Hey I was wondering if you would know the name of this pair of shoes I’ve been searching for I’m not too sure if they’re rare or not but I’ve only ever seen a formula 1 driver wearing them in 2006 his name is Fernando Alonso if that helps thank you in advance have a nice day/night

The racing boots he’s wearing here look to be custom Future Cat Pros.  From what I can find  they do not correspond to any retail version.  It seems Puma did release a couple of ‘tribute’ Future Cat Lows (much later than 2006) which were metallic coloured and has Alonso’s signature on them etc. but they look nothing like the ones pictured.  The drivers wear highly customised boots (note the heel is much different than retail) and are hand-made to fit, lined with Nomex (fireproof) etc.

These are not very popular or highly sought-after of the Future Cats, is that correct? I tried looking on all platforms and I think I only found one pair for sale and they weren't in great condition. So I don't know if that means they are super rare and people are interested or if it means that they're not and there isn't much interest for these shoes.

I ask because I have a pair my brother bought just around the time they were released and I'm sure he only tried them on and wore them in the house maybe a couple times haha. I have photos I'll attach to this. I have the box and there is literally no wear on the inside. I'm just not sure if I should keep them as collectors item or if I should try selling them. Being as they are size 12 I unfortunately can't rock them as I'm a 6.5 women.

If there is any insight or information you have and wouldn't mind sharing with me about the shoes I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time! I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello! The 300759 line is a US Men's size reissue of some of the original EU 300534 (Low P) models (plus a few new colorways). These are equivalent to 300534 27 specifically. There are some manufacturing differences (ie. laces, the quality of the leather (IMO)) so hardcore collectors (I would think) would go more for the 'original' 300534s. BUT since these are like new and are with the original box they could be very attractive to a collector. I cannot say what price you should ask or what individual collectors would be willing to pay (I've been out of the market for a while.) I would suggest checking ebay, and if you do list them, the more pictures the better. Show the labels (esp. the ones under the tongue of the shoe showing the size and model numbers, factory info etc.) and the labels on the box. Hope that helps.

I have been searching online for awhile and came across your post shown in the attached photo.

I have the same pair and it took me so long to figure out what this particular shoe from puma was called let alone find it.

I was wondering, since you have the same pair if you would happen to know an approximate amount of how much they would be worth these days.

I can't seem to find a value and I do not know much about shoes. I am looking to sell the ones I have but am unsure of what to even price it at.

Sorry I don’t see an attached photo. Value will really depend a lot on condition . Look around on eBay to get an idea. That’s all the advice I have.

Yes, the M1 engine models were (and are) rare.

Four years.  I wonder if anyone’s still here?  We didn’t consciously decide to stop filling this with our obsessive observations, it just kind of... paused.  As we got busier rebuilding the studio, we got new cameras and had to re-work our workflows and approaches to doing things.  That takes time.  We are not completely distracted though, the collection has steadily grown... grown to the point where we have had to make some decisions on how to regain control of its scope.  We will be saying goodbye to the ‘modern’ section, the Future Cat M1s, M2s, S1s, Remixes and so on.  In their place we hope to continue to seek out and share here the bold, colourful aesthetic of the classic Future Cats. We have been fortunate enough to amass more than a dozen amazing examples, some exceedingly rare, from this classic period stretching from the 300428s, the myriad suedes, and the big cats and their astonishing use of material and colour.  So stay tuned, we will be showcasing our new finds here on a more regular basis.

2015 was the tenth anniversary of PUMA’s licensing relationship with Scuderia Ferrari, and (more importantly to us) the tenth anniversary of the Future Cat itself.  For 2015, PUMA produced two runs of three new Future Cat Low SKUs featuring Ferrari badging, 10th anniversary designs on the tongue and insole, and colourways from the official Ferrari palette. All featured a full smooth leather upper (no suede) and were designed to the original 2005 style and shape.  We were very pleased to find the materials and assembly to be of a high quality befitting the return of the classic.  Predictably, these six 10th anniversary SKUs were very popular and sold out fairly quickly from official retail sources (ie. puma.com) and new pairs are often commanding well over twice original retail on eBay now that they are out of production.

With the anniversary year of 2015 behind us, we were unsure what would become of the ‘anniversary edition’ (or ‘original design’) Future Cat in 2016.  Of its many offspring, the Future Cat M2 and Super LT have been retired.  The M1 continues in a limited fashion and has begat the confusingly named “M1 2,″ and the sleek, modern S1 continues in various (mostly synthetic) materials and colourways.

For 2016, not only did PUMA continue the original design Future Cat, it has released a run of four new SKUs to start the year.  The 10th anniversary tag on the tongue has been replaced with a simple cat logo, and the insole returns to the traditional logo design.  Still under Scuderia Ferrari branding and colours, this group share a simple monochromatic plus one highlight colour scheme but seem to adhere to the original design in all other ways.

We applaud PUMA for continuing the great tradition and timeless design of the original Future Cat and encourage them to revisit the ingenious colourways and popular suede variants of the past and bring them into the present and beyond.

This rare example was found on Amazon China and corresponds to the Mid version found in the Czech Republic.  Seemingly composed of all-synthetic materials, it is interesting to note that the ‘big cat’ logo is missing from the medial side (likely too difficult to attach to the synthetic ‘Hexatech’ mesh material.)  Only one other SKU was found, a Gray/Black/Purple womens’ sized version.
