Lavana had honestly been going in to get herself a drink. It had been a hard week, and she was given the money to get her roommate a bottle of something she liked. Of course, drinking alone was never fun, so Lav was fully prepared to get herself a little something, too. Bad habits must run hard with this one.
The voice made her quickly stop and turn her head, as it usually did when she felt someone was speaking to her. Usually, it wasn’t the case and she went on with her day, but… There was no one else around. She hadn’t been listening, particularly, so the words didn’t even have a chance to be anything more than jibberish.
“Um… Could you repeat that? I’m sorry, I didn’t really understand what you said.”
Gai smirked just a little stepping forward from leaning against the front of the funeral home. He stepped under a street lamp to make sure he could be seen by the stranger. No need trying to speak to her while hiding in the dark right? There’d be no fun in that, it’d just seem creepy and not in a fun kind of way that he could laugh about later.
“I said that bar across the street needed to change it’s lights. Look.”
He pointed to the lights which were still flashing except for one. He didn’t care so much for the lights at this point but just to have grabbed this strangers attention. He was getting bored waiting for Des and wanted someone to give him attention of any kind really. Though it’d be preferred if he didn’t scare the other away but that might be too late now.
“Are you heading over there by chance?”
It felt like something out a movie, a voice in her head mused. And not the kind of movie that ended with this rando getting the girl, either, yet not exactly horror. Lavana found herself amused by that, but did listen to what he had to say. Brown eyes met the sign with the one light out, and found herself laughing a little.
“Oh, I suppose it does. I don’t think they’re really gonna put in the money to get it done, though. Too much for one little light, really.” It didn’t seem like that big of a deal to her, but this person was kind of amusing, calling to a random girl to, what? Talk about lights? No, that couldn’t be it.
Lavana never did make good choices.
“Oh, mmm, yea. Was gonna pop over and get myself a bottle before heading home. What? Are you gonna ask to tag along? That’s usually what guys do when they’re trying to pick up a chick or whatever.”
