PRIV - On Demand Fitness and Beauty Service App
Happy Workout Wednesday everyone!
I thought I would share with all my NYC friends a new app that has recently launched called PRIV. They contacted me and asked if I wanted to give it a shot, of course I had to say yes!
PRIV is an on demand fitness and beauty service app in the NYC area. Downloading the app is free, and prices include tax and tip. Basically, you choose a service you want, pick the person you would like to come to your house and within an hour you are getting a mani/pedi, massage or having a personal training session. It’s kind of like Uber for fitness and beauty. I’m hooked!
Right now, PRIV is only in NYC, but it plans on expanding to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Miami by 2015, so stay tuned!
Ok, so I’m writing this post a little late…
Obviously I decided to go with a personal training session. In the app, you can browse trainers and it tells you how far away they are from you. Pretty cool, right?
Alejandro was at my apartment within the hour and we got to work.
He broke the session down into two different parts. The first part was a circuit (done twice) of 1 minute of work followed by 30 seconds of rest:
2. Mountain Climbers (everyone’s favorite)
5. Push-up to renegade row
The second part of the workout used the steps in my backyard.
1. Run down the steps, do 5 burpees, run up the steps, hold a plank for 1 minute
2. Run down the steps, do 6 burpees, bear crawl around the yard
3. Run suicides in the backyard, run up the steps and do 7 burpees.
(there was one more series, because we ended on 8 burpees but I forgot it)
I had a great time using PRIV! I definitely want to try out their mani/pedi services next!
