We can knit again 🎉🎉

Right now, the cost for 10 minutes of knitting is 30 minutes sitting in bed (the reclining type of "sitting", kind of halfway between sitting and lying down). I will take it!!!!

I'll post a picture later, when its name is finalized, but we finished up a baby opossum we abandoned ages ago 🥺 [edit: picture here!]

To give an idea of the impact of this last year of alternating "no care" with "very small amounts of care of varying quality":

We conceptualize our energy as "stamina points", like in a video game. We have a maximum amount of stamina points (our month-to-month ability level when fully rested), and a current level of stamina points (how we're doing at that moment).

Last October, our maximum stamina point amount was 24. It is now 11.

24 stamina points means that if we're fully rested, we can go for more than a half-hour walk with our cane. 11 maximum stamina points means that starting from fully rested, 10 minutes of knitting (literally just moving the needles in our lap, super easy, and we've been doing it for 17 years now) requires thirty minutes of rest afterwards to return to 11 stamina points.

I would send a sternly worded letter to a government official iF I HAD THE ENERGY 😭
