Marcus ran his hand through his raven hair and kept his gaze low. “Hey now that’s just rude, I will wrestle you if you push me out, because I don’t take a no for an answer.” he chuckled. Marcus had gotten Lulu just because his dad had never allowed him to have any pets, so when he got a house the first thing he purchased was the husky. The raven noticed how awkward the other was, how he carried himself with his shoulders down low. Once inside the room he smiled at the poster and said no comment. He could tell Drew had a special appreciation for random stuff, but Marcus enjoyed how different he was. “Drew– you know I noticed how you were walking here, you didn’t even look at anyone.” He walked towards the bed and sat on the edge of it, he was facing the blond. Marcus reached out and grabbed the boy’s chin delicately with his thumb and index finger forcing their eyes together. “Don’t make yourself small– because you’re not.” he whispered the last part, his eyes quickly glanced at the boy’s lips where there was a lip ring. He grinned and slowly let go of him. “I like your room by the way.”

Drew couldn’t help himself from laughing at the males words, just feeling joy in his presence. “I always give no as an answer, so we will have a difficult time.” He joked, eyes squinting slightly to how big he had been smiling. But Drew was definitely awkward next to the jokes. He wasn’t used to being in crowded places, knowing anyone could be judging him at that moment. Not having the biggest social life did such things to him. It made him uncomfortable when no one noticed him, but also when people did. But being with Marcus would definitely cause progress in his behavior. Just not so soon, especially not in the halls that lead up towards his room. Drew sat comfortably though as soon as the door was closed and he had only one person to focus on. But when that person started on how his body language represented him, he couldn’t help but to tag at the end of his shirt; even while their eyes were now forced to make eye contact. “I’m not small, I know. I’m bloody tall, but behaving smaller than I am is easier to do than to carry myself around like I’m Kanye.” He muttered, scratching the back of his head, trying his hardest not to look at his full lips, to look the way they moved when they tried to convince Drew that he was more than he made himself look. “I like your face..” He said, before laughing, trying to make it seem as more of a joke than anything besides that.

She knows that itself would fluster the blonde boy. “No they are not, they are nice human beings okay?”

“I remember how she looks, I just didn’t pay much attention to her.” He said in his own defense, arching a single eyebrow. He moved his hand to her wrist, taking her hand down from her face, “don’t keep covering your mouth, just smile. But, I’m not saying you’re not sexy now, you’re just not fully at that hotness level yet ‘cause you aren’t completely independent yet.” He teased, yet he felt out of place and unnatural. He did try, though. “They are nasty. They could be your grandad.. You would be fucking someones grandpa. Think about it.”

“That’s good though– that you have yourself I mean there is no need to make other’s happy but yourself and it’s very admirable how much you want to make yourself proud. I believe in you.” Marcus said in a very sincere voice. “Hey I can still come over and play your video games while you sleep.” he teased laughing along the lines. “Yeah of course. She’s only three months old so she’s a baby.” he smiled pushing the button to his iPhone to reveal the screen, it was Marcus laying down and cuddling with Lulu, Lulu seemed to have a smile on her face. Marcus did notice how awkward and nervous he got when they had been so closed. “You really want me to walk fast– just remember Drew, I was in the army I can probably power walk you.” he chuckled but kept up with the blond at the pace he was going. He looked around noticing how loud and much movement there was around. “How do you even sleep here?” as they passed people Marcus noticed a couple of boy’s making out. Marcus looked away quickly and cleared his throat scratching the back of his neck. “Seems like a fun place.” he said with a nervous chuckle.

Drew couldn’t help but to smile softly when he was told by the other that he believed in him. Not a lot of people did, but when someone did, he cherished it deeply. “Thanks for doing so..” He said, a genuine smile still plastered onto his features. “I’m a light sleeper, so you might be pushed out by me.” He laughed, running a hand through his blonde locks, before he focused to look at the ravens background. “She’s so cute.” He said in complete awe. It really was one of the cutest husky’s he had ever seen. It wasn’t everyday that someone that was pretty much his only friend happened to also have cute dog. Looking down at the ground as they started to pass through the crowed. Drew struggled a lot with that; making eye contact with the people whom intimidated him. “Don’t power walk me, I will feel even worse about my pizza life in here.” He chuckled almost unnoticeable, not wanting to draw any attention to himself. When they started to reach his dorm, the blonde slightly looked over at the male again. “Usually around ten people start to move towards some party’s at sorority’s so it will get easy to fall asleep around that time.” Drew had trouble sleeping in his first week when he got here, but he adjusted to the noise, just how he adjusted to being alone most times. Pushing the door open after fumbling with his lock and keys, he opened his arms as if it was the most gorgeous room. “Ta-da!” He said happily, showing Marcus his room. His Kurt Cobain poster was always the first thing to stand out as it hung right above his desk, which had a cute cactus on his desk, his mac book standing half closed with a chair that was shaped like a butt. Drew liked the weird things, especially when it came to his desk since he did most things on there. Next was his bed, which was completely white, well made with two massive pillows against the headboard. “As you can see, I tried to make it nice without it being to girly.” He chuckled, walking in and plopping down on his squeaking bed.

