Michaela felt marginally better, partly from the blood and partly from the fact that she wasnât so fucking alone anymore. Even if they were just hallucinations in her head, at least she wouldnât die alone. Nataliaâs hand was still on her body, making it harder to dispute that they were figments in her imagination. But then again, she was being uncharacteristically nice. The thoughts floated through her brain at a snailâs pace, and she lifted her head so she could look over at the werewolf, frowning as she saw similar marks on her.Â
âDunno what theyâre trying to do. Thought you knew,â she slurred, turning her head in Nataliaâs direction. âYou helped them grab me. Sorry for pissing you off that much.â Her fingers wiggled briefly in memory of the aneurysm spell that had been used against her. âDidnât mean to make you all huffy even though youâre cute when you are.â
Natalia raised her eyebrow and tried to process all of this. âYeah, Iâ They were writing things down when they were pouring the shit in my throat. Kind of figured it was my dad.â She winced, realizing she might not have filled them in entirely. But now sheâs not even sure if it is him or something else. She sighed and ran her fingers through Michaelaâs hair, trying to sooth her a bit more. âIâm not the only person on the planet that knows that spell, you nerd. I donât want to hurt you. Also, this is not an appropriate time to flirt, you asses. You both look like hell. You havenât had any drugs since they took you, have you?âÂ
Even more than being able to articular the events of the past few days, Reagan wanted to be able to process all of this and figure out what was going on. She wanted to know who was responsible for this so she could take it upon herself to rip them a new one. âYour dad? Why your dad?â She asked, looking over for a second before looking back down, withdrawing on herself. She shook her head at the question. It was obvious they hadnât had anything in days. âNot unless you count wolfsbane.âÂ
