a mix of anger, of pain, of betrayal, of confusion that the Gem didn't know how to cope with. Pink was gone, and she would never come back.
Her first reaction was to try to end her life. Without Pink, she had no reason to continue existing. So she tried to smash her own gem repeatedly against a pillar, damaging it to the point of chipping a piece away. She lost her physical form, and when she reformed, she didn't look the same. Her gem was upside down, so were the pupils in her eyes. She was taller, had shorter hair, and the tears she had shed had left permanent scars on her face.
She was livid. She wanted someone to pay. And if Pink was gone, then it meant her new friends would have to pay. Fueled by nothing but rage, she walked onto the warp pad, the one she had been forced to stare at this whole time, and warped to the first location it would take her.
She ended up in Pink's old, abandoned human zoo. It was empty, and so no one was there to see her, no one to stop her. From there, she got two Rejuvenators and, most importantly, an Injector. This wasn't just a regular Injector. This was from a discarded plan the Diamonds had to make a new Pink Diamond. And Spinel knew that using this on the planet Earth would cause the planet to die. A regular Gem, like a quartz, already took a lot of nutrients to form. So a Diamond would destroy the planet entirely. And this is what Spinel wanted. She wanted Earth gone.
When she arrived on Earth, it didn't take long for her to take the Crystal Gems down with the Rejuvenator and for her to almost kill Winter in the process. After a lot of fighting, screaming, and crying, Spinel gave up. She didn't want to fight anymore. She didn't want anything; she just wanted to disappear and be done with this.
When the Diamonds came to Earth, they asked Spinel to come with them, to come live in the palace. She wasn't a fan of this idea. On Homeworld, she would only hear about Pink constantly, and she knew she was nothing but a replacement in their eyes.
So she stayed on Earth, both because she didn't want anything to do with the Diamonds and because she wanted to fix the damage she had done. She knew it would take a while, that people would hate her. But she stayed anyway. She apologized to each individual person living in Beach City, helped with whatever people needed. She helped with the city repairs, visited the people that had ended up in the hospital.
To this day, she still lives in Beach City, having slowly made herself forgiven for her actions, by showing genuine remorse, and by fixing the damage she had caused. But the guilt is still strong inside of her.
