Andreth takes Aegnor to the frozen Lake Aeluin. A place she has spent many happy childhood memories.
"Oh, Aegnor...what a glorious sight!" She puffed, the cold air blew from her mouth, her red cheeks pulled into a radiant grin as she laced her skates around her thick socks.
"Quite...," he replied softly. "Though, I am somewhat perplexed, fair lady, as to the reason you have brought me here,"
"Here," she answered, holding out a pair, equal to hers. Aegnor stared down at her novel offering. His brow furrowed, and his eyes glinted with amusement as he gently took them from her hands. "Put them on!" She cheered excitedly. Her eyes glowed with anticipation.
"I was perplexed at first, now I am no further enlightened...are we crossing the lake or preparing for war?" He asked. "These boots have blades beneath them!"
Laughter burst from her. "My dear, sweet elf! You are so utterly guileless at times!" Her grin swelled with glee. She watched him silently as he innocently plucked away at the blade of his skates. The suns soft light alluminated the fine contours in his face. In that moment, he appeared to her, the most beautiful creature she had ever laid eyes upon, and her smile faded.
"Have you ever wondered what it felt like to soar like a bird, Aegnor?" she asked, blushing. His eyes flicked curiously from the skate to her. Their gaze lingered in that moment, full of promise and hope. Then, his lips bent into a tender smile.
"Who hasn't desired for such a thing, my lady?" He replied softly.
"Here," she blushed, gently pushing his skates toward his chest. "Let me show you,"
