“you waiting to make a request or something?” fox snarled sarcastically without raising his gaze from his fingers, the juxtaposition of the delicacy of his guitar playing and the harshness of his voice strange. he’d felt the eyes of someone watching him for a few minutes now and it was putting him off. it wasn’t a fucking concert --- he’d just wanted to hang out outside for a while --- ALONE --- and work on a few songs.

it was during the night that fox truly realised how lonely he was becoming --- as if the darkness of the evening drew out all the bad thoughts from the corners of his mind. it was his fault -- he knew it was. it was his fault for pushing everyone away, even his closest friends ... but he was fine for the most part, he thrived in his own company and with his own thoughts --- but in that minute he just wanted somebody. even if they sat in silence. he began scrolling through the contacts of his phone, dismissing most of the names until he fell upon ‘ REMY 🙄 ‘. the guy was his complete opposite -- like a fucking ray of sunshine. it drove him insane ( at least that’s what he TOLD himself ). his finger lingered over the name for a moment before he decided to type out a message, “wanna go for a walk?” he ended up sending, cursing under his breath at how flustered he felt. if fox was ever to make contact with remy first it was usually under circumstances like this, a random text after a period of time of not speaking --- the only thing reliable about fox was how unreliable he was.

it’s not common to find fox in the position he’s in right now --- sunbathing in the hot sun, his curly hair almost glued to his forehead with perspiration. the pale boy had decided to make the most of it that day; he’d been holed up in his room for far too long. he wanted to feel human again ( if that were possible ). he was drifting in and out of sleep when he felt a shadow cast over him, and he blinked for a moment before lifting his gaze, an eyebrow quirked. it’s RYAN --- he’d seen her around before, but wasn’t in the mood for polite conversation and fake smiles right now. “can i help you?”

the morning shift wasn’t his favorite. actually it was very much his least favorite. it was too early for his brain to process anything that was happening and it was hardly ever packed. or even remotely alive with customers. so when peter heard the sound of a small bell, specifically the one above the front door, he was caught a bit surprised. setting down his cup of precious hot coffee, he put on the best clerk smile he had in him. “ good morning, do you need any help finding something? ”

fox had barely lifted his gaze from the floor all morning ---- his inability to fall asleep recently left him traipsing around town with dead eyes at the most ungodly of hours. he’d found himself stumbling into the record store that morning -- a place he frequented a lot. as fucked up as his life was becoming, at least it had a nice soundtrack. he forced himself to make eye contact with peter as the guy spoke to him, giving him a small nod before he turned his face away again. “i’m good.” he mumbled shortly, moving to a nearby aisle. “i don’t know how you can look so chipper at the crack of fucking DAWN.” he softened the sentence with a small quirk of his lips, a feeble attempt compared to peter’s wide grin.

he may not appear like the type but as well as playing the guitar & loving indie/rock music, he also has a passion for classical music; he plays the violin
