fyi, i will be reblogging a couple versions of this post just cuz ppl have made so many great additions.
there is quite literally no excuse for still giving even a fraction of a shit abt this franchise. i've talked in the past abt how i was a medium-name-fan in the harry potter fandom during the height of its popularity on livejournal, at a time in my life when i was home schooled, isolated, disabled, depressed, unmedicated, and basically had no other friend groups outside of my fellow harry potter fans.
i, and everyone else that i still keep in contact with from those days, have left that shit in the dust. deleted all fanfics, tossed our merch, and moved the fuck on. it is not hard. you cannot use nostalgia or "it was important to my childhood!" as an excuse because i promise you it was not more important to you than it was to me. if i can do it, you absolutely can. no excuses.
the lives of trans people are more important than your nostalgia, and if you're trans and a harry potter fan you're the biggest loser imaginable and you need to cultivate some self-respect.
yes, this includes "marauders" fandom.
