Fall Y1 Public Beta Release!

I am pleased to announce that the Wishbone Fall Year 1 beta is now available for download for Windows PCs! Go to the Beta Download page to grab the latest patch.

Wishbone is a cowboy character drama with farming sim elements. Raise critters, farm crops, and get entangled in the eccentric townspeople's personal drama via quests, minigames, tons of dialog, and a story that gradually builds in intensity as the seasons pass.

Wishbone may seem like a sleepy little town at first, but don't let the cute cow sprites fool you--this is not a cozy game. Fall of Year 1 is when the story's stakes really ramp up. The outlaw characters from Summer are back and a whole new side of the town will be revealed. Before the season is through, the player will come face to face with kidnapping, explosions, drugs, dark secrets, and death. :)

Vincent Vaduva, long time family friend of the Vanderdash family, considered an uncle/secondary father-figure to the Vanderdash kids, rumored to be part of a throuple with Aaron and Eirene but no one has confirmed it.

skilled bounty hunter, has some law experience but prefers being out in the woods hunting. Usually chill, though not above throwing snark back at assholes, do anything to hurt anyone he cares about and he'll hunt you to the ends of the earth. Dude's difficult to escape, unless the plot requires it.

Skylar E. Vanderdash, the offspring of Nikki Vanderdash.

A joyful friendly lil bundle of joy that Nikki had by complete accident. It takes a LOT to knock this kid down, and all she wants is to be make friends.

Nikki's usually good about playing it safe but this ONE instance she had some alcohol and grabbed this one.

and proceeded to NOT realize she was pregnant until contractions hit. Accidental baby from a cryptic pregnancy aside, Nikki's very devoted to her baby.

Sky is Nikki's childling, the ages are in fact NOT a growth chart but are mostly just 'in this AU she's this age', except the adult!Sky, which formed after a joke in a discord chat everyone missed. She's usually a young very dependent toddler/child or a baby (she started her existence as an OC as a 2 year old and I could NOT write 2 year olds, but give me credit I didn't write her as a secret computer hacking genius who could speak in full sentences despite the fact that she shouldn't even know how to write yet)

Ages seen here include~

Infant Sky. Basically not long out of the belly. Quit starin' at me with them big ole' eyes! (she got lil fawn spots since mom's a deer in furry worlds, they fade way when she reaches 12)

2 year old Sky: the originator of Sky as a character. I had a small growing group of OCs and wanted to make one who was struggling compared to the two who were doing okay. "I know, I'll give her a baby. but who would be the daddy?"

4 year old Sky: the first of several 'experimenting with Sky's age', to give her a lil bit more independence and more words. Also when I explored her being a kid who likes to color.

(sometimes she flops between being 2 or 4)

6/7 year old Sky: exclusive to one setting where I was asked if some of my characters could be borrowed for story elements and Sky was aged up to be a student in school, so she's a kid now.

10 year old Sky: a furry version of her own headworld setting (I should probably add a 'teen Sky' since she grows in this one), where it's like pokemon, but it's also not pokemon. A mon-catching world-setting where the 'monsters' are based on fairy/fae/spirit critters. Sky wants to pet everything and make lots of friends. (teen Sky added)

Adult Sky: she does get to this point but I never actually explored a world where she's an adult. Oldest she gets canonly is about 15/16 years old (in her own headworld fairy/monster catching world) "If there's a school reunion she'd be the tallest one there."

(she does grow into a pansexual polyamorous person)

Her mom's a deer, her dad's a mid-content wolf. She mostly got wolf from dad and maternal grandpa, fawn spots from mom, and a tiny lil pinch of jackal from paternal grandma, a woman both parents never want her to meet.,

Aaron Vanderdash, wolf, dad. Usually a nice fellow, bit of a rule stickler, cares about his family.

Eirene Logan-Vanderdash, deer, mom. A bad bitch who will kill you if you try to hurt her kids in any way.

Caleb and Joshua Vanderdash, wolf (with antlers), identical twins who act like two halves of one whole person. Tricksters with a soft heart.

London Vanderdash, deer (with some wolf traits), the spinster aunt of the siblings, likes organizing and managing things. Older sibling who tells you dragons aren't real.

Nikki Vanderdash, deer (totally normal deer), socially awkward dog-centric woman who will talk about dogs non-stop, misses social cues easily. (is a genetic chimera)

Gideon Vanderdash, deer, aspiring writer but also sensitive. Younger sibling who cries when told dragons aren't real.

Hayden Vanderdash, wolf, friendly social butterfly teen who comes off a bit too strong sometimes, and will bite anyone who hurts anyone she cares about.

Hunter Vanderdash, deer, quiet cautious teen who observes before approaching, but once friendship is established, he has your back.

New Windows AI feature records everything you’ve done on your PC

Recall uses AI features "to take images of your active screen every few seconds."

I think every computer user needs to read this because holy fucking shit this is fucking horrible.

So Windows has a new feature incoming called Recall where your computer will first, monitor everything you do with screenshots every couple of seconds and "process that" with an AI.

Hey, errrr, fuck no? This isn't merely because AI is really energy intensive to the point that it causes environmental damage. This is because it's basically surveilling what you are doing on your fucking desktop.

This AI is not going to be on your desktop, like all AI, it's going to be done on another server, "in the cloud" to be precise, so all those data and screenshot? They're going to go off to Microsoft. Microsoft are going to be monitoring what you do on your own computer.

Now of course Microsoft are going to be all "oooh, it's okay, we'll keep your data safe". They won't. Let me just remind you that evidence given over from Facebook has been used to prosecute a mother and daughter for an "illegal abortion", Microsoft will likely do the same.

And before someone goes "durrr, nuthin' to fear, nuthin to hide", let me remind you that you can be doing completely legal and righteous acts and still have the police on your arse. Are you an activist? Don't even need to be a hackivist, you can just be very vocal about something concerning and have the fucking police on your arse. They did this with environmental protesters in the UK. The culture war against transgender people looks likely to be heading in a direction wherein people looking for information on transgender people or help transitioning will be tracked down too. You have plenty to hide from the government, including your opinions and ideas.

Again, look into backing up your shit and switching to Linux Mint or Ubuntu to get away from Microsoft doing this shit.

Steps to Disable or Uninstall 'Recall' in Windows 11 24H2

there are multiple options here depending on how comfortable you are digging into your computer's registry. You can either simply disable it surface level through settings or excise it entirely from the system registry

There's a site called win7games that has archived older applications (games, text editors, MSPaint, ect.) and they can be downloaded and work with Windows 11 and can't be wiped from future updates.
