        ❝ don’t remind me, ❞ julianna mutters to herself before taking a deep breath to try to calm down a bit more - it’s not very effective. she then intertwines her hands together and raises them to rest her chin against as she thinks. ❝ i don’t know, i’m still a bit shaken up and i’m not sure i’m up for dealing with them right now, ❞ she admits. ❝ but like you said, it’s probably dangerous to stay here so … ❞ the brunette trails off as she drops one of her hands, the other staying to let her fingers absentmindedly fiddle with the cross around her neck. brown eyes scan the area as best as they could while she asks, ❝ do you think anyone else is leaving ? ❞

“it’s a double edged sword, i guess. i hate dealing with the media on a good day so maybe waiting for someone to make the next move would be what’s best for both of us?” darcy doesn’t mention that it also sounds like the very thing the protagonists in a horror movie would do but, ideally, the person making said ‘next move’ will by someone on security and not a horrible villain. she allows her own gaze to sweep around the darkened masses of people gathered for the party. “it’s hard to tell,” she sighs. “i don’t want to leave until i track down my boyfriend. we’re meant to go home together but he’s sort of wandered off.”

“i’ll definitely have to get to work writing your eulogy then!” she can’t help but smile at cece’s musings, most of which are far too complicated for darcy to be able to form a clever response. “i’ve had cottoneyed joe stuck as my song before so i think anything is a step up from that. will you kill me if i’ve never heard that one though? i’ll take your word on it!”

“thank you so much. for that, i really really needed to hear that today.” alessandra said with an gentle, genuine smile. “i often feel like screaming right back at them, but after late night shoots or early morning gym runs when i’m sweaty and gross, i just don’t have the energy. that is until my face is plastered all over a tabloid or a website; that i’m somehow, losing it.” the young starlet exclaimed with a sigh. “don’t apologize, with the drama at the studio and with all of my singing things…it feels like all the attention has been amplified. it’s nice to be here and talk to someone who literally gets it. of course, something terrible happens when i attempt to release a song or two to the public.” she muttered, a soft chuckle passing her lips. “i miss just wearing, actual sweatpants, not leggings but legitimate baggy sweats to the grocery store.”

“in that case, no problem!” darcy responds well to smiles, evidently. “it’s a good thing you resist that impulse. being rude to the paparazzi, while it feels like what they deserve, can only lead to bad things happening. they’re going to write what they want to write but it’s best not to give them the material yourself, you know?” as someone who expertly shapes her own public persona, she feels she has some margin of expertise on the subject. “maybe you could ask wolf how he balances singing and acting? he’s a really good resource for things like that and knows more about the whole music industry than most. i wouldn’t let the tragedy hold you back from doing something you love. that’s just letting the awful people who did this win.” she doesn’t want to talk about the mysterious deaths of bridge’s stars for too long. it made her sad and rather anxious. “oh goodness, i've never really been brave enough to be seen in sweatpants but i steal my boyfriend’s all the time when we’re hanging out, just us two. they’re like ten sizes too big which obviously makes them the most comfortable things i’ve ever worn.”
