*Disclaimer: These are my personal thoughts and opinions with each book. I am in no way a professional, I just love to read and I enjoy writing and talking about the books I’m reading. I’m slowly getting back into reading, and I’m new to romance as well, so it’s going to take some time for me to completely review multiple books. Since I’m just now getting back into reading, a lot of these are just books I have that I want to read as of right now. Also, book recs are always welcome!! (Follow my other account: @munscavi)

FANTASY
•Flight of Icarus - Caitlin Schneiderhan
Rating: 7/10
Spice level: 🌶️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Notes: I was super excited to get it and read it. Overall it was good but I wouldn’t say it was my favorite, it was somewhat anticlimactic in my personal opinion. Nice storyline, it influenced some of my fanfics on my old blog. May or may not read it again. I think there was a smooch in there?
DARK ROMANCE
• Haunting Adeline - H. D. Carlton (Cat and Mouse Duet #1) ⭐️
Rating: 10/10
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Notes: Definitely important to read the trigger warnings beforehand, I don’t suggest going in blindly because those warnings are definitely there for a reason. It’s messed up and beautiful at the same time in the perfect way but I also enjoy those types of books. It’s definitely unleashed SOMETHING inside me that I wasn’t aware of before and I thank the author for that tremendously. Leaves on a cliffhanger but I immediately ordered the second book after reading chapter one because I knew I needed more. I’m in love.
Notes: This book absolutely destroyed me to my core and beyond. I wouldn't suggest skipping the warnings before reading because holy shit. She said this book was darker than the first one and I was like meh it can't be that bad. Well I was poorly mistaken. It was so much fucking darker and it crushed my soul. The writing is immaculate, it made me feel like I was actually there when everything was going on (just like Haunting Adeline) and I've had dreams ONLY about this book for the past four nights. When they reunited, my heart actually gave out I swear to god. Zade was a lot more patient and a whole lot fucking scarier in this book. Again, definitely read the warnings beforehand but oh my god THAT ENDING? I'm in love with Zade Meadows. Also where tf is Sibby?
•Little Stranger - Leigh Rivers (The Web of Silence Duet #1) 🗑️
Rating: 3/10
Spice level: no clue/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Notes: DNF. I literally cannot read past page 38. I read the warnings beforehand and obviously I knew what I was getting into but it just weirds me out. Maybe I’ll read it eventually but it’s a DNF as of right now.
I neeeed to find something to read that had me as attached to a series like the cat and mouse duet did. I've tried reading the LORDS series from Shantel Tessier and so far The Ritual is just suuuuper super boring and slow
Originally I had Little Stranger on my DNF list because I genuinely couldn't move past page 37. Well, I decided to pick it back up like an hour ago and I'm on page 51 and boy am I conflicted
I feel so weird reading this but I also read the warnings beforehand so this is on me
I didn't forget about this account I swear, I have just been verrrry busy in life between work, school, planning my wedding that's coming up next week, you know how it is.
Anywho, I've been in a reading slump but I'm trying to get back into it so bear with me for my reading reviews
Zade: What do you think Sibby will do for a distraction?
Adeline: She’ll probably, like, make a noise or throw a rock. That’s what I would do.
*Building explodes and several car alarms go off*
Adeline: ... or they could do that.
I finished the Cat and Mouse duet. I haven't been so attached to chatacters since reading like Harry Potter in elementary school and I don't know what to do with myself.
Zade Meadows the man you are. Adeline Reilly the author you are.
There was a lot of stuff in the second book that's happened to me personally so it hit completely different and when Zade saved her? My entire world just came crashing down.
Zade is in no way a good guy and in no way do I condone his actions before anyone thinks I do but the things this man does for HERRR? For her LOVEEEE? God I'm a sucker.
I'm picking up the L.O.R.D.S. series now but I really don't know if I'll be as attached.
I'm nearly done with Hunting Adeline and I've gotten so invested into the characters and when I'm done, it'll feel like I lost two of my closest friends
Okay so since I’m getting back into reading I want a kindle. Then again, I also looooove the feel and smell of a physical book and it just feels like home.
What are the pros/cons of both? Also should I get a kindle or? Someone help lol
