Anyways, I hope you like it!! Thank you for the request!
Bakugou sighed, flopping down onto his bed inexhaustion. Rolling over onto his back, he reached up to rub his face, cursingat the aching of his body. He was sore from head to toe and his head waspounding, even able to feel it in his eyeballs as he pressed his fingers intothe corners of his eyes. On top of everything, he was starving, making him feeleven weaker. He couldn’t believe that he was actually home, taking a moment toglance around his belongings. Everything that had just happened to him felt sosurreal, like it was just a bad dream. Still, visions of All Might strugglingfor his life plagued him, and an intense sense of guilt began to creep into hisheart.
Everything was his fault. It had all beenbecause of him, from All Might’s struggle to the countless people killed in thesurrounding area during the battle. None of this bullshit would havehappened if I had been stronger at the camp… If I hadn’t of been such a fuckingloser. Clenching his eyes shut to try and control his emotions, he let hisarm rest over his face, blocking out the light. Everyone is just pitying meas the weak child that got captured by villains. How much more fucking uselesscould I have been? Heart rate and breathing beginning to increase, he couldfeel a panic building within him for the first time, lost and alone in a cloudof swirling thoughts and emotions.
Before he could fall too deeply into despair, his phone buzzed in his pocket. It had been doing that for hours now that ithad been returned to him, originally left at the summer training site. At thispoint, he was surprised that it still had any battery, and he thought thatmaybe plugging it in would be a good idea. Rubbing his face once more, he satup and pulled the phone from his pocket, glancing at the screen to see themessages and calls from those worried about him. He scoffed, reaching over tograb his plug. “Damn people… Blowing up my phone like this.” Just then, anothermessage came in, though the name caught his attention. It was his lover, askingfor him to please respond to her.
“Shit…” Opening the text, he saw others fromher, first starting with cute hellos and silly jokes. Then, as she grewworried, they all started becoming begs for responses and wishing that he wasokay. Sighing, he scratched the back of his head, knowing that he needed totalk to her. Deciding that texting wasn’t personal enough, he laid back down sothat his plugged in phone could reach his ear, hitting the call button to dialher number. He was a bit startled at how quickly she responded, and he couldhear that she was crying.
“Katsuki?! Please tell me it’s you!”
“Yes, it’s me.” Bakugou couldn’t help theexhaustion in his voice, especially not now that he had laid down.
“I’m so glad! I was so worried-” Her sobs interrupted her words, and Bakugou felt even morehelpless. He had caused her pain, and now he had no way of helping her. Atleast, not over the phone like this.
“Hey, stop crying like that…”
“Can I come over to see you? I know you must betired, but I-” A hiccup broke through. “Ijust really need to see you. I’ve been so worried.”
If he were honest with himself, Bakugou justwanted to be alone. He was tired, hungry and irritable, but hearing her sobroken over him was something he just couldn’t ignore. “Yeah… That’s fine. Ifyou’re cool with sleeping forever.”
“I don’t care what we do, I just want to be withyou. I’ll be there soon, okay?”
Bakugou could already feel himself starting todrift off, his body heavy and eyes closed. “Okay… Bye, babe.”
He barely heard her words of farewell before hewas pulled into unconsciousness, mind swirling with horrific visions.
Bakugou was jerked awake by the sound of someoneknocking on his bedroom door, pulling him straight from his nightmare. Hewasn’t sure how long he had been asleep, but he felt even more like shit thanbefore, his stomach churning and twisting in nauseating hunger. Groaning, hesat up, rubbing the back of his sore neck before looking over at his door, feeling annoyance swell within him at being woken. Sure, it wasn’t a restfulsleep, but it was something, and his body begged for him to lay back down.“What?”
He regretted the harshness of his voice as thedoor cracked open, the pitiful form of his lover gazing through at him. Shelooked even worse than he felt, disheveled and miserable, the bags under hereyes telling him she hadn’t slept in who knows how long. Timidly, as ifembarrassed at her condition, she came inside and shut the door behind her, fighting to restrain her strong emotions. “W-were you asleep? I’m sorry, I…”
Bakugou sighed, holding his hand out towardsher. “Come here, you idiot.” Losing her composure, she ran over and jumped ontothe bed, latching onto him like he may vanish at any moment. Although shenearly knocked the wind out of him, he put his arms around her tightly, allowing her to sob into his chest. She was trembling, struggling to speakthrough her heaving. “I-I’m so glad you’re okay!” Stroking the back of her headgently, Bakugou felt a bit overwhelmed that she would be this upset over him.Although he tried to keep those thoughts at bay, he couldn’t help but feel likeit was because she thought he was weak, just like everyone else did.
That’s not it. It’s because she cares about methat she’s so upset. She doesn’t think I’m weak… He buried his face in her hair, soaking in her embrace.
Still, the thoughts wouldn’t stop.
Her pain is my fault, too. Everything is becauseI was weak.
