don't tease kids for being bad at games. as a kid, i played pokemon (and i still do) and i was kind of clueless when it came to playing it. i released an event pokemon and tried to defeat a ghost type with my fighting type, but i look back on that now and i laugh. self-esteem can be fragile, especially for those who are still developing and have a lack of confidence in their abilities. don't get them down for what they don't yet understand. let kids play the games however they want to, no matter how wrong or right the method is. let them grow up and learn, and let them laugh at the silly things they did when they are older, instead of laughing at them while they are learning and don't understand it fully. don't tease kids for not understanding.
