I'm replaying Biomutant now and seeing it with kinder eyes. I paused for a day to wonder what it might look like as a TTRPG, then made this mockup just to get the idea out of my system.
That's it. The brain goblin has been fed. Back to work.

PIOTR RASPUTIN is a mutant whose entire body is covered in organic metal which grants him incredible levels of strength and immunity. He was born in Russia before emigrating to the United States and enrolling in Xavier’s School for the Gifted as a young boy, and he remains at the school to this day. Piotr is a kind and patient soul who, despite his size and steel frame, has a heart of gold. He trained Negasonic Teenage Warhead, having a close mentor relationship with her, and is still determined to turn Deadpool from bad to good in order to have him join the X-Men.
Piotr helps to train mutants at the school to understand their powers, and many feel at ease when mentored by him. He has a good understanding of physical health and diet, advising them not to skip breakfast and eat a protein bar after a good workout. As such, he’s beloved by many at the school, although he of course remains humble. He is always disposed to help the younger students of the Institute and is ready to put his strength at the service of whoever needs it.
Piotr Rasputin is OPEN TO APPLICATIONS.

» ABOUT
NAME: Levi Williams AGE: Twenty Two POWER: Reactive Adaption OCCUPATION: Up to Player TOWN: Grimstone Park
» HISTORY
For fifteen years Levi believed that there was nothing remotely special about him. He was average, worse than average actually. He was so plain that not even the bullies picked on him, why would they? There wasn’t anything that they could get out of him, he wasn’t smart and he didn’t have money, he was just a speck in the world. That was how Levi saw himself, as an insignificant speck in the world and it didn’t matter how many times his mother told him otherwise. Levi hated everything about himself from the way he talked to the way he presented himself. He often tried to change his ways but no matter how hard he tried the changes never stuck. He was destined to live an unextraordinary life. Or at least, that was what he believed.
Levi had just turned sixteen when his life took a turn for the best, according to him. In an attempt to fit in with the cool kids, Levi did something that he otherwise would have never done, he jumped into the freezing cold lake. It was supposed to have been a stupid dare that would end with him being accepted, but the dare went horribly wrong when Levi’s lungs began to fill with ice cold water. Arms splashed around the water in an effort to keep himself afloat, but he was growing tired. His arms burned and his body began to feel heavier and heavier until he was no longer able to fight for his life. Everything around him went black and he was no longer able to hear his classmates. The next thing that the young boy knew he was in an ambulance being rushed to the hospital. According to the doctors and his mother, his heart stopped for a couple of minutes but he was lucky and came back to life. Lucky. For the first time in his life, he did feel lucky. Most of his classmates went over to see him, granted it was because a lot of them felt guilty but still they were there. Instant popularity wasn’t the only thing that he got out of his little stunt, though, no there was something bigger and better in store for him. Shortly after his incident, Levi discovered what really saved him that day at the lake, a superpower. Levi possessed Reactive Adaption and when he began drowning his power took over. At first, he was completely lost and confused as to what was going on with him but after the government reached out and explained his power, Levi saw it as a chance to start fresh especially after being told that he was going to be moving into a town with more people like him.
Levi has been at Lake Grimstone for about six years now. He is still trying to learn to control not only his power but also his urge to constantly use it, though, that control he craves isn’t as strong as the craving that he has to explore his ability further. What Levi doesn’t know and what few government agents do know is that every aspect of his life was planted in his mind by the government. Levi has lived in Lake Grimstone since birth, his parents both possessed powers and are Lake Grimstone residents. When Levi was born everyone, including the doctors, thought that he was stillborn, however, it had just been his power protecting him. When the government realized that he was in fact alive they did study after study on him, he was a “miracle baby” after all and they wanted to know just how evolved the children of two mutants really were. The studies ended shortly after his fourth birthday when they were no longer able to slow his accelerated aging. The government keeps a close eye on Levi which makes him feel special and thankful to them, of course if he knew the truth, that his real parents are also in Lake Grimstone and that they continue to mourn his death, then his feelings towards the government might be a completely different.

BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in a rough area outside of Pansaw, Hunter never had many luxuries in life. He and his siblings were lucky if they got the basics, With an alcoholic father who couldn’t hold down a job, and a mother that was on minimum wage at some diner, it wasn’t exactly the most ideal upbringing. Hunter and his two younger siblings – a brother and a sister – shared a bedroom up until Hunter was around sixteen years old and he decided enough was enough. He had to get out of there, but he couldn’t face leaving his brother and sister behind.
It was only when he was caught stealing by a local police officer that he first realised he had abilities. Worked up and angry, he’d threatened the cop and told him to let him go. And he did. Hunter found it weird at first – like he didn’t quite believe he could control someone like that, but he kept practising on people and eventually realised he could do more than just tell people what to do.
Making sure to use his abilities to provide for his siblings – the only two people he’d ever cared about – Hunter moved into the city, figuring if he manipulated his way onto the police force, that he could make enough to keep sending them money and spend time solving crimes. Something he found very satisfying despite often being on the wrong side of the law himself. Hunter makes absolutely no effort to be a good person. He may seem charming, but he’s manipulative and can be dangerous.
Hunter had been close to being persuaded to join the Nephilim before the war broke out, but luckily for him, he didn’t. He kept out of it, mostly keeping to himself and observing the mess from afar. His life hasn’t changed much in the years since the war – with the exception of getting a dog, Diesel – and Hunter being Hunter, frustrated with the tediousness of his everyday life, feels like he needs more.
POWERS
MENTAL MANIPULATION: The user can manipulate, modify and control the thoughts, mindsets, and upper brain functions, allowing the ability to render others unconscious, suppress their memories, increase/decrease mental capacity, modify minds to be agreeable, and sway sensations to induce altered perception.
WEAKNESSES
Does not work on mindless beings (corpses, animated objects, robots, etc.) Users of Psychic Shield or Indomitable Will are either immune or highly resistant to all abilities. Physical contact is needed for stronger manipulation and mental healing. All mental effects are temporary and will wear off either after a few minutes or a few hours––if not reinforced by the user––depending on the ability used. Control over someone else’s mind will wear off after a few hours unless the user is constantly in range and reinforcing the connection. Overuse of powers can drain the user or possibly even render them unconscious.

Good afternoon!
As we approach our one month mark, both of us want to thank all of you, members and non-members alike, for taking the time to check us out! Mutants is a project that we’ve been working on for about year (!!!!!!!) and it means the world to us that you spent the time to look at our work and our mutants. We have some goodies in the works for our members, but those will be posted once we hit the official one month mark. So, get ready!
Just a heads up, Admin Hay is currently on vacation while Admin Kay will officially be moving tomorrow! We’ll still be lurking, but it might take us a bit to reply to messages. As always though, we’re here for any questions you might have!
THE N.E.O.N. GROUP
Before its inception, N.E.O.N. stood as four separate entities — each one a titan within their respective field.
The first, the Neviar Research Corporation, existed at the helm of the pharmaceutical industry; renowned for their strides in modern and unique products, marking them as a singular saviour among a sea of power hungry suits.
Each year their resources, and profits, would see an unheard of increase and quickly Neviar became a household name; their message carried by the slew of salesmen that had been sent to the four corners of the nation — and soon after, beyond.
i have two announcements to make! first is that all of our bios have been pulled down so we can revamp them and make them all shiny and new. they’ll be returning, but please please please request taken / open bios you’d like to see so i can push them up the list. in the meanwhile, the character pages are up to date so you can see who we have and who’s available. my second point is: tomorrow is our birthday! that’s right, folks. tomorrow we celebrate five years as a marvel rpg. i’ll make something more sappy then, but cheers to us!
