Summary:
Odysseus never got to properly reunite with Penelope and Telemachus, struck down in front of his son by Poseidon himself after slaying the last of the suitors. The Fates need to get a new hobby instead of finding new ways to traumatize Rhea’s husband.

Summary:
Odysseus and his daemon were Severed by the god Poseidon just before Odysseus could reach Ithaca’s shores, seemingly killing the man’s daemon and forcibly turning the King of Ithaca into a monster.
3,000 years later, Andi Jackson, the strange, daemonless daughter of Sally Jackson and some unknown man knows that this isn’t quite true…only to be forced into the world of the Monster from her nightmares, the Monster who ripped her away from the other half of her soul.

Summary:
A small one-shot I cooked up for an au where Damario and Ana survive and get to raise Harmonia. Which is very unfortunate for a poor scarer employed by Monsters Inc. in Monstropolis.
Writers have two modes and they are "i haven't written in three weeks and i am rotting from the inside and everything feels wrong and i don't know who i am anymore" and "i wrote for four hours straight and forgot to eat and it's dark outside and when did that happen and i feel like a god" and there is nothing in between. no chill. no medium setting. just famine or feast and a very confused nervous system.
like the betrayal’s always going to be worse if they cared about you and it didn’t matter. someone discards you because they didn’t give a shit, then you can be angry about that, you can feel vindicated in that, you can get over it. but if they can look you in the eyes and say “I love you. I would make the same choice again.” You will never sleep peacefully again, is all.
“I thought they cared about me, but they were lying this whole time.” <- tired. boring. removes all the nuance of this relationship to make it easier to move on from.
“I thought they cared about me, and I was right, and every minute they were there for me, every time they said they were proud, every laugh we shared leaning against each other bruised and breathless, all of it was real. and they still left me behind. They could put their love aside. I couldn’t.” <- insane. will never leave you alone. reminds you that even the worst people are still people and can still care about even the ones they hurt the most and that undoes neither the harm nor the love.

Like a month ago I messaged a craft group about accessibility for wheelchairs and the answer I got was “there’s a lot of stairs but we have cute boys who can carry you”.
And it’s…not good. As a wheelchair bound person I largely depend on people when I want to go out and do *anything* so I’m used to it, I laugh it off, make an annoyed post about it and off I go. But I wanna just say a thing real quick.
Even if I wasn’t gay, wasn’t a survivor scared of men, getting help as a disabled person is just…Not a pleasant thing to us! Imagine for a sec how you’d feel being carried up a flight of stairs. You’re a grown person. You’re being touched in an awkward way. You’d rather do it yourself. You’re So Uncomfortable. It’s not where I look for the beginning of a romantic relationship.
So like…could abled people stop doing this thing where they think helping us in a condescending and infantilizing way is cute? Cause I’m real tired. Just get me a ramp or lift and I’m cool. I don’t need a dating service when I’m just trying to go about my day
also so many wheelchair users have joint and muscle and neuro issues that could absolutely take permanent damage from being jiggled about whilst being carried up or down stairs, never mind the indignity and vulnerability of it
Just realized that the reason I love making friends on tumblr is because it’s exactly how you make friends on the playground as a six year old. No, I don’t know their name but they love mermaids too and built this awesome sand castle. No, I don’t know their age but their imaginary cheetah is friends with mine. You like this show? You like this character?? You can sing the theme song really loud??? Here is a flower crown. Here is a juice box. You can share my time and I might never see you again but part of you stays in my soul forever. In my mind we’re still on the swing set and the sky is blue and nothing will ever be wrong again.
I would definitely be one of the idiots in a story who die by poking at random mysterious objects in spite of the glaring warning signs to not do that.
Michael and Lucifer are a split-soul but unlike in my other AU, their parents just decided to roll with the surprise bonus baby so the twins weren’t isolated in the family. They don’t know which of the twins is the “original” or even how that happened.
finding out the truth will be a shock, but is somehow going to not be quite as big given Michael’s reaction to Lucifer’s “death”.
—There is a small subset of humans who are convinced that Lucifer and Michael are the angelic version of Jaime and Cersei.
Nothing will dissuade them from it. Michael and Lucifer are disgusted by the insinuation that is unfortunately only brought up while the angels are on live tv with a news reporter and Amenadiel and a select few of their other siblings (some of whom were in the Silver City moments before) have to hold both twins back from defending their honor.
Thinking about the whole "there is no platonic explanation for this" thing and how it doesn't account for intense platonic situationships and anyways I think we should start saying "there is no casual explanation for this" bc really what we're talking about is the way the characters in question are Obsessed with each other
