Avatar AU where Aang wakes up after 200 years in the iceberg, and 100 years after the Fire Nation completely fucks up the world.

The land is burned to a crisp. The moon is dark. The weather is out of wack. Angry spirits roam the wild, seeking vengeance against humanity for what they've done.

And yet despite everything, people still survive in the wasteland and ruins.

It's too late to save the world, but it's not too late to fix it.

(also instead of steampunk tech elements, it's atompunk elements)

Bumi is 212, Toph is 112, and along with another talented Earthbender who's 12 they rule New Omashu. They teach Aang together even though they have very different teaching styles.

For waterbending teacher I'm thinking maybe a pirate queen of sorts.

Firebending teacher is the hardest because the Fire Nation is all but extinct after both the spirits and the other nations have hunted them down for a century. Maybe in addition to Aang being the last Airbender, there's also one last Firebender left.

Interesting idea.

A prideful old man with a scar runs a tea shop alone. Still standing despite the apocalypse. His tea is excellent but he'll tell you that it's not nearly as good as what his uncle used to make.

for the waterbender pirate, I think maybe she came from a line of hillbillies who used to keep hidden in the swamps, and the way they survived the fire nation and what came after was making faster and faster hot rods hovercraft. So rather than galleons loaded down with cannons, the pirate crew whip around on hovercrafts and jet skis.

Part of her teaching Aang waterbending includes taking most of the water out of booze to make moonshine.

Maybe in the future because of the spirit infestation the swamp has expanded massive, swallowing up a good portion of the Earth continent that isn't burned.

Only the Foggy Swamp tribe can navigate it well, making them great guides and merchants, but also pirates and bandits.

The swamp is actually relatively close to Omashu in canon so it fits with the "New Omashu" idea.

Okay but hear me out: Global warming melts nearly all the icebergs except Aang's iceberg, which is kept frozen by the Avatar State.

The ice poachers were excited when they found him, thinking they hit the jackpot. Only to see there's a bison and a boy inside.

I was imagining a burning wasteland rather than a flooded one, but I really like this idea. It makes sense too. The world violently reacting to the Fire Nation's actions by going hard on the opposing element.

Also what would Aangs main goal be? Since Sozin's comet doesnt much mean anything anymore

I think he'd just want to help where he can, with an overarching goal of perhaps making peace between humanity and the spirits and restoring balance to the world (making the waters recede maybe?)

Speaking of Sozin's Comet. I had the idea that during the comet's return, the angry ocean spirit pulls it out of the sky (it is made of ice after all) and crashes it into the ocean, causing massive tsunamis and leading to the flooding of the world.

Your comments about AI users being talentless tells me you don't really understand art. It's about the product, not the tools. You can waste your life learning how to use a thousand of brushes and programs and you'll be easily outshone by someone who uses AI to draw what they want. my style of mech is very influenced by transformers (mix of different continuities and tf artists that I like) so I look at a lot of characters for inspiration
