A/N: hello. i decided to write a discotrek drabble based on that halloween prompts list. i went totally overboard. and somehow this has absolutely nothing to do with halloween. enjoy.

"What the heck is that!?"
"What the heck is wha-" Tilley snapped, before she remembered that in spite of her superior intelligence, Michael was basically Vulcan, and therefore kind of clueless. "Come on. You know what this is."
"It looks like a torture device," Michael sniffed. "You're not coming anywhere near me with it.
Tilley gritted her teeth and stuffed the eyelash curler back into the makeup bag. "Okay, fine. But I am going to find some way to make your eyes pop, even if it kills me."
At that, Michael rolled her eyes. Tilley half-considered grabbing her pillow and screaming into it until the fabric triggered an anaphylactic reaction and she dropped dead where she stood.

So far her every attempt to help Michael get ready for the party had been rebuffed, and she was starting to feel like at this rate, they'd never make it on time.
When she'd laid out her lipsticks, Michael had grimaced so hard her mouth almost disappeared. When she offered up a set of vintage bejewelled hair pins from her grandmother, Michael had scoffed in a way that almost sounded like a laugh. (Almost, Tilley reminded herself. And don't say that aloud, Vulcans don't laugh and it'll offend her). Hell, she'd suggested they just paint their nails, wiggling her fingers in the air for emphasis, and Michael had actually shrunk away with a whine.
"I mean it," Tilley said, digging around for her favourite eyeshadow palette. "You need something to tie your look together. Hmm..." she perused the colours thoughtfully, tapping the slender handle of a fluffy brush against her lip. "I think... green."
She dabbed the brush into the pigment before Michael could insist on something more conservative, then reached out to take her chin in a firm grip. "Close your eyes."
Michael stared stubbornly up at her.
Tilley hovered the brush threateningly over the tip of her nose. "Close your eyes, or I'll make it look like a tin of matcha exploded all over you."
Michael huffed and obeyed, but not without coldly debunking her threat. "That doesn't make any logial sense. Nobody would think a tin of...matcha had exploded on me. Tins of foodstuff became neglible over sixty years ago with the advent of replicator technolo-Tilley oh my god-"
Tilley frowned and lifted the brush away from her face. "Don't scrunch your eyes!"
Michael had started to pull away, her features contorting in bemusement. "I- I'm not, just- What are you doing-"
"Blending the powder out. Keep still."
This time Michael listened, but the moment Tilley resumed softly stroking the brush across her eyelid, she squeaked and jerked her head back.
"Seriously what is thaaaat-"
"Ah, no." Tilley held her in place. "Don't make me call Airiam to come hold you still. She's strong and ruthless."
Michael stared up at her with wide, fearful eyes.
Tilley gave her a weird look. "Joke, oh my god. You stuffy Vulcan types really need training on when to laugh."
Embarrassment crept up Michael's spine and she closed her eyes, hoping beyond hope that Tilley wouldn't notice.
.... Though perhaps she shouldn't have bothered, though because Tilley didn't notice, and set to work doing that damn fluttering motion again... and for some illogical reason, Michael heard herself giggle.
Tilley stopped.
Michael bit her lip. She could feel laughter bubbling up inside her, and no matter how badly she wanted to turn to stone and never let out another noise ever again, she had a feeling that her body would betray her again any second now.
"Did you just laugh?"
Michael shook her head no and tried to get up. Tilley pushed her back down.
"Oh my god, you so did! Michael! That's so cute!"
"Shuddup," Michael grumbled.
"I can't just shut up, you laughed! Oh my god, and your face is ticklish! It's adorable! Oh, I need to tell everyone- ohoho, this is going to be the scuttlebutt of the night-"
"Okay, I am leaving," Michael announced, getting to her feet. "I am attending this party by myself, and then I am moving out, and if anyone else mentions this to me I will come back to murder you in your sleep-"
"Oh, are you?" Tilley asked. "Uh-huh? Are you sure?"
Michael turned to squint at her. Tilley was standing there, arms folded, with an enormous - unsettling - grin on her face.
"It's just, y'know. You've only got eyeshadow on the one eye."
