‘Sou! I have something for you!’, Chanyeol yelled coming inside their apartment. He closed the door with loud noise and almost ran to the living room, where she was. Girl was sitting on the floor with lots of papers around her. Hair in a messy bun and glasses on her nose could tell that she was there for a while now. ‘I mean it’s like a present for us! But you’ll love it too.’, he added, coming inside the room.
‘Huh?’, Sou asked, picking her head up from the papers. Eyes were squined, trying to figure out was was going on around her.
‘I said ‘I have present for you.’, Chanyeol smiled. ‘Us.’, he corrected himself.
‘What are you talking about? What present?’, she started shooting questions, picking herself up from the floor. ‘And for us? What kind of present can be for two people?’
‘No, stay like this.’, he immediately said, putting hands in front of him. ‘Close your eyes and wait a second, okay?’
‘You’re being weird.’, Sou said slowly and sat dawn again.
‘Please, listen to me. At least this time.’, he said with big smile. Sou said as he asked and Chanyeol immediately left the room. He came back as soon as possible, trying to be very careful and quiet. ‘Stay still and don’t make any sudden moves, please.’, he added.
‘What? What is going on?’, Sou asked, confused. She wanted to say more, but then felt something on her hand. It lasted for a second and left wet marks, which made her more confused and now scared. ‘Chanyeol, what is this?’, she asked and something licked her hand few more times.
‘You can open your eyes.’, he said and Sou did as he asked.She looked down just to see small white puppy, sitting by her feet and moving it’s tail.
‘Chanyeol, no.’, she sad, shaking her head. ‘I don’t think it’s a good time.’
‘It’s perfect time.’, Chanyeol said with a huge smile. ‘We’re stable with our careers, have our own apartment. We are in love, have each other. What more we do need to raise a dog?’
‘Time, Chanyeol. We need a lot of time for it. And both of us are constantly busy. We didn’t even went to our anniversary date last week, because you were in Australia filming a music video.’, Sou said.
‘Are you bla-?’, he furrowed his eyebrows.
‘No, I’m not blaming you. But that;s because I understand.’, she said. ‘I understand the time zones and that you’re doing things that make you happy. I understand when you’re in the studio till three in the morning or stay longer in the practice room, but a dog won’t. It won’t understand when it has to go to have a pee or is hungry. Dog is a huge commitement and I don’t know if we’re ready.’, she said, coming closer to the man. She put her palm on his cheek, stroking it few times.
‘We are.’, Chanyeol whispered, closing his eyes for a second.
‘It has a week.’, Sou said a little louder. ‘If after that time you are not able to handle it, then we’re gonna give it back.’
‘So you’re saying yes.’, he said, raising his eyebrows.
‘It’s a maybe.’, she rolled her eyes, kissing him lightily.