Jake: I used to be obsessed but I had it so much I grew tired of it.

“Yeah, of course. Jake is way better.” He smiled once more, swaying back and forth on his heels. “I will once I get home. I usually have a glass of wine before bed anyway.” The way Drew’s eyes widened at the compliment was cute, but also a little sad. Was he not used to being complimented? Someone as attractive as him had to be getting them left and right. “You’re welcome,” Jacob smiled very softly, a weird feeling blooming in the pit of his stomach. It was something he’d only felt once, and even then the feeling didn’t last; that scared him a bit. “I’m not cute. But thanks.” He didn’t know whether to take him seriously or not. Whether it was a reflex to compliment back, or he meant it is something Jacob couldn’t figured out. Either way, he knew it wasn’t true. Jacob knew what he really was. And cute was not one of them. “I’ve seen you around campus a few times, by the way… You’ve sort of always caught my eye.” No filter. Jacob no longer had a filter. Shut up. You’re an idiot.

“You drink wine before bed? Are you rich?” That’s the first thing that had popped up. This guy wasn’t just some kid that drank cheap wine, he seemed like he was much more than that. It just made him wonder what his parents jobs were. Rubbing the back of his head, Drew just kinda looked at him when he didn’t agree with his compliment back. “Well, I’m not cute either. I’m not saying that ‘cause you don’t think you’re cute, but I think cute things are puppies and cats and.. You. People who don’t think they are cute are the people I will find cute. Not counting myself.” When he finished speaking, all he could wonder is why he even said that all. Why was he stumbling over his words even more than usual? Maybe it was the way the brunette looked at him with his green eyes, or just the fact that he didn’t filter his words and just said what he was thinking. Drew was just nervous around him. “Do you always talk so smoothly to people you find cute?” He asked, knowing he probably had seen him around. It was hard not to notice the blonde when he always stumbled and tripped. You couldn’t ignore someone when everyone around you just pointed and laughed, right. “Why did you notice me though? There are about 43,239 students walking around everyday, and you notice me. How?” He still had to ask though.

Jacob kept up his smile, refusing to drop whatever act he had started to create. “Well believe me, they’re not just casual.” His eyes really were pretty, something Jake usually didn’t bother to even notice in people. But this boy’s eyes stood out, strikingly so. After shaking Drew’s hand, he shoved his own into his jean pockets. “Most people call me Jake. I’m used to introducing myself as Jacob because my mom prefers it when I meet her friends.” He shrugged, “Old habits die hard. But nice to meet you Drew. Really.” Once again, Jake smiled, but this time it was a hint more sincere than before. “Yeah, it’s fine. Just genetically low. Haven’t had enough to eat today, I guess.” He looked towards his own reflection in the mirror for a millisecond, turning back to look Drew in his blue eyes. A soft sigh escaped him as he spoke again, “You’re really cute.”

Drew rubbed the tip of his Vans down on the floor, trying not to show that he was feeling uncomfortable yet flattered by the others words. He only knew his name, might have seen his face around campus a few times, but it wasn’t something he always got from strangers. “Can I call you Jake? It just sounds less serious and intimidating.” He chuckled, allowing a soft smile to linger on his lips. “Maybe you should get out of here and go eat, or at least drink something that has sugar in it.” Drew wasn’t sure what a low blood pressure even was, but he just assumed the other would need some sugar. Eyes widened as the brunette gave him another compliment, which he couldn’t ignore like the compliment on his eyes. It was a statment, and the least he had to do was thank him. “Oh.. Thank you, uhm.. You too.” He meant it, he really did, but his hesitation might have messed his own attempt of complimenting all up.
