✴︎ — Alecto nodded, “ mhm, of course it is. ” Alecto knew that Alice didn’t see her in a favourable light — the girl spent all her time with the Gryffindors afterall. She didn’t understand how they’d ended up in the same house. Alecto was well aware that Alice’s political views differed from those of the other Slytherins, and althoug Alecto secretly disagreed with a lot of things her housemates believed in, she couldn’t admit that. “ It’s never too early for screaming first years, apparently. ”

“yes, i can see that” she commented eyeing the child that cried. how could anyone be that cruel, especially to a first year? the kid couldn’t even fight back. it was an unfair ‘fight’. she crossed her arms under her chest. “well done for your accomplishment. you must feel so validated and strong after that” she usually didn’t go around telling people off, but there were times that she could not restrain herself. this wasn’t the smartest thing she could do, but then again injustice made her sick, and her house was full of it.

He gave a smile at the cheerfulness of her nature. “I like watching the sunrise too, but preferably from the comforts of my bed,” he joked before taking another sip of tea from his mug. “I’m just catching up on homework. I forgot basically everything here over break." He’d packed in a hurry and had meant to bring it home, but had forgotten. Technically he could have conjured it or asked a friend to send him a copy of the work, but he didn’t figure it was that important to go to such lengths. Plus, he was practically done anyways.

the girl nodded as he spoke. she had already finished hers; even the thought of having work pending was making her anxious. no, everything had to be finished on time. “do you need any help with anything?” she asked making a vague gesture over his books. she wasn’t sure if he would accept or even if he had any more work to do, but she ought to ask, mostly because she would’ve wanted someone to offer as well if she was in a similar situation. “you know i was surprised that this year they let us off with so little things to do. it’s not like them” she continued staring at the sunrise, slightly smirking.

Remus had woken up early, in hopes of getting some time to himself in the Great Hall before the rush of students came down from the dorms. That and he also had some Charms homework he’d been neglecting the night before that needed to get done. However, noticing whenever someone approached him he looked up from his mug, swallowing his tea before greeting them with a half-conscious, “hello.” Laying his arm down across his work and probably getting some ink on his new sweater, he continued, “what are you doing up so early?”

alice loved being alone. during all these years in hogwarts she had found all the places that people didn’t go, always equipped with her favourite book and a cup of tea. it came to her as a surprise to see remus sitting in the great hall that early. “good morning” she replied taking a seat next to him. “i always wake up that early. i love watching the sunrise, i feel like it... fills my soul! the question is what are you doing”

The redhead was particularly proud of the horn-growing hex she’d shot at the first year Gryffindor, and she made her way through the corridors away from where the student was screaming at the terror of having the pointy horns shooting out of her head. Alecto found herself in the entrance hall, almost running into someone on her way down the steps. “ Watch where you’re going, ” she snapped, readjusting her bag on her shoulder.

“always a pleasure, alecto” said alice as sourly as she could. the carrows always had hat effect on her. it didn’t matter that they were in the same house; in fact it only made things worse. most slytherin’s political alliance was one of the reasons that alice hanged out with gryffindors. she didn’t have all these prejudices against people, she didn’t care about anyone’s background. all she wanted was to get along with everyone and graduate. “Did you make any student cry today or is it too early?”.

‘ ugh, i don’t know if you’ve been told as well, but i’m not snogging bloody bludgers after winning a game! ’ mary threw herself on the gryffindor table’s bench. ‘ apparently, some third year hufflepuff has been spreading this rumour around school. i’m going to find out who that little wanker is. ’ she grabbed her fork & stabbed one of the eggs in her plate, making the yolk explode. ‘ some people don’t know how to lose, do they? ’

“yeah, i sort of heard... that. do you know who started it?”. alice looked around the room as if she she could find the one responsible for the rumor. “or at least from which house they are? i mean if you knew who is responsible you can play an innocent trick on them... at least that’s what i’d do...”

auditioning and actually acting on a set are two different things. when you audition, you’re in a room and you don’t have anything to play with and you don’t have anything physically in the room. whereas on set, you have direction, you have costumes, and you have other actors to work with. it’s a completely different thing.

My style is a little bit eclectic; it’s more of a modern look. I like clean lines and structural elements, anywhere from mid-rise skinny jeans to dressy. I hate skirts so much. Ease of wearing is ideal for me, sort of like more masculine, clean; I don’t tend to wear a terrible lot of very feminine things. I think I posted [an Instagram picture] the other day in a floral midi dress with a denim jacket over the top and that is about as girly as I get. Nothing with lace or sequins or sparkles or ruffles or none of that. None of that. More into body con or jeans, and like a button-down, leather jacket.
