“My problem is that I fall in love with words, rather than actions. I fall in love with ideas and thoughts, instead of reality. And it will be the death of me.”

thinking about all the shitty people i’ve opened up to makes me physically sick it’s so weird to think there are people walking around who don’t deserve to know me like they do/did i want my time back
If you ask your partner an important question, or you say something that is important to you and they don’t say anything: be wary. Please. If they want some time to think about it, that’s great, but if they ignore what you have said or act like they didn’t hear you, be wary. If they act defensive or get angry when you haven’t accused them of anything, be wary. If they turn the question around on you, be wary. If they act like they are deeply offended and twist it around until you feel guilty for even asking or saying anything, be wary. These are such subtle but important red flags for an emotionally abusive person.
Each of these things by themselves aren’t indicative of an abusive person but they are things you should be wary of. Your partner may not hit you or emotionally/verbally abuse you but it never starts that way. There is a psychological process that abusive partners use, a documented system, and instances like these are the first steps. These are not full on indicators of an abusive relationship, but they are things to be wary of and to notice.
Nobody’s lives just fit together. Fitting together is something you work at. It’s something you make happen - because you love each other.

I need someone who's okay with laying in bed all day but also up for spontaneous adventures.

I hope that someday, somebody wants to hold you for twenty minutes straight, and that’s all they do. They don’t pull away. They don’t look at your face. They don’t try to kiss you. All they do is wrap you up in their arms, without an ounce of selfishness in it.
