Creative & Production Processes 1-Storyline
Date:23rd. Apr. 2020
It is a complete storyline sorted out according to the actual situation, and of course, many details will be presented in the final project. It records all the unique and significant turning events in the four days of this journey. Converting them into different choices and branches will bring a strong sense of experience and tension to the experiencer. In the early stage of project creation, storyboards will be produced according to the storyline, and the overall style will be tested and determined.
In addition, the selection of the project will be adjusted according to certain user tests and surveys, so that the experiencer can have a higher degree of interest.
Learning Processes 1-Intro to Twine
Date:21st. Apr. 2020
It is a teaching speech by the writer-director of 57° North. In this video, he mainly introduces how to use Twine to program a branching interactive game. Besides, he mentioned that Twine is free and open-source, which is why he chose to use this software.
Through this tutorial, I learned how to perform basic text editing in Twine. Combining the knowledge of Twine I learned before, I will make editing faster and more logical. At the same time, he introduced several editing methods of the video that is worthy of being tried and adopted. If I need more knowledge and look at some resources, I can find it at twinery.org.
I will continue to keep learning and inform some teaching videos and my attempts to make my work appear smoothly.

Forefront Artefact 1 - 57°North
Date: 18th. Apr. 2020
57°North is an interactive narrative game that can be downloaded in the Apple App Store or available on Google Play.
It is made in Twine and is also compatible with IOS and Android. Besides, it can be used with Merge Cube, a device that uses augmented reality and cameras and sensors in mobile devices to fuse the physical and digital worlds. More interestingly, it is also compatible with Merge Goggles, just select the Merge VR mode from the app. It can be seen that the interactive experience of this media work is extremely strong.
This game tells the story of the death and escape of two cousins on a remote island in Alaska. It contains hundreds of decisions and multiple endings, which are unexpected to the experiencer. This will also inspire my first idea.

Research 3 - National Cowgirl Museum Immersive Design Room Prototype
Date: 18th. Apr. 2020
This work is an immersive design room designed and developed by Ideum and the National Cowgirl Museum. As we can see, it is divided into two main parts. For one part, visitors can choose different colors and patterns for a certain denim product on the screen, and visually see its presentation effect. On the other hand, after visitors have designed their favorite style, this object can be presented on the large projection screen, combined with the constantly changing pattern background, to appreciate the overall effect.
The reason why this work is very attractive to me is that it not only provides an immersive projection experience, but also combines this technology with denim materials, which is more practical. Its use will bring more practical help to the audience, allowing the experiencer to design according to their favorite style when they need to buy denim products, at the same time can see the finished product in time. This will bring a new sales method of the future sales industry, so I think this is worth promoting.
In my opinion, technology is not only to create art with a sense of appreciation, but also to help human life, promote the development of human society, and bring positive effects. This work just reflects this point of view. It also aroused my reflections. In my future works and creations, I will pay more attention to the communication between the work and the experiencer, rather than just stay in the viewing stage.

Research 2 & Initial Idea 2
Date: 17th. Apr. 2020
Creating a device that use LED lights as a medium to cooperate with music, use Arduino to connect, collaborate with people's live dance or interaction.
The idea is rich and the rendering effect will be very good, which uses sensors to connect music and lights together, and there is also a combination of dance interaction. However, the form of live performance is more difficult to present this year. In addition, there are many works of this type, and it is difficult to be special and attract attention.

Research 1 & Initial Idea 1
Date:17th. Apr. 2020
Isadora Performance
The first research came from my favorite area-Interactive Video Projection. So I found a work by artist Okzide, which uses a combination of Isadora and Xbox Kinect. The video as a quick demo shows how he used these two technologies to achieve interactive video projection.
The reason why I researched it was that I had studied and tried Isadora. When I used it, it made me very excited. It attracted me to continue to create more fresher products and updated interactions works. So this led me to the first initial idea about graduation design: using Isadora and Arduino to create interactive work.
Nevertheless, when I decided on my graduation project idea, I gave up the idea. Due to severe COVID-19, the loan store of the school was closed for a long time, making it impossible for me to borrow Isadora computer and Arduino to start the creation. Also, the technical requirements for this project are relatively high, and the design of the content also requires a certain amount of experience and insights, which is slightly more difficult for me at present.

What kind of Digital Media Artist I want to be?
Date: 15th. Apr. 2020
It can be seen from the three steps presented in the exercise: First of all, in the picture of the first step, I am more interested in the big module of entertainment, which includes movies, social media interaction, reflective immersive installation art, digital-images and advertising. Except for the fields I have contacted and made, there are also typing that I want to try in the future.
Secondly, in step two, I list the different types of digital media art that I am interested in and want to combine. Among them, the two forms of generating sound effects and interactive storytelling are the areas I have done the most research and study recently.
Last but not least, the last step returned to the consideration of the audience and the form of an exhibition. Here I hope to achieve on-site interaction with the audience so that my work can have some emotional communication with the audience so that they can experience it truly.
In general, as a student that has studied in the field of digital media for five years, I have been exposed to various digital media technologies and knowledge, which has also continuously influenced what kind of digital media artist I want to become. For me, I want to be an all-round artist who can resonate emotionally with the audience. It means that I hope to master more comprehensive and extensive digital media technology in the future. Through my work, I can bring an emotional experience of the audience, so that they can feel happy after watching my actions, or they can feel the changes in my emotions and thoughts. Regarding the digital media jobs and projects I want to create, I will be more interested in interaction, stage, lighting and music, so I want to work in these related fields.
