My new favourite texture to draw. This is the 110th of these loose bio sketches this year. Years ago i took a photo of all the artwork i did over a year, laid across my bed. There were maybe 20 drawings, a few crappy acrylic paintings, i was proud of how productive I was. I realised a couple of years ago. I needed to work a lot harder, that i had such a long way to go. This year i have set myself a new standard. I also have a sketch book of Japanese designs. An what is becoming a stack of oil paintings i haven't always shared, not to mention all the tattoos. I had a friend once said i was boring when i drew. We dont talk much. Also fuck the melbourne cup it is disgusting.

This wilted rose, i walked past years ago on my way to work. i watched it bloom an slowly fade into the ether. I took photos at different stages of life but this is probably my favourite. I never liked the roses that grew in that garden again. I also did a final pass on the other canvas with the leftovers. I had started at a @blackmarktattoo paint night, months ago. I was going to leave it as a one night stand kinda deal but i just couldn't resist a quick glaze an some finer details. #paintings #paintfaster

Not finished, But here is Davids Bio chest, including a large cover up. This is my favourite tattoo style. Wish i was asked to do more. We are continuing down over Davids stomach next month. #biomech #biomechtattoo #biomech_collective #tattoo

I will have a healed photo if this piece soon! I really like this one, put some genuine creativity into it from initial design to finishing touches has been one if the most personally rewarding an challenging projects in a long time. Would love to do more pieces like this.

have been starting new projects lately. Realised this year i have hardly posted any tattoo work, been doing to many cover ups or maybe there are a lot of half finished pieces out there. I still have some appointments left for 2017 so of you wanna get in let me know. #tattoos

The process of my last painting. I think i did it in 6 session. I was lost purely thinking about the paint so i have no idea how long the piece took. But i know it was at least over 6 different occasions. I approached the piece a little differently to normal, skipping the under painting an being a little more methodical in application trying to get the right tone an colour before building away from my references an letting my creativity take control until there was red everywhere.

I dropped off this painting in person today. It was nice to watch @jairaphael reaction as @caitrynf surprised him with it as a belated Fathers day gift. Their beautiful daughter Willa emerging from a cabbage, which as subject matter i found endlessly more interesting than a name an date tattooed into jais plump ass. #paintings

Finished up my board for @mossfoundationskaters charity fundraiser happening soon. I was part of their incredibly successful show last year, its great to be invited back for a second year. #paintings
