“You’re welcome” is such a weird phrase. What am I welcoming this person into? I do something, they thank me, and then I tell then that they are welcome. Welcome into what?? Gratitude? Do we need to give gratefulness permission to people after they’ve thanked? Why don’t we just respond with “I appreciate your gratitude” or something like that. Makes you sound super important too.
