Can I just make a point for the other Lana? It seems like her blog isn't up anymore, but that's really rude of you to assume she did it out of spite. Neither you nor RPH Lana are super well known, so it's highly likely that someone could simple have used the name of the faceclaim like many do. Do you know how many Taylor of RPHs there are out there? Don't assume it was out of malicious intent and attack someone over it. If it wasn't the actresses name, maybe. Since it wasn't? No. it's unneeded.

Hi nonnie,  I am sorry if I came of as irate or angry/ attacking. I tend to be very direct or gruff when I’m annoyed at something.  My  issue is that it caused Lana to lose followers/ get numerous asks asking why she had moved. I was more peeved with how this was effecting someone I care about.  My issue with it a) if you type in Parrilla rp or rph into the search, Lana’s is one of the first blogs that shows up, so there’s evidence that someone was using the alias  and b) just how confusing this made things for people.  Also I’ve noticed with most of the Taylor, Harry, Selena, etc. (FCs who are used multiple times), they often have different aliases/ owners of the blogs.

I never meant to attack someone (and I’m sorry if it came off that way), but in a situation like this, it’s hard to not be a little annoyed. As for her not being around anymore, no one wanted that. At least, all that I wanted to see was an alias change so there would be less of a confusion.  (And yes, I’ll acknowledge I ranted about being creative with the url but that is because I’ve been hearing so many complaints/ have had issues with finding urls for personal rps that I’ve been forced to be creative as have others because nearly identical urls make things confusing for all involved.)

I really hope I’ve explained myself and if you wanna talk more about it, please come off anon as this is the only time I’ll be answering this type of question on anon. I’m here to help people with their rp needs.

First off, let me apologize that it took me longer than it should to get this opinion done.  But here we go!

Like first off, I really like how your blog is set up and all of your links are easy to get to. Second I’m in love with your plot and your bios, that’s the way to this girl’s heart.  The amount of detail and care that’s put into them makes me super happy. Your graphics and color scheme flow well together and help to lend to the mood you are trying to create. Definitely an rp I would recommend to anyone who is serious about their writing and characters really so,  people who are looking for a great rpg should give thewickedwarrp a look over and consider joining.

Do you know of any good lgbt+ based rps?

Unfortunately looking through the tumblr tags I was only able to find two rpgs that I would consider “good” (I have really high standards though)  lgbt+ based rps. These rpgs are riverdale–rpg and cluballurerpg . If you’re okay with   inclusive rpgs (but not necessarily based)  I’d recommend  mountprospectrp , thewickedwarrp , shatteredfairytalerpg ,  and hiddenithacarpg. I hope this helps nonnie.

Here’s the thing, if you want to use a popular fc for your rph fc , no one is going to stop you.  Here’s where I and others will get mad. When you make a url so similar to someone’s rph blog  and then, ask to use the same alias, then we have issues.

There are more than enough urls out there for you to make one that’s not even remotely similar. Will it mean that you might have to use the dreaded isms, x’s, etc. in your url?  It might, and unfortuntely Tumblr has yet to fix getting rid of inactive blogs that horde urls or redirect your posts to your new url. But the fact that you almost nearly copy someone’s url and then, use the same alias (along with a nearly identical color scheme on said blog) as them causing them to lose followers/ make people think the person has moved, makes it an issue.

Be original. Pick a different alias, get creative with the url, heck, if you feel like it, pick a new fc but don’t use the same freaking alias or nearly identical url cause you cause issues for other rph’s and the people who need their help.

 Please note guys, Lana hasn’t moved like she’s stated in this ask. She’s stil at parrillarph and hasn’t moved. Parrillaofrp isn’t Lana nor has Lana moved from parillarph. It’s rather rude of someone to do something like this because it causes issues for followers and leads to things like anon’s question..  Hell, I got confused even typing the second sentence.

Do you have any advice for staying inspired and engaged in a group rp? Or a link to a guide or two? Thank you.

Hello nonnie! I think the biggest/most important thing you need to do first is identify why you’re no longer feeling inspired and/or engaged in the group if you once were. Has the group changed? Are admins no longer doing tasks, events, etc. to help keep members engaged? Has the dynamic changed? Do you no longer feel comfortable in the group? If you answer yes to any of those, it may just be that the group just isn’t for you anymore and that you need move on to something new.

If you’re still committed to staying with the group and are happy there and you’re just having muse issues first try to reawaken your muse. I force myself to write and that usually works for me. Find some music that inspires your muse and listen to it as you write. I have a YouTube playlist for each muse, and even building those is helpful since you have to ask yourself who your muse is. Find some memes and fill them out to get more in touch with your muse. If you’re always interacting with the same people in the group, branch out and interact with some new people. You can also find amazing plots here if you need some ideas for threads.

If you really can’t get your muse to work at all despite trying, it may be time to consider giving the muse up. If you still love the group, I would suggest going to the admins and explaining the situation. Let them know you’d like to give up the character you’re playing (and why), but that you’d like to apply for a new muse. This is also the time to let them know if you’d like to retain the face claim for the new muse (assuming your muse was an OC not a canon).
